Well, I'd like to start this thread by saying a BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has managed to get their BFP so far, and an equally huge dollop of luck to all those of us waiting for our BFP's!

9 weeks or thereabouts, energy of a drugged sloth and sickness I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

Still haven't been to GP's, I'm not coping terribly well with the thought I'm pg tbh

Seriously hope that will change when I start to feel human again.

Just wanted to check in really. Sorry for the 'me' post but I haven't had a chance to catch up.

Ok... I am holding on and trying not to whoop with joy because i woke at 5am and resisted testing to just now.

Wee'd in a pot, held FR 6days in it for 5.5 secs (just to make sure) and the neg line came up immediately. Felt sad so held it close to window and squinted and at 1.5m I start noticed more dye appear but oh my god its so faint and its been 20 minutes and you can see it if you look hard.

So it can be an evaporation line because I was so careful nt to flood it and I know it could be an early mc or as I leanrt yesterday a chemical pregnancy.

If it only picked up a bit because the hcg levels are not yet strong enough then surely another test now will be neg. i will have to test again tomorrow.

Also I was due yesterday so surely the levels should be strong enough to read more clearly.

Arrrghhhhhhhh why couldnt it just be line or no line - help me!

Just showed dh and he thinks I have now gone completely bonkers!!!

He said the line is fainter than faint and although there is kind if one there he does not think I'm pregnant.

I can bloody see it - kind of...

Oh maybe it is a chemical pregnancy then. This is just what happened last time.

Morning Babytime! How exciting and frustrating all at once! I think you're right about testing again tomorrow morning but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for it to become a nice strong positive!
When is your AF due?

Oh Babytime - don't think I have any advice as I don't know what I'm dong. You said "the neg line came up immediately" - all the tests I've used have a control line and then the test line comes up if you're pg adn doesn't if you're not. What does FR do? When is AF due?
I'm having similar dilemma this morning - tested again, so I can tell my Mum if it's a good test. Has come up faint line still. There's definitely a line (within 5 mins), but don't know what to do, as AF not due until tomorrow at earliest. With DS because I tested a week after AF due I had both a strong line and no AF.. what do you all think.
Babytime - depending on when you are due, might suggest when you could test again? Not very helpful I know.

my period was due yesterday and I have a brownish discharge in the morning and later that day and then nothing.

I am beginning to feel doubtful.

I guess i have to just wait and see if my period arrives today or tomorrow and if not test again in the morning.

I have heard someone on here say they did not get a pos until 5 days past their period due date so I am holding onto that.

Babytime (Welcome BTW ) can you see the line when you hold it at the same distance you'd hold a book if you were reading?

If you can see it from there, I think you can take it as a BFP, (fingers crossed) if not, hold your wee for 4 hours and do another one, and see what happens.

hCG builds up very quickly, so you may just see a difference.

(This bit applies to Star as well) different HPT's, even those that have come from the same multipack, have different levels of sensitivity. They all have to be at least as sensitve as it says on the packet, but some studies have shown FR's (for e.g.) to pick up hCG at a level of just 6 rather than the 25(???) it advertises!!! So it could be (in Star's case) that whatever test you used the other day was slightly more sensitive than the one you used today. This is why the strength of the line doesn't really matter as long as you can see it. I still have my 100000000000 tests lined up in time order () and the test lines vary massivly, some of them are as though someone has drawn the line with a felt tip, others you can barely see!

BT, I was 9 days late before I got BFP with DS2! Have heard of other being 4,5,6 weeks late!

I'm pretty sure that FR works in the same way.

I guess your faint line could definitely be because you're testing before AF. Did you say your Mum's coming to stay? When does she arrive? Another (and expensive) option could be to get a digital test and use that. I did that when I got my BFPs as it really gives you no middle ground. (I guess there could still be a middle ground but it has to fall one side of the fence! For me that gave me the confidence in my result!)
