TTC Baby #3 Not our first rodeo 🤠

I thought I’d start a thread for those TTC baby number 3 (and beyond, feel free to join!) It would be nice to share experiences. I feel like where I’m from 3 is the new 2 😅 but I’ve always felt like I wanted a bigger family anyway (I am 1 of 4!)

For background, DD1 has just turned 6 and DD2 has just turned 4. I’m on cycle #2, AF due in a couple of days but I’m testing BFN so roll on cycle #3. I was really hoping to catch before November so baby would only be 4 school years behind DD2 🙈 but what will be will be!

DD1 took 15 cycles

DD2 took 1 cycle

Anyone else??? X

@unsureforevermore Same here, I'm 8 weeks now but look like I did at about 20 weeks with my first two! On scan they did say that I have an 8cm cyst on my ovary so am hoping it's partly that and not just the amount I'm eating!

How is everyone else doing?

MegaMinion34 · 28/01/2026 08:07

Hi everyone, not been on for a while as a lot has happened!

Unfortunately on Monday I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure/insufficiency. I'm only 29 😔 been told that a natural conception now, although not impossible, is very unlikely. We understandably aren't entitled to IVF on the NHS as we already have two DC, and can't afford to go private, so it's looking like baby #3 is going to be very unlikely. Not going to lie, I'm a little but gutted 😔

I am TTC baby number 3.
I'm 34 and my DH is 40.
Our DDs are 4 and 2.
Period is due Saturday so 2 days time and I've had the wildest TWW.
Really similar symptoms to when I conceived my 2nd. Fuller boobs, sensitive nips, crazy dreams, hornier (hahahaha), headaches and backaches, napping!! In bed by 8pm each night for past week.
I tested a few days ago and low and behold it was negative!!
Going to see if my period does come on Saturday, I'm very regular 25/26 cycles each month. If not I'll test again!
I was using the one steps but I think they're rubbish so I've read?!
Congrats to all of you who have your BFPs and good luck!

@MegaMinion34

I'm so sorry to hear that, that's so hard. Hope you've got some good support around you, and that you're able to just look after yourself for a bit. Flowers

@MegaMinion34 I’m so sorry to hear this - sending hugs 🫂

Hope everyone is getting on okay!

I am 18 weeks on Tuesday, and we found out we are having a little girl ☺️ We have the anomaly scan on 24th Feb which is the next hurdle.

Hope everyone is okay, and baby dust to those waiting on their BFPs! ❤️

@Lilacrose27morning! I have a subchorionic hematoma with my first born, it didn’t cause me any issues just the bleeding/spotting here and there! Which is obviously frustrating as makes you worry, have they said that they will scan again if bleeding persists etc? I think I pretty much bled here and there through my first trimester and then it eventually just stopped!
Is there a reason your high risk for blood clots? Does it run in the family?

i am still pregnant! roughly 5+2! I feel like I don’t feel shitty enough at the moment 🤣 however my boobs are huge, random cramping here and there and waves of nausea tends to be worse at night - going to contact docs this week to start ball rolling going to be hard to keep quiet till scan tho as already look bloody pregnant haha

That’s really reassuring thank you! I had my 12 week scan last week and the heamatoma has grown but the lady said it’s dark so it looks like old blood no active bleeding and that it’s possible it’s resolving itself. I have no idea why I’m high risk for clots nobody has mentioned it to me i mentioned it to my mum and she thinks it’s maybe because I’ve had 4 pregnancies back to back since 2022 and 2 living children plus the baby I’m pregnant with currently. I have a consultant appointment tomorrow as I’m high risk pregnancy anyway so I’m going to ask them. Baby is happy enough in there and I felt them kick twice during my scan which was bizarre as I’ve never felt anything this early on. I’m 13 weeks on Tuesday.

how are you getting on and how are you feeling? Have you had your scan yet?

Hope everyone else is doing okay?

Congratulations! I hope your scan goes well I’m sure it will! You’re almost over halfway through dos it feel like it’s flown by? mine feels like it dragging this time around.

Hello, just spotted this thread…is anyone still TTC (maybe I should start a new one?).

I’ve just turned 39 and we’ve finally decided to ttc no 3, which feels a bit crazy. I have a 7yo DS and a 5yo DD, and they’re gorgeous and life is getting easier (and cheaper now both at school)…so maybe this is totally the wrong decision, but I’ve always wanted 3.

I had a mc in Dec 24 that was very traumatic and we didn’t try at all in 2025, but I feel physically and mentally ready now. If I conceive this month or next the baby will be born while I’m still in my 30s, so hoping for that!
