Well, I'd like to start this thread by saying a BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has managed to get their BFP so far, and an equally huge dollop of luck to all those of us waiting for our BFP's!

Big hugs calsworld.

We've done it before so we can do it again.. in time

Was out today mooching about with kids and we have just got back so we saw alot of people on their way out all dressed up and starting their night.

I saw girls wearing some really cool clothes and lovely shoes and suddenly thought, "yeah, I want to get all dressed up, buy some new sexy shoes and go out with Dh and get really pissed and dance!!!!!!!!!!" - Its made me realise that its not so bad and I should enjoy here and now and babies will come soon.

There is no point living my life the way I have lately, putting things on hold wondering if everything I will do would affect my chances - its silly.

babytime · 12/07/2008 22:52

Hello MOnkeynuts

added myself too

Kookykid - CD32, testing 9th July (AF due 10th) but prob a bit early.
Gruffalo- testing 10th July, 14dpo
Glaskham- testing 11th July, 12dpo (AF due 13th)
Calsworld - CD32, testing 14th July, (AF due ??!)
Heebeejeebee - CD11
Cosmogirl - CD 18, testing 20th July, AF due 24th July
M0nkeynuts - CD 27 (11dpo), AF due 14th July
Babytime - CD 2 (does that mean day two of my period?)

m0nkeynuts · 13/07/2008 08:04

Morning! How's everyone doing today??

I tested again this AM and had VERY faint pink lines on two tests with 2-3 mins (cheap ebay strips & the cassette types) - too faint be comfortable calling definite BFP, but possible to see without squinting! Decided to waste a digi but it was "not pregnant" .... so either it's still too early, or these cheapie tests are just showing me what I want to see and I really am 100% NOT pregnant!!

Time will tell, I guess - the witch is due to arrive tomorrow!

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 13/07/2008 08:49

morning

sounds hopeful mn good luck
i am 13 and a half wks today
i feel and look like a whale already

calsworld · 13/07/2008 09:11

Oh Tink - I bet you don't look anything like a whale - you're tiny aren't you?! Anyway, you know it all evens up by the time you get to the end.

MN, sounds optimistic! Still no AF here and resisted testing this morning as don't want to waste any more - have decided to try to wait a while longer and see what this week brings.

I'm out.

AF arrived this morning.

FR pretty much confirmed it yesterday afternoon, but still feel gutted. Haven't read thread but will catch up with everyone's news later.

Starshinetiger · 13/07/2008 09:21

Kooky, sorry to hear that. I guess the only good think is that it has actually arrived and the stress of TTC hasn't sent it awol, but I know that it's now ruled out any lingering hope. Keeping everything crossed for the coming month for you. (secret hugs winging their way).

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 13/07/2008 09:44

thanks cal lol i look like a graceful shamu.
good restraint cal
sorry kooky

babytime · 13/07/2008 10:12

m0nkeynuts - there is still time...

surely you cant get two faint lines in a row? They both cant be evaporation lines, are they still there now when you look or faded?

Looks good to me

Everyone says those digital tests are not as sensitive as poas ones.

Kooky - I'm sorry, know how you feel. I was on such a rollercoaster the other day, tested day after af was due and got a faint line and cried with joy. Then period started that day and cried with anger (both times alone and dh didnt know - I was embasassed because I was so angry at myself for being such a fool) I really had all the symptoms in the book and was convinced I was.

AAAAAAnyway, forward is the way to go. This month may be the one.

Its funny because only today have I truly accepted I am on my period, the two other days I was still hanging on that the bleeding would be an implantation bleed because its so much lighter, darker and I still have symptoms of pregnancy like tingly nipples, queasy etc... I need to get a grip

Sometimes periods are late, heavier, lighter, painful etc but they are still a PERIOD!!!

Argh - i hate them!

Hello to everyone else.

I swear the next time I write on this thread I will not complain about my PERIOD and just talk positive things x

m0nkeynuts · 13/07/2008 10:13

sorry kooky

cal - I'm thoroughly impressed by your self control!!!

tink - I bet you have a beautiful bump

m0nkeynuts · 13/07/2008 10:25

babytime - they're still there when I look now (the cassette type one is even clearer after drying) and they're definitely thick - same width as the control line - which isn't usually the case with evaps I've had in the past... plus, the fact they appeared within 2-3 minutes .... so I'm a teensy bit hopeful!

I've just ordered Predictor and FR tests online, so they should arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. Either I'll be well onto AF by that point (in which case I'd have them handy for NEXT time I'm testing!) or, if no AF, I should be able to see good lines on them!!

I'm so, so sorry for your disappoiment - I've been there too! Last cycle I had a light pink line on a FR but AF arrived bang on schedule - it's rubbish! Especially since FR tests have such a reputation for being accurate and NOT having false positives / evap lines!!

Ses15 · 13/07/2008 10:26

Morning all

Babytime - don't worry about letting off steam and having a good old rant on here of you need! You have been through a real rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts in the last few days.

Kooky - sorry TEW got you

Cal - as the others have said - v impressed at your restraint! You're right though, it sometimes is best just to put testing on hold for a couple of days as otherwise it can prove v expensive!

M0nkeynuts - welcome! Not sure when your AF is due but the digital tests aren't as sensitive so not much point in using until AF due date is gone. I just like them because there is a definite answer but I@m sure they're not worth the extra expense for a less sensitive test!

Hi everyone else - hope you're all ok.

It's nice and sunny here this morning so I'm going to try and have a positive day doing exciting things like washing, ironing, cleaning floors and tidying! What fun!???!

GYo · 13/07/2008 10:52

Good Morning All-

Sorry to hear about your AF arrived KK

Cals good luck and well done for not testing yet....

Babytime- rant here anytime you like. this thread has been such a support to me in the last few days... How are you feeling today?

Welcome MNuts fingers crossed that those lines get stronger and stronger when you test with the new tests

Hope everyone else is ok... seems to be a lot of people away this w/e....

My DH has now gone on holiday with his bestmate. Im so glad he is getting a chance to go diving (we usually dive together but clearly wont for a while now!) but he was really funny about going - kept telling me to "be safe" bless him, he really is pleased about the bfp.

Im looking forward to week of peace and quiet

Cosmogirl · 13/07/2008 12:40

Gruffalo- testing 10th July, 14dpo
Glaskham- testing 11th July, 12dpo (AF due 13th)
Calsworld - CD32, testing 14th July, (AF due ??!)
Heebeejeebee - CD11
Cosmogirl - CD 20, testing 20th July, AF due 24th July
M0nkeynuts - CD 27 (11dpo), AF due 14th July
Babytime - CD 2 (does that mean day two of my period?)

Morning all, just updating my details on the list. CD20 today. Haven't updated others because I'll prob get them wrong.
KK - sorry to hear about AF arriving . I'm not really feeling an symptoms at all so don't really think this will be our month either.

I bought some FR tests yesterday on the BOGOF - well cheap, so if I have to waste one or two then won't feel too bad.

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 13/07/2008 15:13

Cosmogirl · 13/07/2008 15:36

I think I have another symptom - not sure if it's real or imaginary though - itchy nipples.

Hi Tink Sunny here too. Makes a change.

GYo · 13/07/2008 16:18

Cosmo anything odd, boob related could be a symptom! Fingers crossed for you

Great bump pic tink - looks very neat and tidy.

GruffaloSoldier · 13/07/2008 18:15

Hello everyone, I am back from camping. Was really lovely! Hope everyone else has had a lovely weekend.

Sorry to hear about AF, KK!

Cosmo I too have had itchy boobs. I have these bumps that have come up on the area surrounding the nipple and if they get too hot they get itchy! AF still has not arrived and is getting my hopes up which I fear is a disaster waiting to happen.

I am going to try and hold out for a few more days before I test any more. I can't stand seeing any more BFN at the moment. The last time I tested was Sat morning.

GYo · 13/07/2008 19:38

Hi GS- glad you enjoyed camping- lucky with weather I hope.

Been v quiet here this w/e.... think everyone is away....

Cosmogirl · 13/07/2008 19:47

Hi GYo, GS,

It has been really quiet this weekend. Think trying to hold out from testing is prob a good idea GS. I think I will do one a few days before AF due, but then try not to do any more and instead just wait it out and see if she shows. Interesting that you have had the itchiness too. I took my bra off earlier and it hasn't been itchy since.

GYo - hope you are OK. I think you said one of your symptoms was having hot boobs and lower stomach. I think I have a similar thing. When I touch the skin it feels like it is on fire. How many dpo did you notice it?

GYo · 13/07/2008 19:56

Hi Cosmo

The weird hot ness started about 7DPO and continued over last w/e so over 8/9/10 DPO then died down. Boobs were hot, lower belly was hot and I used to wake up sweating under the duvet at 6am. Even DH commented on heat!

It died down though at the beginning of last week though. Im sure there are huge blood flow surges to those regions during fertlisation and implatation which is why... but dont try searching "hot body" in google......

GruffaloSoldier · 13/07/2008 19:58

Yes we were actually very lucky with the weather actually, we escaped the rain which was very fortunate.

Cosmo, those symptoms sound good. I am already saying to DH "I want to test tomorrow!" which is quite bad, but DH doesn't bat an eyelid

GYo, sounds like you are in for a nice quiet week then with DH away! How are you feeling, any other symptoms yet?

Have you told anyone else apart from DH?

GYo · 13/07/2008 20:09

Hi Gruffalo

Did you do proper camping in tents that you put up yourself? I've always fancied it but teenage experiences put me off a bit

Are you feeling strong? can you wait to test tomorrow? Its funny how DH/DPs can be non plussed about it all.... til the result comes in [wink}

I certainly am in for a quiet week. I generally enjoy my own company so dont mind being home alone. But its weird today.. house is quiet.

I am ok symptoms wise. Larger boobs which are sore when i touch them. Tired and slight nausea when i dont eat enough. Oh, and starving all the time! I am on 6 small meals a day! But its not too bad. Determined to not have bad MS. Remind me of that when Im complaining in next few weeks!

GruffaloSoldier · 13/07/2008 20:23

Yeah we have a 4 man tent which is quite big and I can stand up on it. Its easily big enough for a small family Its not too bad to put up either. We have been camping 3 times this year already and have at least 2 or 3 more trips planned this summer, including one this Friday til Monday in Wales.

I absolutely love it as you can probably tell

RE DH it is funny because he is so money concious that I was prepared for a lecture on money wasting, but know, maybe he is as curious as I am as to what ever is going on in there

Not sure if I am feeling too strong at all! I wish I hadn't wasted all those cheapies last week!

Sounds like you are managing your symptoms fine at the moment. Hope it stays ok for you!!
