PnM that is definitely a symptom, sounds like baby-brain to me !!

Bucky2008 · 02/08/2008 09:59

Woohoo a symptom, a symptom ! Oooh how exciting....I have got my reserve bad of baby dust out and thrown it on PnMs head .

Its going to be a quiet week...everyone is on holiday except me (and the rest of you who will still be here with me of course)! Oh I know, I only just came back but I WANT to go again! .

How fantastic to 'see' Eelcatcher and MTW . Do say 'hi' to Abby and Hatty, I think about them all the time and wonder how they are getting on. It's nice when I see DG because you all graduated around the same time and I can actually see how she is looking fabulous, so I am sure you all are too...

Glad you had a fun lunch GG. It's good that you make the most of life and don't put everything on hold. May was two years for me, so I am well on my way to two and a half. These days I am starting to think I am wasting my life away as I have spent so long avoiding situations that are not conducive with ttc, that I feel I have missed out on stuff. Those of you who have met me may not believe it, but I was a bit of a party girl before . I have avoided my old friends somewhat because I think they would think I am boring now. They would collapse with shock if I told them I was ttc . I miss my old life sometimes though. It was much more varied and a bit glamourous too I suppose....Although after a week of going back to it I would be fed up again and would be running back to DP and the pups. Hope this doesn't sound all depressing, I am just waxing lyrical, not at all down about anything today . Just kind of pensive.

I remember Twilightsurfer, PnM. It does seem like just the other day...She had a MC and then got a BFP the next month after trying for like 13 months....I wonder which of us will be first? I have a good feeling about this month. I think we are about due some good news....

P.S. Molly is not afraid of jumping through the door. The problem is she wont push the flap with her head. If I tape up the flap she will jump through it but in winter I can't do that, we will all freeze! She will jump through it immediately behind Finn because then his head pushes the flap. This is annoying Finn intensely as they have both got stuck on several occasions now, as the flap is big enough for one dog but not too. Also, we had a hilarious trip to the pub the othernight. Well I thought it was hilarious but DP did not. Remind me to tell you all when I see you.

We have to sort the Brighton Trip. I will wait for Scary and MOB to come back and then suggest a date....

Thanks for all your hello's.

Bucky I've just been reading all the lunch, drink, pub stories hankering after my free and easy days then I read your comment about missing out on things. Sometimes I think what ever I have I'm never bloody satisfied! I'm truly happy but even a song from 1998 can put a smile on my face as to those carefree days
And poor Finn getting stuck in the flap he must get really frustrated

PnM You got us mixed up but never mind we will definately count that as your first symptom

GorgonsGin · 04/08/2008 08:58

hello all,

I am around this week but in the middle of a manci day, so won't be able to post much

Hurrah for symptoms picknmix. Like Bucky said, i have a good feeling this month that one of us is going to be lucky.

Bucky - know exactly what you mean about giving up being good. I used to be a total party animal and I miss it. I wouldn;t mind on elittle bit, if I had a baby, but putting your old life on hold for a new life that just isn't happening (for me, at least) is just depressing. So funny about Molly and the dog flap.

MOB - I am probably too late, but have a lovely holiday

Ei - no I wasn't way this weekend. On eof the few eekends in London. I am away next weekend (Edinburgh) and the weekend after (Lake District), so the travels continue. And I don't even work in the travel industry or have Judith Chalmers's tan!

MIbbes - wow, you hatty and abbey all on one thread. We did have a splendid run on BFP's for a while. We'll slowly whittle us all away until we are all on the "Due in NOv/march/June" threads

Must dash and do some work, so have a lovely day everyone. I'll look in later on you all. I am CD18 today and DH is off in the States for a week (with his Man Vits, suppply of selenium enhancing brazil nuts and strict instructions to eat lots of fresh fruit and veg ), so that's me out for this month. We gave it a pretty good shot actually, so here's hoping. Let the symptom spotting begin (again!) .

hello to caitni and the others too

abbymeg · 04/08/2008 20:33

Hello! I have been hovering about and not posting much as I was biting my nails, waiting for the 20wk scan as I have been a bit haunted by doctor telling me that any damage I might have done to baby would show up then.

Anyway, I went today and it's fine. The ultrasound lady was really quiet, which was quite frustrating as I was worried. However, she concluded that all is well. And "it looks like a boy". So, I'm assuming this means it stands a good chance of being a boy or a masculine girl .

It's a fidget - possible something to do with my coca-cola fixation !

I bring bags of fertile baby dust for you all ***

07mumstheword · 04/08/2008 21:45

Hello old cycle buddy Abbeymeg Congratulations on a healthy scan you can relax now, lovely to hear all is well.

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 05/08/2008 01:14

hi ladies
abbey lovely news on your scan and congrats on finding out you will be having a little boy any names yet?
MTW hi i hope you and you little baby are doing well
GG oh you are such a big traveller i would love to have weekends away but that would usually involve a big persuasionary operation for me with DH are you away for work? or is it for a nice relaxing weekend?
PnM hi how are you any signs of anything yet? are you due to test soon?
hi to MOB bucky caitni scary mibbes and anyone else who i have missed or who is lurking
it was me and DHs wedding anniversary today and we had a lovely meal with some bubbly to celebrate we have now officially been married for a grand total of ONE year

xx ei xx

Caitni · 05/08/2008 14:51

Hi everyone

Ei congrats on your anniversary! Hope you and your DH had a great time celebrating It's amazing how quickly time passes isn't it?

Mibbes, MTW & Abbey so good to hear from graduates! Am glad that you're all doing well xx

PnM any more symptoms to report young lady?? I've also got a very good feeling that this thread is going to get lucky this month with some BFPs...fingers crossed you're our first one!

Bucky I know what you mean about missing the old life at times...or not missing it but feeling nostalgic for it. I was also a bit of a carouser, lots of glam parties and adventures. I pop back into that world every now and then, to see friends, but it's so different when you're ttc (mainly because I don't drink as much as I used to - amazing how somethings are only fun after a few glasses of vino lol). I'm very happy with my life now though, as even the decision to try to make a new life with my DH is a lot more interesting and fun than most of the adventures I had then! Hopefully we'll get our baby before too long, though I somehow think the sleepless nights etc will make me even more nostalgic

GG sounds like your DH has quite the travel kit! I'm glad you've given it a good shot, got to be in it to win it as I'm also feeling positive for you this month [positive vibes emoticon]

And hello to our holiday makers MOB SH & Lou - hope you're all having good times...and the weather's better than the rain here!

I've had a busy few days - actually went back up to London on Saturday for a friend's birthday - dinner at the utter lovely Smiths of Smithfield (highly recommended, even the veggies like it ) and stayed with one of our best friends. I'm off to Cork after work - my sister's getting married on Thursday and am so so so so excited . She's the baby of the family, so this is the last family wedding. As you can imagine, it's not going to be a staid affair

I think I ovulated yesterday, though my temp didn't rise as much this morning as some months...hope it was yesterday as otherwise all our BD-ing will have been a bit early (my DH isn't coming to Ireland until tomorrow evening, so not like I can cram in anymore at this stage!). Still, feeling positive and pretty relaxed - the wedding will keep my mind off things until next week anyway .

Best get back to work now though!!
xx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 05/08/2008 21:09

hi ladies
caitni have a lovely time in cork my family is originally from cork although i have never visited there myself i hope you caught the egg
GG hope you have caught the egg this cycle fingers crossed for you
well FF finally gave me my lines it looks like i ovulated on cd15 so i am 9dpo and due to test in 4 days[nail-biting emoticon] i do have symptoms this cycle but i am desperately trying not to read too much into it!! up to now my list includes sore (.)(.)'s (well actually its the nipples that are really sore) real heavy tiredness, headaches, slight nausea, snappiness, and i had a little bit of a pink wipe a few days ago but i am trying not to get my hopes up and failing spectacularly
hope evryone else is ok
xx ei xx

Bucky2008 · 05/08/2008 22:09

Oh I am so excited this month . I just KNOW that we are going to have a good month. I just have the strongest feeling . Ei babydust on your head to make sure that you are the first to get your BFP.

CD13 here so I will hopefully be joining the egg hatching club soon. Peeing on sticks this month (OPKs) so will start looking out for my face soon.

Caitni, say hi to Cork for me. Cork gave me my DP and the best times ever, it has a place in my heart. Also the best weddings I have ever been to have been Irish weddings. I remember clearly running bare foot in full evening dress through the rain laughing and shrieking like a banshee at about 4am in the morning, whilst being chased around the hotel grounds by half the wedding party in County Mayo. That was after we won a piggyback race through the hotel hallways and DP dropped me down some stairs by accident . Oh, how I was one of those people I hate when staying at hotels....at least most of the residents were the wedding party and they weren't in bed anyway.

hello everyone - just popping in to say a quick hello. Sorry for the radio silence. I have been absolutely swamped at work . I am still in work (from yesterday ) but probably heading home soo-ish, so thought I would check in quickly and see how you are all doing because the broadband is down at home and I am off to sleep all day and leave this dreadful place

Hope someone has a good feeling about me this month

bl**dy hell, I must be tired. Three posts the same.

sorry

PicknMix · 06/08/2008 10:22

Morning!

Hellooooooooo to Abby! Brilliant news about the scan, so so pleased to hear all is ok. You must feel so relieved

GG I can't believe you were still up and working at 5am !!! Get yourself home and to bed!!

Ei things are sounding promising for you - loving the symptoms and have limbs crossed for you - only 3 days left until test day!! sounds like you had a lovely anniversary as well

Bucky have you had a on your opk yet?! Hope Molly is getting better with the door - I'm sure she'll pick it up in the end, have you tried clicker training with her? Click and treat her every time she goes near the door then gradually only click and treat her when her nose actually touches the door, then when she actually pushes the door etc. Will take a few weeks but once she's got the hang of it its all pavlov and she'll do it all the time !

Hope you have a fab time in Cork Caitni and that the wedding is fantastic. I'm sure even if you ov'ed a bit later that your DH's swimmers are still treading water waiting for that egg

I'm off to find some new clothes today - turns out Ive put on an AWFUL amount of weight and none of my clothes really fit. I would love to count it as a symptom but the only thing I can attribute it to is far too many Feast lollies (I have a slight addiction to them at the mo, so retro!) and a love of roast potatoes!! I am 11dpo with an lp of 15 and yes, I have tested everyday since 8dpo with ebay cheapies. Sad but true. And yes, they have (unsurprisingly) all been bfns. I no longer have sore (.)(.) which in itself is odd, usually hurt just after ov right up until period so no idea what to make of that.

Af is actually due on Monday and that is when I have my job interview - rubbish!! I'll have butterflies and cramps, what a combo !

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 06/08/2008 13:47

hi ladies
PnM sorry bout the bfns but it is seriously earlyso dont be disheartened i am 10dpo myself and due to the fact that i havent got any tests in stock at home i havent tested yet my temp shot up today so i hope it stays high as i will be testing friday/saturday and if not i will be waiting until next week to test to avoid any knowledge of CP etc good luck
GG blardy hell!!! your job works you hard doesnt it!!! what is it that you do? the only job i have ever had that warranted a 5am finish was when i worked in a nightclub i hope you have a good sleep today
hi to everyone else

hattyyellow · 06/08/2008 14:11

Hello!

Only me! Have just skimmed one page as supposed to be working but everyone sounds pretty upbeat which is good to see .

I've just turned 20 weeks, had the 20 week scan on Friday and they think it's another little girl, but not 100% sure - she turned away to preserve her modesty when the radiographer tried to look between her legs!

Tired but happy and finding it hard to believe I am over half way! Any news from DG? She must be due scarily soon...

Throwing tons and tons of babydust at you all.

ps

GG I have a good feeling about you this month

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 06/08/2008 15:52

hey hatty lovely to see you 20 weeks wow time has flown!! and lovely news that you are most likely having a little girl lovely news
xx ei xx

GorgonsGin · 07/08/2008 10:07

hatty!!!! It's brilliant to have you back on the 2WW. In fact, why don't you come back and join us two weeks before your due date and you can be on the 2WW just like old times. Your symptoms might be slightly different to ours , but we'll help you spot them anyway. Awww, I have gone all soppy thinking about your little girl. And are the radiographers absolutely sure there aren't two little ones in there...?! I am so excited for you!. i am glad someone has a good feeling for me this month! After a bit of calendar checking I can confirm I am on CD21 today, but no symptoms, not even sore (.)(.)

Bless DH, he has been away on a business trip to the States. he went shopping there (cheap! ) and has come back with lots of pairs of very loose, thin cotton boxer shorts - he used to refuse to wear them because he didn't like feeling like he was "hanging loose". he really is an all or nothing person and he has literally embraced all the tips on improving sperm counts

Spent all day in bed yesterday after arriving home at 9am, after a 24 hour working day . I am (almost!) back to normal now. Got to bed just as LKToday was on and then my mobile went at 12 and woke me up in a total daze. It was Mr Needles asking if I was ok, because I should have been there for my appointment!! I'd completely forgotten . Eek, I was so embarrassed and you have to pay for non-cancelled appointments, but he was ever so sweet and said to come in today instead and he wouldn't charge me, but wanted to try some anti-stress stuff too because he was worried about me. If DH decided to leave me, I'd ask out Mr Needles he's so nice . I will definitely fall asleep today on the couch!

picknmix - sorry about the BFN's but as ei siad, it is early days. Fingers crossed. Did your Dh get any further with his complaint re SA? hmm, your cycles sound like mine. I usually get sore (.)(.) straight after ovulation and nothing this month for me. I'm ery symptom free actually . Oh god, I've out on loads of weight too - wine and cheese sarnies being the culprits I expect and sitting an my desk not moving my big a*se enough

ei - erm, I'm a lawyer. We were trying to sell a comapny before it went bust. We have to work like that every so often. Not good for TTC - don't know what I'd have done if that had happened at a key time around OV when I wanted to BD! I'd have missed the boat through exhaustion. What nightclub did you work in?

caitni - are you about? Cooooo eeeeee

LOL at Mystic Bucky - do you have a good feeling about you Buckster. I really have my fingers crossed for a BFP for you. What CD are you on this month?

Big wave to all the PG ladies who drop in and anyone else I have missed off. When is scary back from her holidays?

GGx

ScaryHairy · 07/08/2008 13:16

Hi ladies
I am still on hols but missed you all so have whipped out my blackberry (carefully avoiding emails) but it is a pain reading the thread on here so I can't catch up properly.

Still I LOL at GG asking out Mr Needles. Hands off! He's mine...

Bad news this end... I am about CD 25 I think (iirc I am a day behind Ei) and my temp still hasn't gone up so I think this cycle is anovulatory unless it is possible to ov without a rise (can someone Google for me??). At least I won't be disappointed when AF shows up, but I am feeling very defeated. First the ectopic, then a CP and now this. Anyone get the impression I am not supposed to have another child? I'm seeing the consultant on Monday and am stressing because I don't know what I want them to do.

Ought to go enjoy the sun, but goodluck for the testers. Am looking forward to hearing about lots of BFPs on my return.

GorgonsGin · 07/08/2008 13:43

scary - LOL! Ok, ok, you saw Mr Needles first.

I had a quick look on google for you re temperature drops and found this

It might not be very helpful, but I have pasted it for you anyway, 'cause Blackberries are a pain!

"Can a person ovulate without a rise in basal body temperature?

Dr. Amos: The basal body temperature charting can have many problems. Taking your temperature exactly at the same time can be difficult. So it's not unusual to see curves that are not typical. If you take your temperatures all the time correctly then you would expect to see ovulation. It's unlikely to not see ovulation if you take it correctly.

It says later it is possible to ovulate without a tempreture rise, but anovulatory is more likely.

Hope you are having a lovely holiday. I don't believe for a minute you are not going to have another little one. All this waiting and pain after the ectopic must make it so hard for you, but we're all here for you. ((((higs))))))

ScaryHairy · 07/08/2008 14:50

Thanks for that GG. Sounds like I need to stop clutching at straws and focus on next month.
See you all on Sunday.
