BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!! How wonderful to see you. I hope you realise you have been missed, but it's good to know you have been lurking. It is your trip soon, isn't it? (Or have you been already??) Let us know what exciting things you have been up to!

Caitni A potential longer cycle sounds good. I hope you and DH are celebrating Obama's win! I have to say we were excited to hear about it this morning.

MrsH Sounds like there has been plenty of action. Hope DH is feeling better now? EWCM could be as a result of your cold, particularly if you are taking anything with a decongestant in it? I have a rotten cold at the moment, but the clinic told me i couldn't take anything for it! Therefore everywhere i go i leave a lingering scent of olbas oil - as that's all i can do to try a clear things!

PnM How are things with you (and your sister?) Are you due blood tests, or results? I can't remember where you are with things.

How are all our pregnant ladies? (Mibbes, you must be about to stop work??)

I'm afraid to say that the embryos insisted on an almond slice earlier - i'm going to be enormous even if i'm not pregnant

Madoldbird · 05/11/2008 13:28

Whoops - forgot to say - MrsH have a good trip, i hope it is not too boring or exhausting.

JollyBear · 05/11/2008 15:39

Hello everyone,

I've been away and have just caught up with the news, MOB I'm so excited for you. It must have been so emotional to see the embryos on screen, golly I feel emotional just thinking about it. Glad things are going well. I do hope you had your feet up with a cup of tea while eating the almond slice . I'm so eggcited for you.

PnM Sorry to hear about your sister. What a difficult situation for you. I can't believe the GP hadn't heard of a CP. Honestly! I hope the funeral goes as well as these things can. It is really touching your friend has asked you to do a reading.

Sorry for not saying an individual hello to everyone but I've got to rush off, I'll be a much better cyber friend later this week, promise.

HappyandEiknowit · 05/11/2008 22:46

hi ladies
nice to see so many of us here
bucky lovely to 'see' you i hope you have had a great time whilst you have been away
mob only 12 days to go until you get to testing time i am a fiend for counting down the days and it looks as if i will be testing around tha time too so fingers crossed
JB nice to 'see' you how is jollycub??
hello to everyone else
xx ei xx

Caitni · 07/11/2008 10:42

Morning ladies

JollyBear lovely to see you! Hope everything's well with you and Jollycub.

MOB how are you doing? Hope the cold is improving - I'm a big fan of olbas oil but also hot honey & lemon (I hate the taste of lemsip!). I'm due AF just after your test date so looks like myself and Ei will hopefully be testing around then too Fingers crossed for BFPs all round

Ei hope things are good with you? I think I'm due AF around the same time as you so hoping we both get our BFPs this month

PnM hope things are OK with you xx

MrsH hope the work trip hasn't been too busy/stressful. Glad you got the egg before you left!

And hello to everyone else Bucky GG Mibbes RFN2

So I ovulated yesterday - nice temp rise this morning so feeling more confident about what to expect for cycle length this month. I need to schedule my blood tests with the GP so of course am thinking "wouldn't it be great to make the appointments and then have to cancel them because I get pregnant...". Keeping hopeful anyway .

I also found out my DH was sneaking looks at my CB monitor this month, which explains why he pounced on me on Wed and Thurs (and here's me thinking it was cos I'm irresistible ). I must admit I was a little suspicious (I'm usually the pouncer these days ) so I asked him directly and he admitted it. He said going for the SA next week has really brought home to him how much he wants a BFP too, how sad/annoying it is that it hasn't happened yet and how he thinks he needs to do more to help. I wasn't complaining, as it meant that last night he left the pub early, after staying on the mineral water, and was home nice and early so plenty of time for bd-ing .

Madoldbird · 07/11/2008 21:07

Wonderful to see you JB big virtual hugs to that jollycub - not long to go now!

Caitni & EI glad i will have a couple of testing buddies to keep me company! Fingers crossed that we will have a bumper crop of BFP's on the thread!

Caitni I had a tear in my eye reading about your DH. He clearly wants it all as much as you do, which is lovely.

I have loads of "symptoms" (spotty chin, incredibly sore boobs, cramping) but i know they are all caused by the progesterone i'm taking. Doesn't make the wait any easier though!

Hope everyone is ok and that you all have lovely weekends.

MrsHappy · 07/11/2008 21:59

Hello ladies I'm back from my trip
Caitni it is lovely that your DH is stepping up and taking things seriously.

MOB the symtoms sound fab. I know it might be the progesterone but it also might be because of a bean... or two! Do you have to wait 14 days from your transfer or can you test earlier because they were 2 days along by the time they went in?

Ei I'm glad you are well and that you caught your egg. I am 3dpo so will be testing around the same time too. How brilliant would it be if we all ended up on the sale ante-natal thread?

Lovely to see you JB and I hope the cub is well.

Hello Picknmix, Bucky, RFN2 and JG (if you ever pop in. Bucky does Judith ever look in these days? Tell her to get in touch!)
News from here? Well, I drank far too much on my trip so if I am with child it may well be pickled. After 3 days of travelling, windowless meeting rooms and hotels I am knackered so off to bed!

Caitni · 07/11/2008 22:30

oooh MOB progesterone or not, those sound like pretty excellent symptoms to me! I so hope it's because the little beans are burrowing in tight xxx

And welcome back MrsH - glad you managed to enjoy a tipple or two, as I doubt I could get through a work trip without a bit of alcohol help

Ei, MOB, MrsHappy I can't think of better company for a pee-on-a-stick-athon! A bumper crop of BFPs just in time for Christmas would be just perfect! Now roll on the tww...

Well I just had a lovely Greek meal in the restaurant right next to our flat (it's so windy and rainy that we were glad not to walk too far!) so off to bed myself soon too.

Night all!
Caitni xx

HappyandEiknowit · 07/11/2008 23:45

hi ladies
excellent that we will have a bumper pack of HPTs being brandished i agree we are in good company caitni mob mrshappy i couldnt think of a better bunch of ladies to spend the next anxious 9 months with if we all get our BFPs i had a dream about HPTs last night i had 3 in my hands only 1 was mine and the others were different brands!! one was a cbd one was asda own and one was a first response the cbd was mine i only have the free one i got from mn so i dunno but at least 2 of us will get preg this month and me if any luck but maybe not i have a feeling it will be next month for me relaxing helps the psycho psychic flow i think)
good luck girls
a big hello to everyone and i hope everyone is having a good friday
xx ei xx

readyfornum2 · 08/11/2008 08:10

MOB Your symptoms are sounding good, I really hope those beans (yes both of them lol) are burrowing in nice and snug ready for a 9 month stay x

Caitni What a fab DH you have Hope that his hard work pays off

Mrshappy with the law of pregnativity you are bound to be pg this month after your tipples

EI Wouldnt it be spooky if your dream comes true and there are 3 bfps here this month! (I really hope one of them is yours x)

Hi to PnM Bucky and anyone else I have missed x

Well its cd13 and the ewcm started yesterday so I am hoping to ov anyday now, Havent been doing sperm meets egg properly due to being too tired but we did bd last night and will hopefully manage it the couple of days aswell and catch that egg.
It would be so nice to see some bfps before christmas

My diet is also going well and I am looking forward to monday and seeing what I have lost, I am going away for the weekend on the 21st to see PIL and will be the slimmest they have ever seen me

MrsHappy · 08/11/2008 09:49

Oooooh Ei what an exciting dream! I don't think any of those BFPs could be mine though, because I have sworn off First Response and there is no Asda near here, so if the CBD is yours they must belong to other people! A bumper crop of BFPs would be flipping fantastic, though, so bring them on! Although having said that I don't really need to test because I temp, so maybe my BFP was not represented by the wee sticks!!

Caitni Greek food and early bed sounds lovely to me. I wonder if I could move to Brighton...

RFN2 well done losing all that weight. I don't know how people diet - I have zero willpower and last about a week whenever I try to eat healthily. I have also been eating for at least 6 when I was away.

Have you eaten any more cakes, MOB?

I'm so pleased to be back. I bought DD a present and she thinks her present is "very much" and said "it's very kind of you". She's so sweet.

I can't believe it is nearly christmas again. I remember last year thinking we were sure to get a BFP (at last) after our christmas sexfest, and when it didn't happen I was pretty upset. It's a bit to think that we are almost a year on, but with any luck my proper BFP will happen soon, as will the rest of yours.

PicknMix · 08/11/2008 12:17

Afternoon Ladies,

I'm quite excited by your predictions Ei, the relaxed attitude is obviously suiting you! It would be so lovely if there were 3 bfps this month, although I fear I would be left here somewhat alone

Sounds like your daughter is a little darling MrsH, you must miss her when you're away. Good to have you back! Thank you also for your advice for my sister, I did pass it on to her. She seems ok at the moment and is putting it down as 'one of those things'.

Yay [again!] for such a proactive Dh Caitni!! I feel my Dh needs another 'prod' as since his test results he's rather relaxed about it all, think the pressure is off so to speak.

Fab to see you Bucky, I miss you. Hope your trip away was good? And the doggies are both behaving themselves? Big higs to you next time you look in, xx

Well done on the weightloss R4N2, I'm with MrsH with the lack of will power. I can always find an excuse for eating naughty food!

Glad to hear all is going ok thus far MOB, am living the 2ww with you. Have everything crossed for you.

The funeral went ok on thurs. Well, as ok as funerals can. Managed the reading without bawling, although was a mess afterwards!

Have just found out this morning that my work colleague (who I work with daily on a one to one basis) is pregnant. She was on the pill. She's 12wks gone already without even knowing. How does that happen? The serendipity of it is that I/we have our 1st appt with a fertility consultant on thursday. Thank f**k I'm leaving to work in head office in the new year.

Coupled with this, Dh's friends have just announced their 1st pregnancy. Courtesy of a round-robin email that explained they wouldn't be attending another friends wedding (abroad) as wife would be too pregnant. We are not going to said wedding because we are too poor.

Did I mention that I can't moan to Dh as I read this email without him knowing? I know. I know, its my own fault. But now dh is keeping it a secret from me (to spare my feelings?). Its a tangled web, eh?

God I'm a moaning cow but sometimes things just kick me whilst I'm down.

And breath....

Thank you for allowing me to vent!

mibbes · 08/11/2008 13:21

MOB I just had to post and congratulate you on your top class embryos ! Am so excited for you, when do you test ? And how sweet of your DH making sure you are eating well - my DP sometimes tells me off if he thinks and not eating enough (he reckons 'enough' is at least twice as much as any person could ever need !), thankfully he doesn't bat an eye when am stuffing haribo/chocolate/Ben and jerry's in my cakehole !

Catini good news that you've ov'd and there is no harm in tempting a bit of sod's law - as soon as the appt is made the beany will burrow I'm sure fingers crossed for you.

PnM big hugs to you missus, sounds like you are having a rough time of it - it is so lovely of your DH to try and protect you like that though. Wishing you loads of luck with fertility consultant on Thursday.

Bucky lovely to see you are still around missus - how are things in Bucky-land ?

Oh and Ei is truly pyschic - she predicted my BFP !

Happy I so hope your early egg is a lucky one xx

Yes am on ML now - last day was yesterday = wooohoooo ! Just have to pack my bag and get nesting now ! Get ready to become cyber-aunties again soon ladies

MrsHappy · 08/11/2008 13:23

Vent away Picknmix. I'm not surprised you're having a wee rant, but everything is going to start looking up once you see the fertility people. It's good that the reading went ok - you are a very good friend to have done the reading, especially given how hard it was for you.

And how nice is your DH trying to protect you by keeping that email secret from you? It's really quite sweet of him, although I do think that you should tell him you've read it!

Caitni · 09/11/2008 19:03

Evening ladies

Hope everyone's had a nice weekend. We've been blown out of it in Brighton, but the patches of sun in-between were lovely . And started Christmas shopping, so that I have some pressies for the nieces and nephews when i go back to Cork next weekend [feeling smug and organised emoticon]

MrsH I was chuckling at your DD's beautiful manners! She sounds so lovely . I know what you mean about Christmas looming...for us it marks the one calendar year anniversary ttc but by then I'll be on cycle 16. Still, I'm feeling very positive at the moment re investigations starting (plus I love Christmas!).

PnM god, I'd be so upset at your colleague and your DH's friends . Life just seems so unfair sometimes! Sounds like you've had quite a week so hope you got to unwind a bit this weekend. But seeing the consultant on Thurs means that you can start plotting your next steps. I'll be thinking of you on Thurs xx

MOB hope you're doing well. I hope that time isn't passing tooooo slowly. You're back to work tomorrow aren't you? Hope that helps with time passing.

Ei what an amazing dream!! I'm glad the psychic juices are flowing again
(as Mibbes is living proof ). Here's to a bumper crop of BFPs this month including your very own .

RFN2 glad to hear that diet is going well! I've been terrible since Sept, but there have just been so many good treats at work and there are so many lovely cupcake bakeries in Brighton and I have no willpower! It's great that your PIL will see you so slim, as the positive comments from people really help keep the old will power focused .

Mibbes You must be so happy to be on ML now! Has the nesting started yet? Take lots of time to rest and take care of yourself so that you're fully ready once little miblet makes his/her appearance . I'll be thinking of your over these next weeks and hoping you get the birth you want and a bouncing baby

and hello to bucky GG JollyBear and everyone else (and 07MTW if you ever get the chance to look in! Hope little Freya's thriving ).

So DH has his SA on Tuesday and I'm going to try to book day 21 tests for this week (if my GP can fit me in). We're off to Cork for the weekend on Thursday, so looking forward to a nice short week at work .

MrsHappy · 09/11/2008 21:18

Mibbes I didn't see you there when I posted before. I hope you and the bump are well and that you are enjoying being a lady of leisure.

Caitni you are being very organised there. I'm v impressed with the christmas shopping.

Feeling a little strange here. I am only 5dpo but I have sre breasts, mild cramps and feel sick. I also think I might have that metal mouth thing. Surely it is too early for symptoms? Somebody slap me please! I think I am just desperate for a BFP so I don't have to go for that nasty sounding HSG!!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Have you had any more psychic dreams Ei? Preferably one where a brown-haired slightly tubby lady with one tube gets a BFP?!

Caitni · 09/11/2008 21:42

MrsH I really hope those are early symptoms! Implantation may have taken place early...I'm a fright for imagining symptoms though, so am just going to keep hopeful for you (and hope that Ei's intuition keeps flowing!). Though I personally think the metallic taste is a very hard one to imagine IYKWIM, especially as you've been pregnant before.

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 07:43

I am rather doubting they are symptoms now Caitni - my temp dropped today so I suspect those "symptoms" were just a response to raised progesterone. Ho hum, back to waiting...

Oh dear, I do drive myself mad during the wait!

Hope everyone is ok this dreary Monday.

HappyandEiknowit · 10/11/2008 08:51

hi ladies
mrshappy you know 6dpo is an ideal implantation dip time i have been imagining all sorts of symptoms the past few days and i have called into work sick today aas i just feel so drained and like i want to be sick the funny thing is i think i have only oved the past few days so even if it is my month its far too early for any symptoms who knows eh!!
caitni how are you feeling?? i keep having to check to see if you have had your BFP as for some reason i am convinced you have!! i think thats a sign good luck
MOB i hope your little beans are settling in well only a week until D-day
just thought i would share what my DD has just said to me mummy i want a brother...i said a brother?? and she sed ye can i get in your belly aswell?? i have decided i MUST get her what she wants by hook or by crook except for the her in my belly part as sghe was pretty hard to get out at 8lb12oz never mind 35lb and i dread to think how i would get her in...
anywho... i hope everyone else is doing well and having a good monday morning
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 13:35

I should be so lucky, Ei. Although today I am having a wee bit of cramping...

Lucky you having the day off. I want some lunch but the weather is too vile to go out. How I wish I was at home wearing a duvet, watching TV and eating biscuits.

Your DD sounds very sweet. I reckon children know things so maybe she said that for a reason!

Madoldbird · 10/11/2008 15:30

Afternoon ladies

RFN2 How's "sperm meets egg" going? Have you ov'd yet?

EI Am very excited about your dream too! I may have to go out and buy a FR, as we don't have an ASDA nearby either! Hope you are feeling ok today and that the day off has sorted you out. I think your DD must have yur psychic tendancies too!

MrsH Well, you have some great symptoms there, plus an implantation dip! Here's hoping they lead to a lovely BFP for you.

PnM I'm glad the funeral went as well as a funeral can. Am at your work colleague - how can anyone get pregnant on the pill - plus get to 12 weeks without knowing???? It's not fair, is it. Have you confessed to Dh about reading the email about your friends? It hasn't been a good few days for you, has it? I hope the appt this week helps you to feel a bit more positive about things. Although it is an enormous step, it is a step towards the baby you and your DH want so much.

Mibbes thanks for your congrats about my embryos Hope you are enjoying your ML. Relax, rest & spoil yourself!!

Caitni Good luck to your DH for tomorrow. Tell him to aim well Have you managed to get your blood test booked in? How lovely to have a weekend away to look forward to in a few days!

I'm back at work today, which is a bit of a shock to the system after 2 weeks off! I'm working from home though, so i am peacefully catching up with emails, phone calls etc. I've been feeling a bit gloomy about things over the weekend, although DH has done his best to keep me positive. I think it's beginning to hit me that we'll know whether the ivf has worked or not in a few days, and i'm just trying to prepare myself mentally. I'm technically 10DPO today (counting egg collection as ov) so i'm wondering how soon i can do a sneaky test. The trouble is, the trigger jab is basically a huge dose of hCG, so if i test too soon, i will still have that floating around in my system. It is 12 days since i had the jab. I shall have to do some googling on how long it lasts! It's just i'm itching to test, as i'd rather know one way or the other and deal with it, rather than this awful waiting around!!

Can someone come and slap me and tell me to wait until Sunday??

MrsHappy · 10/11/2008 15:44

MOB frustrating though it is I think you must wait (sorry) (although I am NOT going to slap you). I have seen bits and bobs about the HCG shot on the internet and it looks like it could take up to a couple of weeks for it to clear your system. Can you get your clinic to do a blood HCG test instead of peeing on a stick? That way, when your HCG is in the thousands you'll know it is far more likely to be twins than left overs from the jab. Dunno what this is about waiting until Sunday, though. Am willing to bet that Thursday would be good enough! Alternatively, check with the Assisted Conception lot - they will have an opinion on this!

HappyandEiknowit · 10/11/2008 17:13

MOB im not goin to slap you either (im more of a kick up the arse girl) but either way i wont do that either i think you should wait until thursday like mrshappy says. and check with the assisted conception lot about the hcg and when to test etc but if i were you i would wait at least a few more days to give the hcg chance to rise nice and high
xx ei xx

Caitni · 10/11/2008 21:29

Evening ladies

MOB I'm so sorry to hear you had a bit of a wobble over the weekend . I'm glad your DH has been trying to keep you positive though. I agree with everyone else about the early testing. I've definitely read recent threads on here from women having IUI (having the same HCG trigger shot) and at 10dpo it would mask a true result. Having said that, I don't think I'd personally be able to wait til Sunday! So we're here for you whenever you want to test xxx

Ei your daughter sounds so cute! I love when little girls want baby brothers . And I'd be inclined to agree with MrsH, kids can be really perceptive (I remember MrsH's daughter saying a similar thing when she was pregnant last). And thanks for the positive vibes but I have precisely no symptoms. Even my boobs don't feel sore and they're usually sore from ovulation so am telling myself that this month's not my month! Trying to brace myself so that I'm not too gutted if my usual pre-AF spotting starts while I'm back in Cork for the weekend...

MrsH I [whisper] agree with the others - 6 dpo is ideal implantation dip time . Let's hope one of Ei's tests has your name on it .

Hi to PnM RFN2 Bucky GG Mibbes and everyone. Hope you're all doing well.

Not much going on here. I shall be passing on the wise advice about aiming well to my DH for tomorrow's SA . I don't think he's nervous (he had to have one for other reasons a couple of years ago and it was fine) but I am secretly a little anxious (think I just like stressing out about things ). I've booked in for my progesterone test on Thurs morning. I'm going to book in for my FSH/LH test next week. My GP couldn't do them so there's a nifty NHS clinic in Hove I can go to instead. After DH being told he couldn't have an NHS SA til Feb I was a bit nervous about delays. So glad that things are going smoothly with my appointments .

Anyway, just discovered Dodgeball's on E4 and I loooove that film!
xxx

readyfornum2 · 10/11/2008 21:59

Hi all just a quickie from me

Just want to wish you all good luck for this month, I am now on the 2ww but I am actually hoping that I am NOT pg.

DP and I had a stupid row tonight and he ended up slapping me round the face I told him to leave and he has, I am not sure where things are going to go from here but one things for sure our relationship obviously isnt in the right plaace or indeed strong enough to be even thinking about another child!

Take care everyone and I hope you all get your badly wanted and deserved BFPs soon x
