Well, I'd like to start this thread by saying a BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has managed to get their BFP so far, and an equally huge dollop of luck to all those of us waiting for our BFP's!

KK, so so sorry AF arrived I really thought you were going to get a positive over the weekend.

Hey Gruffalo! Glad you had a good time, I still have my fingers crossed for decent weather for next weekend for our trip! Think I'm possibly being a touch optimistic though!

I'm incredibly tired due to DS having a very bad night, he was running a very high temperature and 'slept' in our bed but was awake loads and very restless.

Then was also woken at three by 'yoofs' hanging out, fighting and shouting in the park behind our house so stumbled downstairs and phoned the police, they'd already had a couple of calls though so were already on the way...it finally quietened down around half three...

Cosmo good luck to you over the next few days

Thankfully DS didn't wake till 8.30 and despite the late / broken night it still felt like a lie in!

We've had a lovely day today and even found enough sunshine (and hot water) to put DS out in his paddling pool this afternoon which was lovely. DH did some weeding on our new lawn and DS 'helped' by following DH around with a bucket collecting his weeds - very very cute!

Gruffalo, I had those bumps on my boobs back in Feb when I had my random long cycle and they seem to be back again now, not itchy but nipples are very sensitive - which is no different to any normal AF for me. I know exactly how you feel about getting your hopes up, and I really hope it turns out well for us both! I also tested yesterday am (BFN) and so am going to try to wait until Weds and if still no AF will test again then.

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 13/07/2008 20:38

Aww bless your DS Cals, hope he is feeling better now.

That is interseting about the bumps you had on a long cycle as I have just come off the mini pill and do wonder whether they could be to do with that. Sorry for your BFN. I have period like pains every now and again so I keep expecting get AF but not as yet.

m0nkeynuts · 13/07/2008 20:50

I'm out! Started spotting, so AF will be here right on schedule tomorrow I'm sure!

Remind me NOT to trust cheapie test faint lines ever again!?!?

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 13/07/2008 21:15

you never know mnuts

calsworld · 13/07/2008 21:20

Oh MN, I was so sure you were going positive, . On the plus side, at least your cycle is being kind by being regular.

I think if AF arrives for me then I'll use OPK as well as the pre-seed this month as not being 100% sure when OV is happening is probably my downfall. I've tried to avoid getting too much into the mapping and tracking as wanted it to be as 'natural' as possible, but by the same taken, I didn't imagine it would take this long either and want to accelerate things if possible .

OP posts:
calsworld · 13/07/2008 21:23

Tink - good point, MN its not over till AF arrives in full flow!

Tink, did you get bleeding gums early? Mine have bled this week, and I was really cold all yesterday evening, went to bed in nightie, with pj bottoms and wearing socks - its july ffs! DS snuggles up to me in bed and he had a temperature last night so he was keeping me warm!

I also think I'm imagining myself pg with heartburn and fussiness over food

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 13/07/2008 22:04

Hi pc tink

Thanks for info - that is interesting indeed. I have had mine for over a week now though and still no BFP so am not so sure I am going to be lucky this month. But you never know!

Cals - SNAP, I have ordered in the preseed too, it came yesterday. I will get my April baby![determined] (obviously if I haven't already got my March baby

I think I'm going insane!

GruffaloSoldier · 13/07/2008 22:07

Sorry to hear that MN about AF but like others said, it's not over yet! Hang in there.
Right I'm off to bed as soooo tired after our camping trip but will be here tomorrow (not too much though as the impending doom that is my dissertation first draft deadline is Thursday - eek!)

Byeeee

babytime · 13/07/2008 22:10

I dont think I will ever trust any pregnancy symptoms again. Actually - I really think I was pregnant this month because I can not possible believe that I could feel all I did and not be...

And to make matters worse the symptoms continue
sore sensitive and tingly boobs (dont get sore boobs normally with periods)

Queasy feelings throughout the day

etc...

I do think I had a chemical pregnancy, I had one in April too. If this happens again next month do you think I should go to my gp or will he think I am mad. Are chemical pregnancies a sign that something is wrong?

babytime · 13/07/2008 22:35

Calsworld - hope your ds has a better night tonight. I was witnessing my poor 2 yr old dd trying to give birth to a poo tonight, she was in an active birth position with me urging "Now Ppppppppppppppppppush" - I can just see myself in years to come by her side
I felt so sorry for her and got some great advice on here to help her.

By the way whats pre-seed?

Monkeynuts - dont give up hope just yet.

I never accept i'm not pregnant until the end of my period and stop feeling symptoms because with my first dd i did not find out I was pregnant until I was 8 weeks.

I had a period which was lighter than normal and only became suspicious after my next period did not arrive and tested five days after that due date.

I had no symptoms even though I was 8 weeks except for a but of dizziness. With dd2 I felt everything at 4 weeks. I wonder if this was because when you are ttc you become so intune with your body you notice even your digestion

m0nkeynuts · 14/07/2008 08:04

Morning everyone!

AF arrived properly this morning - as expected! Cal - you're right that I'm lucky to have regular, predictable cycles!! My O date jumps about, but my LP is always spot-on.

babytime - I'm the same actually - I always do a re-test once AF has finished. I started a cycle in January and was testing faint positives on cheapies (again!) near the end of it. AF arrived on time so I thought "those darn tests!" and left it at that. After AF had finished, I decided to re-test to see if I still got the same light lines (to confirm it was the crappy tests and not a chemical) ... and I got much darker lines. Digi said 'Pregnant' (as did other tests done to confirm!) but I miscarried a week later. Now I always re-test just to be sure!!

calsworld · 14/07/2008 08:49

Morning all, I am worse than weak, I'm feeble and pathetic and maybe a bit desperate too...

Did another test this morning and still getting a BFN. Am now resigned to not being pregnant and AF must be delayed, and still determined to book an appt with the doctor, but just not till AF turns up, whenever she can get her lazy arse into gear.

I am soooooooooooooooooo tired this morning its unreal, DS had another rubbish night unfortunately, he will only sleep in our bed when he's poorly which I normally don't mind but he insisted in sleeping across the bed rather than in a normal position, DH was headbutted all night and I was kicked.

I really don't want to be at work and I REALLY don't want to have to go into a negotiation in an hours time , better get on with the rest of my preparations.

NJ, you about today with some positive vibes, moral support and general good humour?

OP posts:
calsworld · 14/07/2008 08:50

Babytime, pre-seed is a sperm friendly lubricant for use when TTC if you don't have so much CM as you used to .

OP posts:
kookykid · 14/07/2008 08:54

Morning everyone,

Sorry for AF m0nkey, if you want we can be 1-day-apart cycle buddies!

Cal - I have everything crossed for you still. Really hope you're pg! My BF has just been to stay and she's in her 1st trimester and was FREEZING the entire weekend!

I am feeling a bit more philosophical today. Am even glad that AF arrived late as it was 13 days after OV so this means I have a good long LP which makes me hopeful that at least everything is "in order". DD and I are off to London for a few days to stay with my mum and I am seeing lots of friends, which'll take my mind off ttc for a bit anyway.

Have a good few days everyone and hopefully I'll hear about lots of BFPs when I get back!

calsworld · 14/07/2008 08:57

Thanks KK, I hope you have a nice break with your mum and DD. Wish I was doing the same sort of thing instead of pretending to work working hard

calsworld · 14/07/2008 09:29

Do you know what, I've just realised I'm being incredibly thick.

This month I had EWCM on CD24 which would mean that AF isn't even due yet, and that I tested and got BFN's on 9DPO, 9DPO and 11DPO.

I'm not really sure how long my LP is but from the couple of months where I've written down when I had EWCM, AF has arrived 13 days...so...if I am right about OV on CD24 then I'm not due AF until this Thursday - which in turn means that there is still the tiniest change that the BFN I got this morning could have been false.

Anyone still following?

Have I mentioned before that it would be helpful if I could see inside myself to see what's going on?!

Also, I had quite bad cramps from 5-8 DPO which could possibly be implantation?

Uh oh, can feel my hopes beginning to rise again...

Hi everyone, broadband has been playing up badly. Thought i'd pop in and let you all know i'm still alive. I have done 2 more tests which showed negative... not so gutted, but AF isn't here and normally i'd have had spotting already this morning...

Right DH is off work today so we're taking the kids to a softplay/jungle jims sort of place. Will be around tomorrow and looks like i have a fair few pages to catch up on!!

tata for now xxx

calsworld · 14/07/2008 09:33

Oooh Tink, thanks for that - I'm sure loads will find that helpful too!

So,

3dpo - Moody
4dpo - runs
5dpo - Watery CM, BD (just in case )
6dpo - Cramps, nausea
7dpo - Cramps
8dpo - Cramps, tired (REALLY tired)
9dpo - Tired, cold
10dpo - Tired, headache, cold
11dpo - Tired, headache, cold (am wearing a cardigan today which is V unlike me)

I also had bleeding gums at some point between 5 and 8 dpo.

Hi Glask-- sorry about your BFNs but still worth beign positive when there is no AF.

Enjoy the day out.

Byee

calsworld · 14/07/2008 09:57

Sorry Glask, x posted. Sorry for BFN's, but fingers crossed that it could still be too early to test?

Sounds like you have a nice day lined up to take your mind off it though .

I can't deal with the MN page layout where you have the thread split into different pages, I found it really hard to remember what had been said, so much easier for me to just scroll up and down. What I don't get is that normally, the bar that displays the posters name and date and time of post is normaly a purply blue on my screen, but every now and then when I log in, the fonts different and the colours have changed to brown - then next time I log in, its all back to normal again. What's that all about? Techy stuff I guess.

Can anyone tell I'm still really bored and unmotivated at work?

We moved offices whilst I was off on maternity leave last time, and the new offices don't have a sick room. In the old ones, there was a little office at the back with a bed in it, which I regularly used to take residence in at lunch time so that I could get some much needed rest - and not just when pg either! I soooo wish we had one here as could look forward to some catch up sleep during my lunch hour!

Maybe I should just go and get in my car at lunch and have a snooze there? I have to do something to try and catch up...this full time working mum bit is really hard work, can't believe we're going to go through it all again - although I do firmly believe that the change from 1 to 2 can't be as big as the change from none to 1

Is there any H&S workplace law to make them install a bed, underneath my desk is looking particularly attractive today,

OP posts:
Playingthe9monthwait · 14/07/2008 10:24

Morning all. Sorry about the BFNs/AF arriving for people.

Cal- I think you are still in for a chance.

oo and re the nipple thing I def got that before my BFP. My nipples looked a bit different and the bumps on the areola (sp?) which I think are called montgomery glands def became more prominant (still are) and the nipples started to be very sensitive and sore. Sore boobs is a normal AF symptom for me but sore nipples is not, in fact it was one of those things that made me think I was pg even before I tested.

Starshinetiger · 14/07/2008 10:43

Morning All - Sorry for AF arrival MN. Cals - glad to hear you still have a chance of BFP - it is all sounding really positive for you, so fingers crossed.
Glask - sorry too for BFNs but it's not over yet - think we're cycle buddies and I would have been due on today (have been feeling really bloated and AF-y, so was waiting for it to arrive and the BFPs to have been false, but nothing yet, so fingers crossed...) you might just not have enough HCG yet?!
I'm still not convinced am pg, due to AF symptoms, but am really tired today and feeling slightly sicky between meals (although I know I didn't get MS until about 7 weeks last time) - these are syptoms no? I have one more test left, so am going to wait and use it later this week as long as no AF arrived - I just need the reassurance. Does anyone else feel a fraud having early tested? I know I should just be grateful for BFP, but I am still nervous!
You absolutely should have a bed in your office Cals - that sounds like a great idea, but I can't think of any H&S rules, which would force them to provide one - sorry! Hope you get through the day okay.

GYo · 14/07/2008 10:55

Hi All

Quick one for Gruffalo.... I just rang up my doctors and got asked if I wanted FP or Royal Surrey hospital. I went for Royal Surrey but no idea really....

Am now waiting for MW to call me, but probably not for another couple of weeks I think.

All still a bit of a shock here!

babytime · 14/07/2008 11:03

Morning everyone

How exciting GYo - its all happening!!!

Can I rec Neals Yard Mothers Massage oil, used it religiously morning and night through both pregnancies and did not get stretchmarks. Four of my friends did the same with the same result. - Love the smell too.

I really need to be working but thought it wouldnt hurt to come on quickly.

Right - My period has not stopped??? It kind of stopped yesterday lunch time but then started a bit later last night. Today nothing. So basically less than three days when I am normally 7 days with five days heavy.

Dont want to get too excited because it could have been a chemical pregnancy and therefore over but if I am pregnant then??? I think I will see who I bleed today and if there is nothing tomorrow test again in the morning.

Like I said this happened with 1st Pregnancy so maybe I'm wishing on stars. Looks like this rollercoaster ride is not finished yet. Wish my period was just like a normal one so I could move on.

Can you just get a really light period for no reason?
