MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 22:07

Oh God, RFN2, I'm so sorry to hear that. You poor poor thing.
I'm not really sure what to say, but am sending you (((higs))) and if you need to vent or anything, please go right ahead.

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 22:13

Also, lots of luck to your DH tomorrow Caitni. It's great that things are moving along for you both.

I don't believe for a second in implantation dips. If I start to get lots of creamy CM I think that will be significant (I had that the last 2 times) but otherwise I am trying really hard not to get too hopeful.

Hope the rest of you are having a good evening.

Madoldbird · 11/11/2008 08:42

RFN2 So sorry to hear what an awful time you are having. i hope you know you can come here and talk, whether ttc or not. If you are able, do come back and let us know how you are. XXX

EI How are you feeling today?

Caitni Glad you have got your blood test booked in.

MrsH How is your temp this morning?

PnM Hope things are ok with you.

Thank you EI, MrsH & Caitni for talking some sense into me! The best thing to do is to wait until Sunday, when i know it will be an accurate result. Opinions on how long the hCG takes to go vary - some people say 1000iu per day, others say 14 days. By Sunday it will definitely be gone - only another few days to wait! I think the only way to test early would be do do tests all through the 2ww, i.e wait until you get a -ve to ensure the jab has gone, then any +ve after that would be a pregnancy.

Have a good day everyone.

Caitni · 11/11/2008 17:42

RFN2 you poor thing, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I think you did the right thing asking him to leave, as you have to think about yourself and your DS. to you and remember we're here for you if you want to vent or rant about anything.

MOB I think you're right about the constant testing, as that sounds like the only way of knowing for sure that a positive is a positive. Anyway, just think, the longer you leave it then the higher your HCG levels will be on Sunday . I have a really good feeling about this cycle for you, so am really hoping you get the good news you deserve . It will cheer us all up tremendously when madoldchick (or even madoldchicks ) comes out of the ether .

MrsH I must say my chart overlay obsession habit on FertilityFriend means I'm fairly convinced about implantation dips (and Mibbes didn't you have one too??). Have you seen any sort of rise today? And how many dpo are you again? Fingers crossed for you!!

ei any more dreams lady? Hope things are good with you and you're over your tiredness (sounds like a symptom to me !)

Hi to PnM and Bucky and everyone

So my DH's test this morning was fine. I think he's asked for the results to go straight to the GP, but will check with him tonight. For some reason, I've got the sort of obsessive hopefulness about getting pregnant that I've not had since about May (I've even checked what my due date would be if I was pregnant this month and I've not done that since the early hopeful days!). Which is odd, as I definitely don't have any symptoms and my temps are fairly constant but not very high for me (though there's a definite biphasic pattern so I do think I've ovulated). Well is about all I can think.

Would you belive I'm off to my first ever football match tonight? Arsenal v Wigan Athletic - a friend lives near Emirates stadium and finally convinced me and my DH to go along with her and her DP (and some others). Should hopefully be a laugh! Though have brought some extra warm clothes as not fancying standing in the wind and rain too much ...

MrsHappy · 11/11/2008 19:25

Caitni since you are a strange chart obsessive, I have linked to mine although to be fair I tend to have a wee dip around 6dpo - you can see it in last month's chart too. Am 7dpo today and the real sign for me would be if I got tonnes creamy/yellowy CM. I have had little bits a few times today, but am looking for it like a complete obsessive so I don't think it is enough to get excited about.

Glad your DH's test was ok and he wasn't thwarted by the tiny test cups. I guess since it is private his results should come really fast?

Enjoy the footie- I was offered a ticket too but sadly had to decline...

Have the embryos had any more cake cravings, MOB?

Are you still tired Ei? I agree with Caitni - that does sound very much like a symptom to me!

Hope you're ok today RFN2.

Are things going a bit better for you Picknmix?

Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all well.

HappyandEiknowit · 11/11/2008 20:16

hi ladies
thanks for asking after me yes i am still shattered but i think thats more down to DD being a restless sleeper and getting up at the arse crack of dawn not sure about the bloated belly and vomiting today though i think i only Oved a couple of days ago so who knows
MOB good idea to wait until sunday do you have to do a HPT yourself or will the clinic do a blood test for you? i have everything crossed for you hun
mrshappy i have a feeling you are going to get a bfp this cycle
caitni have you got blonde hair by any chance? i had a dream early this morning about a heavily preg blonde woman who i kept calling caitlin i only know one caitlin and she is 9 years old and very dark haired
it was via a heavily preg woman dream that mibbes preg was predicted
RFN2 im so sorry to hear about your troubles with your DP i hope things get better for you xx keep in touch if you need a shoulder to cry on xx
hello to everyone else lurking or otherwise
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 11/11/2008 20:52

Oooooh. The last time Ei said that about me I was up the duff! (Although it was ectopic, but that was rather out of left field so probably unpredictable!!).

Caitni · 12/11/2008 00:12

Ei ooh er missus I'm very excited by your dream as I do [gulp] indeed have blond hair . I shall now be taking my pregnancy day-dreaming to new and exciting levels . I must say I do feel a bit strange, as I had some cramping this evening (I get cramping very infrequently)...but your own symptoms sound so promising!! Vomiting, bloated tummy and exhaustion...Ei I'm grinning thinking about what those could mean

MrsH Thanks for posting your chart! I think this dip looks more promising than last month, as your temp was higher and dipped more yesterday. I also think your chart is just looking so much nicer than last month - lovely textbook day 14 ovulation, steadier temps. Your body is getting back to its normal fertile self, and I'm confident that you'll get your BFP soon

MOB hope the cake cravings are continuing

RFN2 hope you're doing OK and taking care of yourself xx

And hi to everyone else

So I must say the footie tonight was truly excellent (though we snuck off ten mins early to get to Kings X in time for our train). Who knew that chanting "who are ya? who are ya?" at the [tiny handful of] Wigan supporters everytime Arsenal scored could be so much fun ...

Anyway, off to bed now. Night night (and hope we all get dreams as sweet as ei's!!)

MrsHappy · 12/11/2008 07:43

Well I dreamed that Simon Cowell was helping me choose my daughter's school. Does that count, Caitni? The cramping sounds v exciting, by the way.

Well, I have found a new exciting symptom for us all to spot. Ray81 on one of the other threads has just got a BFP after noticing that the area of her foot that corresponds with her uterus in reflexology was swollen, and that this was the same for one of her pregnant friends! Iirc, it's on your right foot, by the ankle on the inside. It's the bit just behind the bottom of your ankle bone, if that makes sense. We'll all be checking our ankles from now on, (less yucky than checking CP at least!) but be careful not to prod it lots or anything!!

Temp has gone up again today but I was awake for about 10 mins before I took it because I thought I heard a noise downstairs. (God I sound like Adrian Mole).

mibbes · 12/11/2008 08:25

MrsHappy oooh I love charts too and agree with Caitni that yours is looking good this cycle ! I know you don't believe in imp dips but I had one on my BFP cycle and that is a significant rise on 7dpo and again today . I just checked my right inside ankle (not easy with my big bump !) and it is slightly more raised than the left !!!

Caitni I really hope your symptoms and Ei's prediction mean an early xmas pressie is coming your way.

Ei sounds very promising missus ! Maybe there is going to be a bumper-pre-xmas bundle of BFPs on this thread ....

JollyBear · 12/11/2008 11:57

Hello everyone,

R4N2 What a horrible situation. Hope things work out for you.

MOB How are you feeling? I'm so anxious to know if it has worked, I can't imagine how you are feeling. Are you waiting till Sunday or do the clinic test for you?

MrsH What a lovely chart! Being awake for 10 mins before taking your temp is OK as long as you didn't get out of bed or do anything energetic

Caitni You are lucky to get an Ei dream, she has been right with her predictions so many times.

Ei I found my old chart when having a tidy up the other day and I was bloated from just after ov and it never went away! Fingers crossed for you.

at mibbes

I'll be popping in again this week for updates, I'll have my fingers firmly crossed for some BFPs . Everything is well with Jollycub and I. He or she spends a lot of time shuffling about on my bladder and having the hiccups!

MrsHappy · 12/11/2008 16:28

Hi ladies

Jollybear and Mibbes how are the bumps? I am very excited at the prospect of being a cyber-auntie again. Are you both due in December or am I imagining that? JB I remember the hiccups being the funniest thing when I was pg with my daughter (to start with anyway - she had them at least 3 times each day so sometimes it was a bit much) and she continued to hiccup loads for months after she was born.

I hope you're ok RFN2

Any more cravings/symptoms MOB? I saw on the AC thread the bit about being "pregnant until proven otherwise" which is probably a really nice way to think of things.

PnM Are things looking up for you yet? How did everything pan out for your sister? Am I right in thinking that you have your first ferility appointment tomorrow? Lots of luck - I hope they are really really helpful.

Bloated belly hey Ei? That sounds like a symptom too...

Caitni the cramping sounds very promising.

I am much the same. Sometimes I have a fleeting moment of nausea or sore breasts, but it is gone as fast as it appears. And the CM position is no more promising than before. Oh well if I get another high temp tomorrow maybe FF will tell me I am triphasic (not that that means anything, in spite of what TCOYF tells us). I am now a FF VIP and so I have been putting my chart over other people's and I found a pg chart last night that was virtually identical. (There are probably hundreds of similar charts which are non-pg ones) but allowed myself to start getting a bit excited for a minute. Must calm down!!!

Caitni · 12/11/2008 18:07

Hey ladies

MrsH Simon Cowell choosing your daughter's school? That had my giggling at my desk - hope he was wearing trousers that were nice and highwaisted . And welcome to my world of chart overlay . I think it's really positive that you found one that matched yours so much, it can only be a good sign (it also helps me to not obsess so much about individ temps...). Fingers crossed for a nice high temp for you tomorrow! And I have of course been feeling my right ankle...what must I look like?!?

JollyBear lol at Jollycub hiccuping! That must be so exciting (although I could imagine it being more than a little disconcerting too, especially if he/she's on your bladder at the same time ). Do keep us updated on how you are, I love hearing bump reports from our pregnant graduates

Mibbes same goes for you on the old bump updates though not long now before you'll be making us all cyber aunties again!! [excited emoticon]

PnM good luck tomorrow. I hope the appointment with the consultant goes well and you get some good options about how to move forward xxx

and to everyone else as have to rush off. I've got my day 21 test tomorrow, so will have a slight lie-in (very much a good thing!) but am manic at work so am not looking forward to another frantic afternoon as I try to clear things. But off to Ireland tomorrow night - yay!!

caitni xx

PS Ei I was killing time in Boots today and bought some FR tests - BOGOF offer on them - I'd sworn off the FR tests but just couldn't miss a good offer . Thank god I'm in Ireland or I'd be POAS like a manic all weekend [whistles sheepishly]. Hope you're doing well and let us know about your symptoms how you're doing .

Bucky2008 · 12/11/2008 20:56

Hey girls, glad to see everyone is still optimistic and it's all very exciting...

Where's PnM??? I haven't read right back to where I finished last time (sorry...lazy!).

Anyway, I am on the 2WW, AF due at the weekend. I however have BD's once in a month! Albeit around ov. I have also done nothing conduicive with fertility including sneaking the odd fag (and I gave up smoking years ago!). I tell you I have turned a bit wild since the whole carting round Euston night . I can't figure out how to snap out of it again, and with Xmas round the corner it is going to prove more and more difficult!

Caitni very exciting about Eis prediction...she has been right ALOT! So fingers crossed.

MOB Hang in there for the weekend lady. Just 4 more sleeps. You can do it!!!

MrsH...you are super fertile so I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is your month again and your chart looks good.

Mibbesyeelcatcher and Jollybear big higs to you and beans. xx

As for GG she has vanished.... She seems to be ok, as I see her status updates on Facebook. Maybe she is just taking some time out.

I have to go for my day 3 bloods early next week (keeps falling on a weekend so I havent managed it yet!) and then my doc appt is in December, so I have to sort myself before then....

Good to 'see' you all. Love ya.

Buckyx

OP posts:
Caitni · 12/11/2008 22:14

Hi Bucky I also have my day 3 bloods early next week so here's to nice normal profiles for us both . And glad to hear that real Bucky is still going strong, there's only so much being "good" for the sake of ttc that a gal can take (and I speak as someone who's not had a drop of booze since Sept ).

And sounds like GG is probably taking time out, am sure she knows we're here for her when/if she wants to come back when her IVF starts in Jan...

xxx

MrsHappy · 12/11/2008 22:18

Buckeeeeey Hello my dear
I'm glad to hear you are still having fun. Hey, if being good doesn't do the trick, you might as well re-introduce alcohol into your diet!! Can't believe you haven't drunk anything since Sept Caitni. I would be sleep-drinking if that were me!!

Good luck with the blood tests, both of you.

(Bucky- I really don't think I am that fertile... it took me 9 months to get the first ectopic so I suspect I may be in this for the long haul. Boo hiss!)

Caitni · 12/11/2008 23:06

at the sleep drinking MrsH (perhaps that's what I've been doing all along...).

Just been out for a quick spin with my DH. I'm taking to this learning to drive lark like a duck to water (though am still woefully a beginner...tonight was the first time I ever reversed! Was also DH's first time being driven by me, which is a turn up for the books! Such an exciting life we lead ).

OK now must go and pack for Ireland...sweet dreams ladies.

PicknMix · 13/11/2008 09:24

Morning all,

Am sat waiting for my car to have its MOT (fingers crossed everyone, although the way my luck is going at the mo I have a feeling it will fail).

Bucky! Its lovely to 'see' you again, tis good that old Bucky is enjoying herself so much! I figure the one and only time I managed to get pregnant was when I wasn't on a concoction of fertility vits and treatments! Let us know how your blood test goes x

Well done on the driving Caitni, Brighton is quite a scary place to drive sometimes (I hate hill starts!). Hope you have a fab time away (have you left the FR tests at home?? ). Good luck with your blood tests today - do you have to wait long for the results?

RFN2 I'm so sorry to hear what happened. Take the best of care of yourself and your dc, please come back if you need us for anything xx

MrsH am finding your Simon Cowell dream v amusing! Have my fingers crossed for you, have a very good feeling bout this month for you!

Ei, your dreams are always so great at predictions, please could you dream up some magic for a slighty overweight, dark haired country living girl ?

And a big HI to our pregnant ladies! JB I imagine the hiccups can be a little disconcerting!

I have got my appt today, thank you all for remembering. I keep flipping from being excited, to feeling really disheartened that its come to this. Our making a baby was not supposed to be such a non-romantic procedure. I never invisiged this, as did none of you guys.

Shit, car failed, best go pay the damage. Will catch up later xx

MrsHappy · 13/11/2008 12:51

PnM - please don't worry about your appointment. I know how you feel: when friends said to me that having the appointment was a positive step I just felt sad to find myself there. I never thought, even for an instant, that it would come to this. The thing is that once I got there and spoke to the doctor I stopped feeling worried and started to feel as though something good might happen after all. Of course I am still sad to be contemplating IVF (it's not how anyone plans to conceive), but at least it means that there is hope. With any luck you'll find that things start to happen really quickly once you're "in the system" and before you know if there'll be a little jellybaby taking up all of your time! Then you won't give a stuff about your recent run of crappy luck. Take care.

Caitni · 13/11/2008 16:25

PnM hope that appointment is going/has gone well. It's so normal to flip between excitement and sadness about what things have come to. I'm kind of the same - glad that the ball is rolling but so sad that it's not the romantic process I thought it was going to be. Let us know how you get on.

This is just a quick note from me, as have to get to heathrow after work so am trying (and, shockingly!) succeeding to be super efficient at work this afternoon.

The blood test this morning was excellent - I had a real wave of "I heart the NHS" as it was a super speedy process, I was actually out of there before my allotted appointment time . So next Wed's one should be just as good. Can't help thinking of the money we're saving by getting these bloods done on the NHS too . Results will be at the GP's within a week. My DH's SA results are also going to the GP's, as we wanted him to have everything to hand so we can get a referral.

Since I'm off tonight, I probably won't be back on til Sunday, but shall try to lurk if I can (have also smuggled 2 FR hpts test into my hand luggage, but shush, don't tell my DH! ).

MOB I'm really hoping that I come back to some good news from you. I'm sending you all the most positive and sticky vibes I can xxx

And hope everyone else has a good weekend.
xxx

MrsHappy · 14/11/2008 10:15

Morning all

Caitni I hope you have a lovely weekend in Ireland. I can't believe you're taking those FR tests with you! You are a POAS addict!! Sounds like the NHS is coming through for you - hurrah for that.

I hope the appointment went well, PnM, and that they were able to give you lots of reassurance.

MOB I am still willing those little dots to stick for you. Any advance on cake-eating as a symptom?

News from here... my temp is still high and my tum feels like something might be up but I am not holding my breath.
Actually tomorrow is the test since on all of my non-pg charts the temp comes down at 11dpo. I am feeling quesy but that might be because I had two pain au raisin for brekka. I couldn't help it... my non-existent future children demanded it! I am really wanting to be pg this time because if not I have to go for the horrid HSG in a coule of weeks. Eeek!

Madoldbird · 14/11/2008 10:29

Morning ladies

I.m so sorry, i've just realised that i haven't been around since Tuesday. The cold i had has turned into sinusitis & tonsilitis, so TBH when i haven't been working i've been sleeping!

PnM Sorry to hear you car failed it's MOT. Hope the appt went really well yesterday. I can totally understand what you were saying about having mixed feelings about it. All i can say is once we did start seeking help it took the pressure of us, and we felt much more positive than we had done in a long time. I so hope your appt helps you to feel the same.

MrsH Thanks for sharing your chart again, it's looking good. How's your right inside ankle today

Caitni Well i'm very excited that you have been EI'd That's the best symptom of all!!Have a lovely time in Ireland and if you do manage a sneaky test - hope you have some way of letting us know

JB What a lovely thought - jollycub with hiccups! Not so comfortable for you though.

Bucky Good to see you, as ever. Here's hoping you will be one of our many BFP's at the weekend Don't worry about it just being the once - it's quality not quantity!!

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today, i've been feeling ill for 2 weeks now. Normally i can shake cold etc off very quickly, but this seems to have taken hold. I'm off sick today, in the hope that a day of rest will sort me out.

DH is getting very excited about testing on Sunday. He can't understand that i'm not excited - i pointed out that i will be if there is something to be excited about! I just worry that it will hit him hard if it's -ve. Anyhow, 2 more sleeps until the day - i've got a selection of tests lined up. I'll let you lot know as soon as i've done it of course.

No exciting symptoms really, apart from sore boobs (likely just the progesterone) and the odd painful twinge in the womb area (again probably progesterone) DH is convinced my boobs are bigger already, but that's probably just wishful thinking

MrsHappy · 14/11/2008 13:55

MOB you sound brilliantly low key about the whole thing. I would be peeing on sticks on an hourly basis by now. I hope the cold isn't getting you down.

I showed my ankle to Mr Needles who thought it looks a bit puffy. But since neither of us knows what we're looking for it is a tad pointless!!

How I wish I could stop symptom spotting for 5 minutes...

HappyandEiknowit · 14/11/2008 22:00

hi ladies
MOB oh my lordy im getting so excited for you i soooooo hope you get the result you (amd we...) want
caitni good luck with testing and have a lovely time visiting your family
bucky lovely to 'see' you sounds like the relaxed approach is suiting you very well
mrshappy ooooooh!! your symptoms are sounding quite positive if i do say so myself lady when are you testing??
PnM sorry about your car failing the MOT ours failed its last one so i just smacked its arse and sat it in the naughty garage and hey presto it passed with flying colours the second time i hope your appointment went well aswell
hi to everyone else
im on CD27 god knows whether or not i have oved but chances are it was about this time last week as i had lots of ewcm and then it stopped abruptly so i think it might have been then but who knows eh!! im due to test early next week if AF doesnt turn up early like last cycle have a great friday n ight girls
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 15/11/2008 08:37

Morning all

Ei you sound on very good form. . Am loving this "who knows when I ovulated" approach, although I have spent to long analysing every twinge and gloop that I don't think I could stop now!

MOB how are you feeling this morning? Are the sinuses and tonsils any better? Have you been puking or anything??? . I seem to recall that DG became pg when she had a cold and a cough after ovulation... maybe all that coughing and sneezing encourages the bean to cling on!!

Caitni I hope you're having a good time in Ireland and are resisting the FR pee sticks.

PnM, Bucky and RFN2, I hope you're all well and enjoying the weekend.

I was feeling v sick yesterday so thought maybe that was a symptom. The thing is my daughter has just puked so I think it may in fact be a sign of the winter vomiting thing...Temps are god only know where since I woke up at all the wrong times. I took it half an hour late and have recorded that. It's still high, but I'm not sure it is pregnant high IYSWIM. And I am starting to feel quite periody and like I need to knicker check the whole time, so I suspect this month is not my turn. I don't know why I am surprised...
