Welcome to the new thread I only hope I can link it to the old one

Great news Lottie! How exciting! Hope they all progress nicely.
I will sit and read this thread properly, because I am a bit behind. I hadn't realised you had been to Spain, was is Ceram?
It's two at the ERI and the clinic in Hungary is recommending three, but they can do however many they please. One other lady who is on her second cycle at that clinic had discussion of four being transferred last time.

mowmi · 04/12/2008 14:25

LL that's fab news - I have everything crossed for you!
Sooty - how you doing?
Had a scan yesterday and all is well 35+ folicles (not gloating - had around that many last time resulted in 18 eggs but no embryos to freeze and BFN!)EC will be Monday.
Feeling pretty emotional and low at the moment....it's only the drugs, it's only the drugs....

Hello to everyone x

lottie - yes ds is 10 months now, we have been ttc again for about 6 months with no joy as yet but not as obsessed (yet) as last time might re-join the temping buddies thread in the new year. anyway sending lots of positive vibes your way. xxxx

ladylush · 04/12/2008 16:21

Following this thread with fascination. LL - was on the same ttc thread at you at some point (temping I think). I've got ds (4) but 4 m/c later and we are struggling to have another dc. Dh's sperm results reveal good count but poor morphology. Last m/c was a blighted ovum. Could've been due to faulty sperm. Thinking we might need assisted conception to boost our chances. The cost of IVF in Norway is very good value. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your embryos

pinkie08 · 04/12/2008 16:55

Hi can anyone give me some advice.

I am on my last round of clomid 50mgs and after that its on to the fertility specialist (the gynae has been doing the clomid).

I am so despondent dont really know how long it will take to get referred and what they do now.

What are my chances this month and what happens while im waiting for the specialist.

Surely once i stop the clomid theres no chance

Please help i am very sad

LL it sounds as if you have the right attitude and they do say that can be very beneficial. Hope first attempt is all you need

ladylush · 04/12/2008 17:14

Are you working at the moment LL? Just wondered how the whole IVF thing fits in with work. I expect you need to take a fair amount of time off work.

sootykalucy · 05/12/2008 21:36

Hi all and especially LL who has been doing all the communicating this week - I have been reading just not posting and congrats on your embryo's . . . ET is the best bit I think . . . . . 45 follicles mowmi ! . . . I am impressed.

I had a weird week, after my five follicles last week my wednesday scan only showed two on my left side and nothing on my right. I had a blood test and hadn't ovulated and no-one seemed to know what had happened. Anyway had another scan today and now have two on the left that look normal and one big mis-shapen one on the right. They thought it might be a cist? Or maybe that it was a follicle that had been hidden by the bowel . . . and had now reappeared? Anyway, not much fun, and they are not very confident because it has been such a drawn out cycle with very incremental growth. . . . going for EG on Monday but not holding out much hope at the moment . . . it will at least be useful diagnostically . . .

ttc2yrs · 05/12/2008 22:01

hello! I'm a newbie too... we've been ttc for 2 years now, just finished all of our tests - found I have one blocked tube, and PCOS. I have done a positive preg test last week, now had x2 negatives... oh so confused. fingers crossed 4 xmas!

oh Sooty - what a nightmare! it's not over until...and all that! hopefully it will all come good - will be thinking of you on monday.
LL - wishing you lots of sticky vibes...hope all goes well today!
Sooty think I got a bit ahead of myself - although i have lots of folicles only about 8 are likely to be viable. Had scan yesterday and they sent me away saying EC monday - got a call last night to say hormones are not where they need to be so will be tuesday now? not sure what it all means.

sootykalucy · 06/12/2008 15:10

'not sure what it all means' mowmi . . . join the club this week . . . I would suggest its no big deal . . . as the hormone levels are apparently more important than follicle size (which vary) . . 8 sounds good to me . . .

How did your transfer go LL?

rowingboat · 06/12/2008 19:28

Hi again, how are things going Lottie? Any more news yet?
Sooty - I wish I could say something useful, but it only takes one good egg.
I just wanted to update - I did postpone the Hungary appointment. He has replied to my email and asked when would suit, so I plan to make the appointment mid-January. We have an appointment at ERI at the start of January.
Right will read the thread tonight and will be better informed on what everyone is doing by tomorrow.

ttc2yrs · 06/12/2008 21:10

Hey guys So I did another test today (first thing) and had another faint positive! We have been referred for Assisted Conception, and I had an HSG about 5 weeks ago - now waiting for an appoinment for surgery to unblock f tube. Hopefully it wont be needed if this is a 'proper' pregnancy and not a CP. fingers crossed

Hi Ladies
Only just managing to get this evening and now very nearly tomorrow.
LL - great news on your embies - I hope you are taking as easy as possible.

Sooty - i hope everything is going ok for you?

Mowmi - you too

I only had 8 embies last time, and only two survived thaw and were put back and 1 resulted in my little girl. So never give up the hope.

Well - we are off on our travels tomorrow over to ireland for our ET on Tuesday. Getting blooming nervous now. Experience doesn't make IVF any easier to deal with, apart from the knowledge that i will have my bits on show for 15 mins on tuesday!

hopefully I will be able to log on over hte next couple of days. if not, will catch up when I am back on weds.

take care all and rest up those on the 2ww.

rowingboat · 07/12/2008 00:17

Wow, those 8 cell embryos sound really good Lottie. Big sticky vibes to you. It sounds very emotional - the remaining embryo. Come on number three you can do it!!
I hope to start quite soon after visiting. He wants me to have a recent day three test, but we can get everything else done when we go back over - even the sperm test. Apparently, I can expect to stay in Budapest for between 10-12 days, I think the 12 is for a day five transfer, which I think must mean if they are go to blastocyst.
I know somebody who is over there now for a second cycle. She is going to phone soon to let me know how it goes.
Good luck Flibberty, hope it all goes well on Tuesday.

ladylush · 07/12/2008 11:20

LL fingers crossed for your 2 embryos (possibly 3 depending on what happens with your other one). Hope you have a relaxing fortnight
