20 week scan is 2 weeks tomorrow. Were blood results all clear ?

mibbes · 06/07/2008 20:41

duh... PG brain ! I remember you saying your progesterone levels were really good - sorry am suffering from memory loss !

Emmsy1 · 06/07/2008 21:13

mibbes funny these braxton hicks, I didn't get them at all with my boys, but had very strong ones with my DD and am getting them this time round (supposed to be carrying another girl)I wonder what sex your baby will be, are you going to find out? Bet you can't wait for 20 week scan, it's such a good feeling to see the scan results all showing 'visualized with normal appearance' lets hope all goes well with yours I am now 24weeks+3days according to the hosp! so have reached the legally viable stage. I was told today that my bump was very big considering that I'm not due until 23rd October. Maybe I'm going to have a 'biggin' this time round, have never had a baby that has made it to 7lb yet, and they were painful enough xx

mibbes · 06/07/2008 21:49

Emmsy we want a surprise so will find out in Dec ! I have a feeling it is a boy actually but we'll see...!

SparklyPiliPala · 06/07/2008 22:09

Pregnancy brains are great mibbes. It only gets worse after having a baby. . I also thought that I was having a boy and the sonographer confirmed it at the 20 week scan. Luckily another sonographer happened to be in the room and was looking at the screen. She shouted, "NOOOOO!! That's a girl. Look at the labia!" LOL.
Emmsy Aw tiny weeny babies are gorgeous. My DD was 8lb 6. I think Fruity's DS was about 10lb!!!

FruitynNutty · 06/07/2008 22:26

yup and 6 ft tall too

hi ladies
hope you are all doing well on this lovely sunday evening
i have just stopped from my marathon cleaning session as our house is like a bomb site most of the time it is all sparkling now
mibbes wow BH this early i had them from around 20 weeks or so with DD. we didnt find out what we were having either and i felt all the way through that we were having a boy. i hadnt even chosen a girls name and i woke up one morning about 2 weeks before DD was born and said to DH we HAVE to settle on a girls name (out of the blue so my body must have known and was telling my brain to prepare) either way when we found out we had a girl we were so shocked and over the moon it is so amazing finding out that way and i would try my best not to find out with any other babies (if i ever get there that is)
sparkly how was the puppy sitting??
fruity i hate those adverts!! dont they realise that even when you have regular periods your body might not work how it should?? bloody adverts!!
hi to everyone else

Mollie Very glad to hear your spotting was just normal early pg spotting . Did you get an answer to whether you need an anti-D injection? I'm rh - too (and with a rare blood group), so trying to swot up in the event I ever get pg.

Fruity At least if you've ov'd it might signal that the end of your cycle is in sight - then you can start again with a nice new, sparkly cycle. Glad to hear there might be more childminding on the horizon. Did you ever get anywhere with the website?

Mibbes Nice to "see" you and "hear" your news.

Sparkly at your weird AF. Oh well - at least it got it out of the way quickly

Ei Sounds like you are nesting! Or perhaps just clearing up! DF and I were forced to do some serious reorganisation this weekend, too (see below).

Emmsy Good news on you having reached another milestone. Let's hope your little one is big and healthy, but not too big, LOL!

Wasn't the tennis brilliant?! I really wanted Federer to win, but the match was so absorbing I didn't really care by the end of it. They were both so good. I had my heart in my mouth for most of it!

The festival on Friday was fabulous. Beck was wonderful, as always, although sporting his retro-grunge look, so not as pretty as usual. Mozz was on excellent form, moaning about Kylie being on the honours list for services to music! Stand out act for me were the Guillemots, though. I've always had a passing interest in their stuff but they are incredible live. Highly recommended.

In other news, we have a lodger moving in with us in about a week, so we have spent all weekend clearing out the spare room and trying to absorb all the crap that was in there into the rest of the house. The lodger will only be staying for a few months (the rent will be a big help) and it's worth it just because it's forced us to sort out the spare room!

FF has given me a "I think you ovulated on..." line for CD15 so I am allegedly 4 dpo. I didn't input any cm data this cycle as I was never 100% sure whether it was me or DF's contribution as we BD a lot!

My temps this cycle are quite a bit lower than my last. I was only just above my coverline today. I had a tiny bit of light pink spotting yesterday (def. not implantation as far too early). I hadn't been rummaging and had not BD yesterday or the day before. Wondering whether I should just put it down to one of those things, or see my GP. Any thoughts?

Mollie Just been catching up with the thread and sorry to hear you had some bleeding. Hope you've not had any more. From what I've read over on Knickercheckers lots of the ladies have had bleeding early on and have then gone on to have healthy pregnancies. One was just last week in fact but all turned out well. I don't know if you remember Jules who used to be on the MC Avengers thread, but she had several horrendous bleeds early on this pg and was convinced she'd lost the baby but all was fine and she's due to give birth any day now (if she hasn't already) Hopefully your GP can refer you for an early scan when you see her this week and put your mind at rest. Take it easy in the meantime
Mibbes Wow, BH already! I've not felt anything like that yet. However, I started feeling and seeing the baby move from the outside on Friday and s/he has been very active all weekend It's a very strange but lovely sensation.
Yarnie Sounds like you had a good weekend. The tennis was great wasn't it? I also wanted Roger to win especially after he came back from 2 sets down, but by the end they both deserved to win it was so close.
Hello to Ei, Fruity, Sparkly, Emmsy and anybody I've missed!

SparklyPiliPala · 07/07/2008 08:38

Morning ladies,
Yes the tennis was great. I wouldn't have minded Roger winning but I had my heart set on Nadal. It's nice for someone else to have a turn. I did feel sorry for him at the end but they were both so professional and lovely. I had a little tear when Nadal climbed up to see his family. They must have been so proud.
I'm still really confused and slightly worried about my body. I had some very dark brown/almost black spotting today. Sorry for the TMI.
Fruity Not long until your appointment now. Keep your chin up lovely. [hugs]
Ei Puppy sitting was fun. DD came down this morning and was very sad to see that the pup had gone home. Well done for getting on with cleaning. I need to hoover this morning but the cleaner is coming Thurs.... maybe it will wait .
Yarnie Did you use pre-seed again this month or have you tried anything different? Concert sounds great. Good luck with your lodger.
Cricri How lovely that your baby is moving so much. I really enjoyed the movements when I was pregnant with DD until the last few weeks. It got too uncomfortable then.

Sparkly I've had the odd clotty, heavy AF bleed and mentioned it to my GP (usually I am very light). She wasn't concerned at all and said that hormone fluctuations, etc can effect the type of bleed you experience. Maybe pop and see your GP if you're at all worried.

In answer to your question, we didn't use Pre-Seed this month. We didn't abstain from it for any particular reason. I think I'll probably use it again next cycle. Apart from that, nothing was done differently this month.

MollieMooma · 07/07/2008 12:00

My you were a chatty lot last night!
Mibbes Thanks for sharing info on your experience with early bleeding, much appreciated. Not long then until your 20 week scan, I bet your so excited. Good job you'd read of someone else having BH at this early stage, although I'm not sure if the internet is a help or a hindrance when we self diagnose!
Fruity Let's petition Always, it is very insensitively worded. Your not the only one with "special" cycles out there, they should take it into consideration Regarding your possible OV, like Yarnie said, roll on a brand new sparkly cycle for you, one where hopefully your DP won't cock up and piss you off If he's like mine then that will be impossible!
Yarnie Sounds like you had a fab weekend, at the Guillemots, really like them. Good luck for your 2WW and symptom spotting
CriCri I might venture over to Knicker checkers today but I'm such a scaredy cat, keep thinking if I join or an ante-natal thread that I will jinx things, how stupid am I? Grow up and move on!
Sparkly Cute puppy! Very odd cycle for you this month missus. I wonder what's going on? I think if it's worrying you, go see a GP just to put your mind at rest. x

SparklyPiliPala · 07/07/2008 15:15

Afternoon all,
I've had a lovely day. My friend brought her little one over for a play and we had a good natter. Just put DD down for a late nap so enjoying some peace and quiet.
Yarnie It prob is just hormone fluctuations as my 21 day bloods showed that everything was 'normal'. I'm not sure whether to use the pre-seed again this month. I have some left but TTC feels so forced.
Mollie How are you feeling now? No idea what's going on with my body. I thought bleeding had returned this am but it went away again. . I've also had lots of tummy cramps as though it keeps trying to come back but it doesn't. It was very clotty on CD1 so maybe everything came out then and now it's just old blood left?

MollieMooma · 07/07/2008 17:00

Sparkly Very odd maybe give it a day or two but if your still getting pains, get it checked out. I'm fine thanks a lot calmer than I was Saturday, I have bitten the bullet and joined the March ante-natal thread and Knicker Checkers, but my heart will always lie here

Sparkly08 · 07/07/2008 19:20

Fancied a name change. Asked DP to help me to think of something to put after Sparkly...he suggested lark, tart. wench, elf and imp? He must think a lot of me.....

Mollie Well done for biting the bullet. I bet the girls over on those threads aren't as lovely as us LOL!! Pains seem to have gone so will just sit it out I think.

LobstersLass · 07/07/2008 19:30
MollieMooma · 07/07/2008 19:44

Sparkly I like the lark you could be Sparklylarkly not too sure about the other suggestions though, might suggest a clip round the ear!
Oh no now I've got that stupid story stuck in my head, is it foxy loxy, chicken licken etc! I bet that'll be stuck there all night now!
And there's no way the other threads could be as lovely as you guys x x x x

MollieMooma · 07/07/2008 19:45

Oh and glad the pain has gone

Sparkly08 · 07/07/2008 20:57

Mollie I wanted to be slinkymalinky but then I'd have to get rid of Sparkly and there would be confusion about who I was....so, that's where sparklylarkly came from. I know lots of stories but I don't know the one you mean...

Sparkly08 · 08/07/2008 08:50

Morning all,
I did my temp 15 mins early this morning because I heard the alarm go off. I didn't realise DP was getting up early. . I have a sore throat and a bit of a cold but I think my temp is as it should be for this time of my cycle.
Fruity How is your temp today? Still up?
Scully Haven't heard from you in a while. How are things?

I've been unsure about whether to post this for a while but I know a few of you have been asking after her. Piper got her AF a while a go and has decided to take a break from TTC. She told me a few weeks a go but I thought I'd wait to see if she came back first. I'll take her off the list and when she's ready to come back she can add herself back on. Thinking of you piper [if you're lurking!].
