Well, I'd like to start this thread by saying a BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has managed to get their BFP so far, and an equally huge dollop of luck to all those of us waiting for our BFP's!

"you're"

glaskham · 10/07/2008 20:41

dont be correcting yourself!!! I'd have never noticed!! And i have tons of grammar and punctuation problems when 'attempting' to speed-type!!

GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 20:51

Waited for 4 hours - tested with FR - BFN!

Maybe I'll just stop now and admit defeat! However, still no sign of AF.

Feel so stupid for wasting money

calsworld · 10/07/2008 20:56

Girls! I need to call order and calm to the board! Step away from the sticks

Pop - I'm utterly convinced that your two little ones will be absolutely fine tucked away safely inside, sorry for your worry and bump on the head. Glad your getting a scan tomorrow for reassurance - will you put pictures up for us??

LB, sorry you've had such a pants day, glad you're DP is getting his act together and I hope this weekend helps put some of the recent difficulties behind you both . Hope your MS lets you enjoy your weekend properly too

GYo - enjoy your yoga, should be welcome relaxation for you.

Babytime, have a nice evening and relax, nothing you can do if it is your AF.

calsworld · 10/07/2008 21:02

Gruffalo, give it few more days and then see how you feel. I'm sorry its a BFN, for you and for Glaskham and babytime and ......

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 21:12

yeah hopefully so! Im going to try and forget about it now for a few days. very hard though.

calsworld · 10/07/2008 21:21

Gruffalo, I don't mean to forget about it, that's impossible, just perhaps try to resist the urge to test . I did find that was really stressing me out and resisting them has helped to calm them down.

Are you at work tomorrow? What plans this weekend? We're going camping with DS for the first time next weekend so are going to be digging out the camping kit from the attic and airing / dusting / etc. I'm really excited about it!

Except DH says we can't go if its going to pee down all weekend . Fingers crossed for nice weather, not to hot but dry would be ideal

OP posts:
calsworld · 10/07/2008 21:22

"calm me down" even!

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 21:40

Yeah I know, I just mean to focus on something else for a few days - or try anyway!

We are camping in Dorset this weekend and wales next weekend! How cool

Where are you going?

I'm not working tomorrow. I only work tues/wed. Im supposed to be home working hard on my dissertation. Its so hard to motivate myself though!

Yes fingers crossed for nice weather!

babytime · 10/07/2008 21:42

GruffaloSoldier...

You're not alone, we can feel sorry for ourselves on here and moan away

But, you never know so keep positive.

Love and hugs to everyone.

Nightie night!

GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 21:44

Night babytime! Will try and keep positive/look on the bright side!

calsworld · 10/07/2008 21:46

Oh goodness....was hoping you weren't going to ask actually...

Welshpool...there's a country and western festival on that we go to.

No, we're not into C&W, our friend's parents are and they're also into caravanning. They and all their friends go each year. Our friend's birthday is on the same weekend so all my Uni mates all get together and hang out with the 'oldies' in the caravans whilst we slum it in our tents. In the past, its just been an excuse for drinking too much and staying up too late but its going to be a very different story with DS in tow!

There's a lovely leisure centre on the outskirts of the town with a good swimming pool so we'll spend a good few hours there no doubt.

Its an amazing thing, don't know if anyone here is into C&W but I've never seen anything like it. Everyone is dressed up in full cowboy / cowgirl gear, there's an opening ceremony where they have this song that they all march down the hill to, singing and firing their guns - quite a sight! (And a little scarey!!) I find the line dancing fascinating to watch too.

Night babytime, sleep well and catch up again tomorrow .

GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 21:53

I don't have a clue where welshpool is but it sounds like lots of fun!I bet your DS will love it!

That is one thing I can't wait for - for me and DH to be camping in the future with our LO. Lets hope it is not too far off

c&w not so bad. I love Dolly Parton! DH likes some modern c&w.

We are going to Dorset with FIL, MIL, BIL1 and girlfriend and BIL2. I bought all the boys zorbing experience for Christmas so that is why we are going for them to zorb!

Next week going away with loads of friends for surfing. (I won't be surfing though!)

Ses15 · 10/07/2008 21:55

Hi all! I've only just managed to catch up on here from all today's chat! Good to see things nice and busy in here though.

Babytime - welcome! I know it's been said but if it is AF at least you know and you only have to wait 10 daysish to start ttc again!

LB - Hope your scan goes well tomorrow - v exciting! Have a great wkend too - you deserve it.

Have they day off from work tomorrow as I'm working Saturday so I may actually be a bit more involved in the day time chat instead of just having to catch up on it!

GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 22:00

Hi Ses,

Hows things with you? You figure out if it was AF yet?

calsworld · 10/07/2008 22:02

Hi Ses good to see you, how are you today?

Gruffalo - I hope it won't be long for any of us! DS is at a nice age for camping now I think, he loves being outside - just not sure how on earth I'm going to get him to sleep at night. I think we'll probably just tuck him up in his pushchair and let him go when he's ready rather than try to do any kind of routine.

I don't mind C&W at all, I'm quite easy going in my music tastes. Surfing sounds fun - why won't you be having a go? I've only done it once, when I was a lot younger.....arrrrggghhh, must have been about 10 years ago (when did I get old?!). We 'surfed' in Woolacombe in November - t'was bloody freezing!!

OP posts:
Ses15 · 10/07/2008 22:06

Really not sure. It felt like it in terms of the cramps. It may well have been but seeing as between pregnancy/ies(??!!) and mc/mcs(??!!), I haven't had a period since January, it may just have been an initial attempt at AF. I kind of think the best thing may be to wait until after next AF before ttc but am also v impatient! Then again the thought of going through all that again is v scary! Also my sex drive is starting to come back and I really don't like condoms! Maybe I should be called MixedupSes for a while!

Sorry for your BFN but as we say it's not over til TEW gets you!

Ses15 · 10/07/2008 22:09

Hi Cal! C&W sounds fine to me. One of my great loves in life is music and I'm quite open to all kinds. My MP3 player currently has just under 1700 tracks on it varying from 60s stuff to musicals to R&B to Girlbands to swing to.... (you get the picture???!)

GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 22:10

I'm not a confident swimmer! I hate being out of my depth. I would rather just watch. Plus I hate getting cold! So a big wuss really

I am sure you will figure out a way to get DS to sleep. Pushchair sounds like a plan!

calsworld · 10/07/2008 22:16

Ah, fair enough Gruffalo. Nice to be on the sidelines with a can of cider flask of tea and a camera!

Ses - its great fun and a lovely good reason for us all to get together - we're spread all over the country since finishing Uni and its getting harder to get together. We always said it wouldn't happen (drifting that is) but we've been through a massive glut of weddings, the babies are arriving en masse and well, life just gets in the way . It will be the first time I've seen some of them in over a year and can't wait .

So, for this reason I really don't mind not getting a BFP this month as it means I'll be able to carry on drinking have a couple of social beers with my mates next weekend as well as shagging DH senseless for another month.

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 22:17

I have only been trying for a few weeks and am sooo impatient! So, it must be so hard for you to wait. I think what you are saying sounds like the best plan though. You want to be in the best position you can. Still, when you want to ttc then its very hard not to do anything else! Good old mother nature eh?

calsworld · 10/07/2008 22:17

Oh, but that makes it sound like I wouldn't rather have a BFP, which of course I would!

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 22:21

Right I am off to my lovely hot bubble bath that awaits me. I am going to lay back, relax and try and think of something else for half hour or so! I will be on tomorrow! Goodnight!

calsworld · 10/07/2008 22:29

OOooooh wish I'd thought of that!

See you tomorrow, I hadn't realised how late it was!
