NJ - thanks for the reassurance, maybe I should just believe it, but you know I won't until next week.
Ses - Mum is here now - she's been staying since Tues eve, i.e. a few hours after I did the first test, but just felt it was sillilly too early to tell her (She's always - in my day, you had to wait until you were 3 months to get it confirmed....).
Keep toying with the idea of telling her this morning, but not sure - we'll see.

I did a test this morning and was another bfn, i'm 11dpo today so i think its most likely to be correct.... have no more tests and not gonna buy anymore either unless i'm late with AF!!

Morning all! GYo Congratulations ! That's fab news.

Babytime, I agree with the others, test again tomorrow morning, I think I read that hcg levels double every couple of days which is why a GP recommends testing a couple of times a week until you get a BFP or AF.

I tested this morning too but it was a BFN, AF is due today by average cycle length...I've only had one cycle last longer than 31 days and that went to 41 in Feb, so not getting my hopes up at all yet. But by the same token, I'm not too disappointed as a) I don't think I'm pg anyway and b) AF isn't actually here yet!

Glaskham, looks like you me and KK will just have to hang on a bit longer!

Congrats again GYo - how many cycles was that for you before getting your BFP?

oh shit- i've just gone back to the test i did this morning.... and there is a very faint line there, I only left it about 30secs before i just saw one line and then binned it.... but i honestly feel so pregnant i went back just now to check..... and yes i know you should never read a result after the stated time... but i can see a faint BFP.... Think i may have to buy some more tests now after that!!!

As for the faint lines - as NJ says, if it comes up in the time, and can be seen without really squinting, then take it as a positive.

digital tests are not more sensitive...just easier to read! That does not mean that the result is 'true'. Greatest marketing ploy ever, as it promises you a clear result There is anecdotal evidence of clearblue non-digital picking up very low levels of HcG but FR tends to be more consistently sensitive.

Chemical pregnancy is just a very early miscarriage (i.e. before they would be able to identify anything on ultrasound) and I am sorry you have experienced that before, babytime. I have everything crossed that you get a nice dark line soon!

I did my test at about 5.30 then went back to bed and dreamt that I went back and checked as was convinced it should be BFP and it was! Of course, I had to check when I woke up but still a totally blank window .

Am thinking of buying something other than cheapies....FR on special offer aren't they, Boots is kind of on the way home

I am amazingly lucky. This was the first month, first go. We only had two GOFs at the what I though was the right time (clearly was!)

Hoping nerves is making porridge hard to eat not the sickness already

I don't mean to fan the flames, as it were, but any negative you get before period is due or actually arrives cannot be taken as 'true'...

I know, I know...that way madness lies, and all that.

But until you have anough HcG (NJ was 9 days after period due, remember!!!) or have your period, you could be pregnant and still be getting negative tests!!

And for what it is worth, I did all the 'it's negative and that will be right' at 8dpo 12dpo just to prepare myself for the disappointment, but it ain't over until the fat lady sings...
