TTC Baby #3 Not our first rodeo 🤠

I thought I’d start a thread for those TTC baby number 3 (and beyond, feel free to join!) It would be nice to share experiences. I feel like where I’m from 3 is the new 2 😅 but I’ve always felt like I wanted a bigger family anyway (I am 1 of 4!)

For background, DD1 has just turned 6 and DD2 has just turned 4. I’m on cycle #2, AF due in a couple of days but I’m testing BFN so roll on cycle #3. I was really hoping to catch before November so baby would only be 4 school years behind DD2 🙈 but what will be will be!

DD1 took 15 cycles

DD2 took 1 cycle

Anyone else??? X

@Anonna123last 2 cycles I’ve had chemicals and I didn’t start bleeding until the line was really faint so I was a bit shocked when I went back to the test later and it was darker. I took it then saw the blood and just assumed was over so went back to bed to cry. I still find it strange how you can get IB 4 days after a positive test but I did have a Google and you can still have a little bleed around the time you would get your period so that must have been it I always say bodies are weird 😂 I’ll ring EPU if I’m still pregnant next week and they can book me in for a scan the week after

TTC baby number 3 I always have a 2 year old and an 8 month old but I want one more and I’m not getting any younger. I had difficult pregnancies and PP with both babies but I feel like someone is missing and someone said to me you’ll never regret having another baby but you’ll regret not having another if you really want one. So I’m going for it we did proper trying for our first and it was extremely stressful so we’re trying this time around but not putting too much pressure on ourselves and not having a schedule.
we agreed to start actively trying in the new year but we had a bit of an oops moment and I’m in the 2weeks wait period now.

@Anonna123 I am currently taking Maca root and CoEnzyme Q 10 which seems to have made me ovulate earlier and earlier each cycle - oops!

@Lilacrose27 welcome! What DPO are you do you know?

I am CD6 today and have O pain on my left side, my LH strips came so think I might start testing tonight to see if I can catch my surge. DH away until Thursday so I hope that’s enough time, I’m sure it will be as I’ll be CD8 then so I’m just going to start DTD anyway 😂

@olivehushit has thanks lovely. I’ve had no more bleeding and actually got the start of a dye stealer today 🥰 got a couple more tests to do because they are there and I can’t not do them. Oooh yes grab him as soon as he comes back 😂

Hi all, sorry wasn't on the group for a while, got a bit overwhelmed with everything and sick of the negative tests every month (it's been a year now that we've been trying). But just trying to stay positive.

@mummatara congratulations! Looks like you've got really good progression on the lines. I think getting a little bit of bleeding in early pregnancy can be really common, so if your lines are still progressing well then hopefully everything's OK!

We had our early scan yesterday which was thankfully reassuring. The nausea and fatigue are kicking my butt, so have requested a fit note from my GP to come out the out of hours part of my work (I do evenings/nights/weekends) because it’s been a struggle!

I was brave yesterday took one last picture of my tests and chucked them away. Then didn’t do any this morning. It’s so hard to step away from them but they are not going to tell me anything different at this point I just need to wait for a scan now

@mummatara I’ve just read some of your posts from here and I just wanted to say I’ve had a similar experience to you. I tested positive on 10dpo. Had some spotting from 12dpo-14dpo (period would normally be due on 14dpo). The spotting luckily has stopped and I’m now 17dpo. My test lines have consistently gotten darker. They are now starting to steal the dye.

I had my bloods done on 14dpo but won’t be getting the results until tomorrow. I have continued to test, skipping a few days here and there. I will probably take an easy at home tomorrow before my doctors appointment and then take my last digital weeks indicator in a few days. Then I plan to stop testing as I know the lines can only tell you
so much and you need a scan to tell you more. I have a scan booked for when ill be 7+2.

@underthethreeahhhh got everything crossed for you. Did they only take one set of bloods? I only had that one episode of bleeding and thankfully nothing more so long may it stay that way 🤞🏼

I spoke to the EPU this morning and they’ve booked me in a week on Tuesday I’ll be 6+2 for a scan. Still can’t believe I have know for almost 2 weeks and I’m still only 5 weeks 😂 our house has vomited christmas this weekend so I’ve had a tonne of stuff to keep me very busy. Eldest is beside himself with excitement.

@mummatara yeah the doctor suggested we wait for the results of 14dpo before deciding if we’d check Hcg again. Personally I would have just done them 48hrs later anyways.

but I’ve had the results of my 14dpo Hcg now and it’s 299. Which im happy with. I’ve done another blood test today at 18dpo and the doctor said she’ll ring me with the results when she gets them.

if the 18dpo look okay then I’ll be waiting for the scan at 7+2. I can’t believe I’m only 4+2 today considering I’ve known for over a week now 😂🫣 3 weeks until my scan 🤞

I’m in a right pickle…I’ve been testing on OPKs since CD8, I’m now on CD15 and not got a positive yet! And not had any EWCM either 🙁 I had watery CM yesterday. I’m also craving sugar/junk food which I usually get around ovulation (lucky me lol) so it must be soon…but the OPKs are so negative and not getting any darker. No idea what’s going on. So yeah just twiddling my thumbs right now 🤔

@olivehushscan is on Tuesday so not too long now. My symptoms have really ramped up now so I’m a teeny bit hopeful that we might see a HB 🤞🏼oooh what is your cycle doing to do! If it helps I don’t normally get even a hint of a rise until the day before O when it just all of a sudden goes bam I’m gonna peak. Maybe your body is levelling out again after the vits? I think you said you normally O around CD 17/18?

@olivehush I‘m not too sure as my periods have been ridiculously irregular since having my little one earlier this year. I am currently late for my period and my app is telling me to test in 3days if it doesn’t arrive so fingers crossed although I’m not holding much hope this time around if I’m honest.

I did get impatient last weekend and did a few early tests but they all seemed to have indent or evap lines on them it was two different brands too and I did 2 clear blue early digital ones and they were negative. I’ll just have to keep trying!

Did a test just now and I’m not sure if this is a line or not or if it’s an evap line it was a clear blue 1 minute result one and I know the blue dye tests are known for evap lines and false positives. Going to get a digital test at some point to find out for sure I’m having mixed feelings right now and I’m actually a bit scared if I’m being completely honest.

I don’t really know why I’m positing this when I don’t know for certain but I’m a bit emotional I’m sat holding my baby who is not much older than my first was when I fell pregnant with him. my boyfriend said he can’t see a line an I imagining it?

Update: The digital one has confirmed it I’m pregnant again! I’m nervous for 3 under 3 I’ll have an almost 3yr old (they’ll be 3 months out from being 3) and a 17month old which will be the exact same age gap as my two I have already! I’m feeling mixed emotions right now as I had difficult pregnancies and my relationship with my partner has only just got back on track from my last pregnancy.

I was questioning my sanity doing 3 under 5. Mine will be 4 and almost 2 when/if 3rd arrives.

Welp. Had 12week scan today.

I won't be having 3 under 5, I'll be having 4 under 5 as I'm carrying twins.

To say I am shocked and devastated is understatement. We were on the fence about 1 more, didn't consider we'd have two.

I see people this scenario all the time. Never thought it would happen to us. I know I sound ungrateful. **

@Outside9oh my goodness twins 🙈 it’s a lot to digest esp if it’s never been a consideration it might happen before with like family history etc it’s unexpected news and it’s ok to feel a bit ahhhhh about it. Did you go for an early scan at any point or just waited for 12 week?

Literally no one in my or DH's family have twins.

I didn't go for any early scans. I did try when I experienced days of spotting, but they saod wouldnt see me unless referred by a GP as I already had two kids. I wasn't overly worried as I experienced minor spotting in previous pregnancies.

Symptoms have been strong and havent lightened up like they did at this point in previous pregnancies. It all makes sense now.

The sonographer was so lovely. Consoled me as I cried like a baby. Good news (I guess) they're very healthy, and aren't sharing sac or umbilical cord, so lower risk.

But my goodness twins, in a two bed house. We are so screwed.

omg @Outside9 ❤️❤️❤️ can totally understand all the emotions! You WILL be able to do it, sure it will be hard but soon they’ll fit into your life and you won’t be able to imagine life without them! What’s your EDD?

sorry for the delayed reply @mummatara tis the season… ahh congrats on seeing the HB 🤩 how far along are you now? When is your 12 week scan? I never got a positive OPK, I think I had a faulty batch! however AF hasn’t arrived yet, haven’t tested as don’t want to tempt fate or see another BFN and want to end the year on a high note 🤣
