TTC Baby #3 Not our first rodeo 🤠

I thought I’d start a thread for those TTC baby number 3 (and beyond, feel free to join!) It would be nice to share experiences. I feel like where I’m from 3 is the new 2 😅 but I’ve always felt like I wanted a bigger family anyway (I am 1 of 4!)

For background, DD1 has just turned 6 and DD2 has just turned 4. I’m on cycle #2, AF due in a couple of days but I’m testing BFN so roll on cycle #3. I was really hoping to catch before November so baby would only be 4 school years behind DD2 🙈 but what will be will be!

DD1 took 15 cycles

DD2 took 1 cycle

Anyone else??? X

CD12 yesterday and had EWCM 🤯 I wonder if my supplements are shifting my O back to CD14 again. I probably should be using OPKs but really don’t want to get into all that as it causes me more stress! Anyway I managed to DTD luckily last night. DH was pleased.

@olivehushoooh that exciting a few less days to wait! Though not very helpful for your planning 🤦🏼‍♀️ least you managed to get some action in and hopefully works out better for you a CD14? he was going away wasn’t he?

Apparently 6DPO today according to my temp chart but I had quite bad ovulation pain the day after it thinks I ovulated which is very unusual for me so I’m going with 5 maybe 6DPO. Nothing much unusual to note other than I’ve had a lot of cm more than I normally would at this point and boobies are hurting ever so slightly which I haven’t had pregnant or not since I was pregnant with my first in 2020. neither of those very helpful at indicating pregnancy just maybe a good progesterone rise 🤔😂 managed to keep super busy this week and DH is on a stag do this weekend so I’m solo with the other 2 that’s def going to keep me busy 🙈

@olivehush funny how each cycle can differ, when we think we know our routine it changes haha! That's good you could dtd

@mummatara got those opks from amazon so will give that a go this month, just to help me get a sense of when in the month I'm ovulating

@mummatara oh yes thank goodness his work trip was actually cancelled in the end or we would have missed it completely! So I’m pretty sure I’m 1dpo today but continuing to DTD this week just in case. Exhausting 😅 any more symptoms? Will you test early?

@olivehushoh lol that was good it was cancelled then 😂 omg I know it really is exhausting isn’t it 😴 hopefully you are 1dpo 🤞🏼haha I tested this morning 8dpo and unsurprisingly was BFN 😅 can’t help myself I would have been more surprised it it was positive tbh 😂 I’ve had backache last two days which I’ve only ever had in pregnancy but I won’t read too much into it. I feel like this maybe isn’t going to be a lucky cycle just a feeling.

We're on cycle 1 of TTC #3 and honestly I feel like I'm obsessing about it already 🙈😅

I actually posted a thread asking for some advice, I just had my mirena coil removed on the 22nd September and as a result have no idea when I should test as I have no idea when to expect a period - I didn't have them at all on the coil, other than a very unusual 6 day bleed just before it was removed on 7th-12th September.

I feel all the symptoms but have no doubts my mind is also fabricating a lot of this because I want it so bad! Most notably though, a full/achey feeling, tender but fairly firm abdomen, achey boobs, lower back pain, the odd wave of nausea and fatigue like I can't explain. Did a test on Sunday (amongst the multiple others in the days before it lol) but it was negative - of course could be way off with dating, genuinely have zero clue!

@mummatara ah sorry for the BFN. Seems like everyone on here gets a BFP on 8dpo as well 🤣 I think I have like 3 cheapie tests left so I am not testing until 13dpo this time…I’d rather just get AF than BFNs at this rate. I took like 15 tests last cycle 🥲 and it really got me down!

welcome @MamaO88 I have never been on the coil so I’m really not sure how it all works but hopefully someone else might. But still possible you ovulated say 2 weeks after it came out? Could be another week until missed period. It’s hard to tell without just guessing really until you have an AF! But hopefully you won’t this month 🤣 how old are your 2 DCs? I’m on cycle 3 and feel like this is taking forever 🤣

We have DS 7 and DD 5, so I’m hyper aware that every cycle longer means bigger age gaps 🙈

I had ewcm (sorry!) on the 9th and 10th so going to assume that was ovulation, which would only put me at 3/4 dpo right now? We actually go on holiday on Sunday so I’m kind of thinking I’m going to need to test first thing before we leave at about 9/10 dpo and pop a test in the case just incase if it’s bfn?

@MamaO88 lol no information is too much information over here 🤣 I had the most insane ovulation symptoms this month which I’ve never had. I joked to my DH today maybe I released 2 eggs 😳 really sore boobs, bloated and loads of EWCM and ovulated earlier than usual so I have no idea what’s going on here!

ahh yes my DDs are 4 and 6 but if I conceive pretty much from now onwards they’ll be 5 and 7! I’m a bit worried about having an age gap like that but…crossing that bridge when I come to it! Twiddling my thumbs this week as I’m only 1dpo…

Forgot all about this horrible part of symptom spotting and trying to keep your mind occupied and distracted

A family member publicly announced she’s expecting her 3rd yesterday and I felt proper envious 🙈

Well, I believe I'm ovulating today, and we certainly did a BD last night. There were a lot of discussions the last couple months, even up to last night.

I guess they upon reflection a 3rd wouldnt have been a big subject matter if we were truly done. So we'll see what happens, gonna try not to put pressure on it.

My kids are 3.5 and 15 months. So I suppose worst case in 5 years they'll all be out of nappies and more independent.

@olivehushlol your better than me I can’t stand the wait I just have to test even if it’s negative so I know where I stand on that day at least. Still reckon you’re in the TWW? Have the signs all gone now?

@MamaO88welcome 👋🏼 sorry I can’t help re the coil I’ve never had one. I agree it’s going to be a waiting game 🙈 keep looking for the signs esp with CM that’s always a good clue about where you are in cycle. You could have a feel where your cervix is and if it’s soft or hard. I would chuck a test in if it was me but already established I can’t help myself and am a serial tester 😂

@Outside9I think that’s a good way to look at it you keep coming back to the conversation so you must still be considering it ❤️ good luck for the TWW keep us posted on how you’re feeling. Will you test early or wait?

@mummatara As it's the first cycle and I'm 'trying' to hand a relaxed approach, I'm going to avoid early testing and wait until period is due.

Thankfully there's a lot going on with work and family to keep me distracted. If it took a couple more cycles, then my patience might weaken lol

How about you, are you coming up to the end of your tww?

Caved and did a test as I’m now 24 days from having the coil out, it was of course negative - just couldn’t help myself 😅

I think going by cm I o’d around the 9th/10th, so would only be 6dpo at most?

Going to stick with my plan of testing again first thing Sunday before we leave for the airport, and have a test packed in the case just in case that is still negative

@Outside9yes I’m 10dpo if you ask FF app but I reckon I’m a day behind that. I only have an 11 day LP so will know in a day or so either way. Still reckon I’m out this cycle though. It’s good you have plenty to distract you with that always helps!

@MamaO88ahhh still plenty of time fingers crossed for Sunday 🤞🏼 it’s so hard when you’re in limbo. I remember after one of my MC I waited 11 weeks for AF to show not knowing what was happening 🙄

@mummatara yep I am pretty sure I did O on CD14! Which makes me 3dpo today. My EWCM is gone, sore boobs are easing off now. I did have some ovulation-like pain in my right side last night but that could just be the leftover follicle (or nothing? lol) any tests today??

quite glad it’s ended up being a shorter cycle as they feel sooo long otherwise 🥴

@olivehushoooh that’s good glad you’re now in the TWW 💪🏼 I would love it if I could O at CD14 😂 yes this morning was a very very BFN. I’ll test every morning because I’m just using easy at home strips and I don’t feel bad wasting them but I feel absolutely nothing zero symptoms. The couple I had are long gone. That being said I didn’t have any symptoms with last DS soooo suppose that’s nothing to go by 😂

Sorry for the weird question but - how many times are you all BDing during the fertile window? We are doing like once a day, for example this cycle we only managed 2 days before O, O day, and day after O. Missed the day before unfortunately but was out of our control. Is that enough or should we be doing it multiple times a day?!

@mummatara ahh sorry for your BFN. Still early enough to get a BFP though! I didn’t get mine until 12dpo with both of my DDs, I didn’t test on 11dpo but even if I did I don’t think they’d had come up as they were super faint on 12dpo my DH couldn’t even see them 🤣

@olivehushoh god no I couldn’t handle multiple times a day 😂 I’d be so tired. Just once a day here. I try and do every other day in the lead up and then def day before and day of. I think if you can catch day before O it’s the best day means fresh swimmers are there waiting. So if you O on CD14 I would aim for 14, 13, 11,10 or you could do 14, 13,12,10. try and aim for at least one day off in FW as supposedly gives sperm a chance to rejuvenate better or something. I think lots of advice says to do day after O too but I never have I feel like it’s better they are there I did read once it takes sperm something stupid like 12 hours to even reach the fallopian tubes so to me doing day after ovulation seems pointless 😂

@olivehush10/11 dpo has always been my magic number for getting a BFP. I did have one once at 8dpo but that was a blighted ovum MC. Then last cycles chemical was 9dpo and that obv didn’t work out either so early ones are bad luck for me 🙈 I’m going to be so shocked if I do get a bfp this cycle 😂

So I’m at that stage where I truly feel like I could get a positive result this cycle, but then questioning if everything is real or if I’m manifesting it 😂

But the main things for me is an almost constant full/achey feeling in my abdomen, not like cramping, just like a persistent dull ache and firmness to touch. Insane fatigue, like I just feel permanently knackered, the odd bit of nausea (today I was actually sick a little bit in my mouth) and literally no appetite and when I eat even 2-3 mouthfuls I have that absolutely stuffed, overate ache in my stomach.

Like I don’t associate several of this with periods, not what’s normal for me anyway! That being said, I haven’t had a proper period since 2019 so is this just about to be the mother of all periods brewing?!

@MamaO88 it's so hard to not get excited when it feels like you're getting all the symptoms! Are you around 8dpo? Still lots of time for a positive!

@olivehush we generally do once a day, every other day during fertile period. Though it depends on what else is going on!!

Hope all getting on well, keeping fingers crossed for some good results!! I'm CD9 and been using the ovulation tests which are actually really helpful, looks like i might have my peak in next few days which would actually put ovulation a few days earlier than what i expected, so likely missed it last cycle! Xx

@MintRobin that’s exciting, I hate starting a new cycle when ttc, but once you get towards O you feel like you’re back in the game 😅

Best case I’m only 7dpo (might only be 6) today - the wait is killing me, but determined not to test until Sunday morning now, before we head to the airport - so will be 10dpo then

BFN this morning. My temp and rhr have both shot up today but that likely means nothing 🤣 had a bad night with both the other two so that prob chucked temp off and no clue about rhr just a weird day maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ll see what it does tomorrow. anyway I think for sure 11dpo tomorrow so AF due Saturday
