TTC Baby #3 Not our first rodeo 🤠

I thought I’d start a thread for those TTC baby number 3 (and beyond, feel free to join!) It would be nice to share experiences. I feel like where I’m from 3 is the new 2 😅 but I’ve always felt like I wanted a bigger family anyway (I am 1 of 4!)

For background, DD1 has just turned 6 and DD2 has just turned 4. I’m on cycle #2, AF due in a couple of days but I’m testing BFN so roll on cycle #3. I was really hoping to catch before November so baby would only be 4 school years behind DD2 🙈 but what will be will be!

DD1 took 15 cycles

DD2 took 1 cycle

Anyone else??? X

@mummatara oooh easy at home, that brings back memories too! I told myself I'd be super cool this time round as we're "leaving it to fate" but I don't know why I was even kidding myself, I've already bought the massive pack of test strips 🤦‍♀️

@Anonna123 in my last post I said I’d already made peace with getting AF…not 2 bloody days early! That’s just annoying!! Hahaha.

Congrats @mummatara, keeping everything crossed that tests keep progressing well!

I'm CD13 today, ov testing daily and think things are starting to increase; peaked at CD17 last month. My husbands been so busy with work this last month and currently, hoping we can make time!!

Thank you all, I must say having this chat does make it all better as I can’t really rant to anyone in real life because nobody knows I’m trying! DH was disappointed but I don’t think men really take understand it the same way we do 🤣

@mummatara yeah I would say it’s pretty common for me to spot for a day before the full flow. I forgot to say I actually took one of my cheapies that arrived from Amazon, then wiped and saw the spotting 🤦‍♀️ always the way haha. The test was BFN of course 🙃

@MintRobin what cycle are you on now? Are you using LH strips? I might have to get some from Amazon, I said I didn’t want to but clearly my cycles aren’t as regular as I thought so might be worth a go for December??

@mummatara congrats! Can def see the line progression there. Agree sometimes just get a dud test or particularly hydrated urine that go maybe so didnt show as well!

@olivehush cycle 3, but to be honest, life has got in the way so largely missed ovulation haha so not been able to give it a good go. Started using ov strips last month as my cycles can be irregular and wanted to figure out when my peak is, found it useful as it was later than i thought!

I've found it useful but know everyone is different! Might be worth a shot if you want clearer idea of peak etc

@MintRobin tell me about it! Not to mention the exhaustion of actually DTD 🤣

so my spotting just turned into a full flow, which means this is indeed CD1. Which means I ovulated on CD11!!! Surely that’s not long enough to get a good egg. I have messed up my cycle taking these bloody supplements haven’t I 🤦‍♀️ now I don’t know whether to continue them or go cold turkey.

plan for this cycle: jump on DH every day from end of period and just hope and pray 🤣🥂

also just realised because I had a short cycle, I have another shot at an August baby! Very late August! Haha

Just read back through my posts and saw that I did have EWCM on CD8 🤦‍♀️ my body was telling me the whole time!

Which supplements are you on?
I just realised that DH has had loads of hot baths recently, before we decided to ttc, and we even went to the sauna for the day 🤦‍♀️ That's probably me out for the next 3 months!

@olivehushit def helps having us girls to talk to. My hubby is always sympathetic but they really dont get it from our perspective. I think getting some lh strips will help just so you have a clear O was this day. Im sure people O around that sort of time and have successful pregnancies. Hopefully next time 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@olivehush I’m okay thank you, although nausea really starting to set in mainly early afternoons. And the fatigue, as I recall well from the last 2 times is immense 🙈 I somehow need to convince my work to build an afternoon nap into my schedule 😂

I have a private scan booked in Thursday evening next week, so hoping that will be reassuring 🙏🏻

Well that didn’t last long I’m bleeding already. Period was due today and it doesn’t look like implantation bleeding. Test this morning does look lighter but still fairly strong for someone that’s bleeding usually it tapers to nothing before I bleed 😢 3 in a row really really sucks

Ok I’m so confused the test has actually developed darker (maybe best to leave it the required time before declaring it lighter and all over 😅) bleeding also seems on closer inspection a dark reddy brown so old blood but it’s not like the implantation bleeding I had before also would you even get implantation bleeding 4 days after a positive test 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m on progesterone so would have thought that there should be no bleeding. Honestly I just don’t even know what to make of it all 🤔 guess I’ll just have to wait and see

@mummatara that does sound confusing, and I'm not sure what to make of it either! Especially as your tests do look like clear positives. Do you have any cramping pain?

I believe I'm 8 weeks tomorrow.

The night before yesterday I went toilet and discovered quite a bit of blood which rang alarm bells. However I did some research which suggested it could be weak blood vessels on the cervix that burst when I went for a run earlier that day.

Bleeding stopped and haven't had any since. No cramps or blood clots. I went for the Macmillan charity cancer 5K run yesterday (committed to this long before pregnancy) and there was no bleeding afterwards which supports the weak blood vessel theory.

Looking back i did bleed quite a bit with first child 4 years ago, and a little less with 2nd. I may go to an EPU this week to be on safe side.

@Outside9no cramping and bleeding stopped now it never made it onto the pad only when I wiped so maybe it was an implantation bleed that just popped through when period was due 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve never had bleeding in pregnancy only IB twice. If it starts again maybe I’ll ring EPU but they can’t see anything on a scan at this point anyway so just have to wait and see what happens I think. Considering I have been pregnant so many times I thought I had seen it all just goes to show there’s always a curveball! I would definitely speak to the EPU just incase at 8 weeks they can see plenty to check it out and give you that little peace of mind. Hopefully you have no more 🤞🏼

@Anonna123all ok thanks no more bleeding. I’ve run out of boots tests now and only have a few easy at homes left. This mornings test still looked like it was going in the right direction on easy at home. I’m trying to decide whether I can convince my brain not to buy more boots tests 🙈 not an easy feat 😂 bottom test was yesterday when I thought it was over 🤦🏼‍♀️

@mummatara that test still looks ok! 🤞 When miscarried the line has almost gone by the time I started bleeding so I'd say that's a good sign it's just implantation bleeding 🤞
