Yarnie if you are testing early with no FMU I'd advise you hold wee as long as you possibly can - I did a non-FMU test quite early and held wee for between 4 and 5 hours - it was agony but worth it as lines has darkened from the morning's faint line GOOD LUCK !

yarnie don't be pushed into testing too early,you test when you feel it's right! fruity is being a naughty girl, try and ignore her bottom lip but if you do decide to test,try not to get too upset if it's negative, you know it sometimes takes a little time for the hcg levels to be detected I was a serial tester so good at handing out advice but not at taking it, very excited for you at the moment!
fruity don't panic about what I said earlier, I didn't mean they would see an empty sac,(thats a blighted ovum) I meant that they sometimes don't see anything until 5+ weeks (the sac & the fetal pole) as mibbes said, if they find that then they usually assume all is well, a hb is detected a little later.You have your bfp under your belt so stop fretting lady, enjoy from now on!

Thanks, Emmsy. I think I will be disappointed if it's BFN, but not upset. There's not a shred of me that can imagine it being a BFP, so it won't be a surprise. It's early days for me (only cycle 2), so plenty of time for a BFP if I don't get one this time.

Yarnie test test test!!! I got a +ve test at 3+4 in the middle of the afternoon, much fainter than with FMU the next day but still there! My advice (if you want it!)

1. Hold on as long as you can
2. Whilst holding on multi-task by eating a pot of yoghurt
3. Whilst still holding on wash out said yoghurt pot thoroughly
4. Stop holding on and (you've guessed it) pee into the yoghurt pot

I think if you're testing early it's better to pee into something and put the stick in the pot rather than just peeing on the stick (if that makes sense!) Good luck!!!

High temp fpr me this am, so I may have OV'd y'day. Not nearly as much EWCM as last month if I did though. But may just be cos I took my temp over an hour later than yesterday due to day off today [lazy cow emoticon]
So will just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Be great if I do OV around now, day 16 would be really good for me....

fruity re early scans, check out the photos on twighlightsurfer's profile, am pretty sure there's a scan picture from 5+4, might give you some idea. She didn't see a hb then iirc, but they were able to see that things were looking just fine. Just like you will be able to tomorrow!

Morning ladies. All a bit flat here at Chez G. Just knackered. DD2 whiney and have resorted to High School Musical 2 on DVD (bad mother) and it's DD1's last day of school. So from tom there's no more school runs for 6 weeks Yippppeeeeee.

Can't you phone him? 1st time I got a BFP I sent DH a text which just said "hello daddy" Got one back almost immediately which just said "serious" - no question mark or anything! Tee hee! Poor man, it was a bit of a shock for us both!
