Well, I'd like to start this thread by saying a BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has managed to get their BFP so far, and an equally huge dollop of luck to all those of us waiting for our BFP's!

and yes GYo... last cycle AF was 4 days late becaus ei was stressed looking for signs etc!! And the only times i've been late in the past was when pg with the other 2 dc's!!

GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 16:25

Yes glask go for it. Unfortunately mine is 3 min walk so couldn't hold back - now going to want to test again!

calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:27

GYo what do you do? Can you say? I feel like I just shovel sh1t at the moment ...

Glaskham I don't think that's happened to me but I wasn't tracking before I started to TTC this time around and whereas I thought it was a fairly steady 28 days, its not 28, its 31 (on average) and sometimes varies wildly for no apparent reason!

My tummy ache is getting worse and worse...maybe I need a wee...

Im a mgt consultant- I deal with projects its longs hours and pushing seniors. So Im not sure how i'd cope if/when I get a BFP. Being tired/feeling sick etc doesnt mix!

Sorry ur not feeling well though. Maybe its bug. Strange that you still feel ill...

lardybump · 10/07/2008 16:33

Evening ladies. I have been really ill today. The sickness got 10 times worse. So me and DD have been lazing about all day watching crappy telly. We have the duvet on the sofa and the curtains drawn all day....

calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:34

Crikey, either I pee quick or you lot type slow....

Or you've all buggered off?

I have a CM question, I posted yesterday about it but no-one picked up on it because you were all too busy laughing at my hangover.

From yesterday;
However, TMI (worse than what has gone before today), I think I OV'd late coz went to the loo on Thurs CD24 I was expecting to see AF as so wet but it was a big glob of jelly like stuff and assumed this was EWCM. Although to be honest, I'm not really sure...it kind of looked like what I had when I had my show with DS a couple of days before he was born."

Back to now:
So I've just been to for a wee (and a small poo, in case that's in any way interesting relevant and I've got a small and very sticky glob of clear mucous.

What does it all mean?

Anyone? Teuch? Diege?

OP posts:
calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:35

Oh LB, sorry you're so poorly, are you drinking lots of water and eating little and often?

OP posts:
glaskham · 10/07/2008 16:39

sorry your ill LB!! hopefully it'll ease up in the next few weeks.

back to your question yesterday cals- (and no you didn't need to tell us about the poo) I wouldn't know about the relation to ovulation but i sometimes get sticky gunky discharge the days before AF due (sorry)....

glaskham · 10/07/2008 16:40

and cals- i'm a slow typer i think!! between typing and keeping an eye on the kids its hard work keeping up with you fast typers!!

lardybump · 10/07/2008 16:41

Yes doing my best. I seem to be eating all the bloody time though.... DP just got back from work and me and dd are still in our PJ's.... He has offered to cook dinner as well.... blimey....

Sorry I cant help with your CM cals. Diege will check in later I am sure.

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/07/2008 16:43

sorry you're so poorly LB

Cal - reckon you are pg! explains the weird CM and dodgy tummy.

Welcome baby time, this thread is great for sharing TMI and for having a laugh!!

Hi everyone

calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:44

Glaskham - I thought that might be the case...she's due tomorrow .

Ho hum...another one bites the dust.

OP posts:
calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:45

Really Playing? Could it be? Am feeling a bit sorry for myself today...

OP posts:
lardybump · 10/07/2008 16:46

Cals I got clear gloopy CM from OV until I got my BFP and still getting it now (colour has changed to a kind of yellow now though)(SORYY TMI) Could be you are up the duff..... Why aren't you testing woman....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/07/2008 16:47

(I am not here, I am still doing his bloody room)

Cal, (close your eyes everyone!) I had absolutely disgusting sticky CM before I got the BFP, it was soooooo gloopy and ewwwwww!!

Ahem, as you were....

Remind me to never ever ever ever ever ever EVER tidy a single thing in my whole life!

glaskham · 10/07/2008 16:48

Well i cant remember and dont think i even noticed CM when pg with the other 2... but last cycle i had lots and NJ did say its a good sign of pregnancy, but then AF showed up.... however i did get 2 positive tests that faded, DH wonders if it was a chemical pregnancy???

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/07/2008 16:48

...can't believe I am worried about telling you all about my CM after yesterday's revelation!

babytime · 10/07/2008 16:49

calsworld - had that mucous stuff too yesterday.

i used a 6day first response yest and did not even get the faintest line so im sure not much would change today now.

Also is that true that the tests are less likely to work if you are constantly weeing. I never heard you should leave a big gap between wee's?

GYo - not long now

babytime · 10/07/2008 16:50

whats a chemical pregnancy?

calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:51

LB - Not testing coz don't think I am and don't really want to see another BFN. I'm only going to test if I really think it could be possible rather than just testing because I want it, IYSWIM?

LB & NJ, Thanks for sharing! Am feeling lifted and glad though that having sticky CM doesn't necessarily mean that I'm not pg

OP posts:
Playingthe9monthwait · 10/07/2008 16:52

Yeah, I'm sure my CM got a bit gloopy and I def had AF symptoms, even slight stomach cramps (which were abit like a cross between AF cramps, trapped wind and a full bladder). So it is possible Cal.

glaskham · 10/07/2008 16:52

about weeing.... reccomended time is a gapof 3-4hrs between last wee to wee you are testing with if not FMU....

and (someone correct me if i'm wrong as i'm not 100%) but chemical pregnancy is when your egg is fertilised but doesn't implant, so your body could show a tiny bit of the pregnancy hormone, causing a positive test.

GruffaloSoldier · 10/07/2008 16:53

I too had gloopy (not much though) CM and it was a slight yellowy colour!!!I thought my eyes had gone funny! Also had upset tummy this morning and weed 6 times in under three hours where i usually only go three times in a whole day! Not much now though, not even weeing anymore. IM CONFUSED AND CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!

Oh ok now I feel better

calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:53

Not sure on description of CP babytime, but you have to wait at least 4 hrs to get a reliable result from any test to allow time for the pregnancy hormone, hcg, to build up in your urine. That's why first morning urine (FMU) is the recommended option.

Also, if you can't pee continously like the instructions say (I can't, I have a bladder the size of a pea) then you can pee in a pot then dip the stick in it instead. Yoghurt pots and old take away cartons are ideal apparently!

OP posts:
calsworld · 10/07/2008 16:55

Gruffalo , we'll be OK, whether AF comes or not we'll all still be here.

Rant away coz I'm sure that's what helps! It wouldn't be a support thread without ranting...
