Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

Good evening everyone, just wanted a bit of reassurance really. Have been having nausea etc for a couple of days but today not so bad, I’ve not been able to you know, go for a number 2 for over 24hrs, today I’ve been experiencing cramps in my tummy. Not severe, they go away after a bit but feels as though it’s trapped wind, but I can’t go to the toilet. Something else is that I’m SO tired. Actually exhausted, feel like I could sleep anywhere. apart from that, I feel pretty much normal. Estimated 4wks 2 days gone today, is it too early to have symptoms in full swing? Just don’t wanna get ahead of myself as I’ve had two previous losses

curliegirlie · 25/04/2025 20:04

Jumping over here as I'm now on CD2 - it was a random, random cycle last time, I possibly ovulated on CD8 and then AF rocked up on CD18 of all things, giving me a LP of 9 days (it's usually 12!!). I truly hope that's a one off and not a sign of peri approaching (I'm 42, so could well be...). Fingers crossed things settle down this cycle. I only really have until the end of the Summer now, as I think becoming a mum at 44 (even third time round) is pushing it for me!

FlyHighSky72 · 25/04/2025 21:04

@ttcjourney20001that sounds pretty positive to me! Fingers crossed for you!

@curliegirliehope it’s just a random one and this cycle is back to normal!

Hi everyone! Hopping in on here. I am always a silent lurker on these boards but I feel like I need the moral support this month!

Month 5 of ttc #2, with a chemical pregnancy last month that honestly broke my heart! I can't believe how much it hurt after only knowing I was pregnant for about 10 days.

Just got my peak today at CD15. So far we've BD CD8 CD10 CD12 CD13 and today, so we've definitely been sending in the troops so to speak. I think we'll try SMEP plan and go for 3 in a row now, then a break and one more (although that feels like a lot right now haha).

I'm still breastfeeding my son who is 15 months old, and I always said if we hadn't gotten pregnant by 6 months of trying I'd give up breastfeeding, although the chemical has thrown that off a bit as I'm not sure whether to count it or not!

I always wanted a big family, and for my children to be really close in age, but as I had to have a c-section with my son we didn't want to risk starting trying any earlier than we did. So even though 5 months trying really is nothing, it's still so hard watching the months tick by - especially when I can feel my body clock ticking too!!

So anyway, sorry for my long rambling post, hi again everyone!! And baby dust to you all x

Oh my goodness our stories are so similar!
My Son is 17 months tomorrow..still breastfeeding. C section mama here too. This will be my 6th month ttc #2. Had a miscarriage in Feb and a chemical in March. So sorry for your chemical. I truly understand how much it hurts!
How old are you? Don't say nearly 38 😉 I'm due to ovulate in the next few days!

Aww huge congrats to you! 🥰 and yes your symptoms are all perfectly normal. I had instant tiredness, almost the moment I took my pregnancy tests. Falling asleep on the sofa at 7pm. And I always would suffer with constipation in the early weeks. I know how difficult it is not to worry. But you are pregnant now, so enjoy it ☺️ don't let the anxiety of what may not happen take that happiness away x

@ChaE05 im also in a similar boat! Ttc number 2 after a c section and GP recommended 18 months but but my little one is 16 month which feels close enough..

Im also still breastfeeding but had gestational diabetes with my first and breastfeeding helps with blood sugars so debating if its a help or a hindrance!

sorry to hear about your chemicals, this will be our first month trying so a little apprehensive!

Hey! Ah yes very similar! Tbh, I thought it was a year...but like everything, seems to be differing advice!
How long has your cycle been back? I think I got my first pp period at around 9 months. I ovulate quite late between CD18-21 and therefore my luteal phase can be quite short. It was at 9 but my last cycle was 11! Pleased with that as I have been taking vitamins to help. Wishing you lots of baby dust for your first cycle trying! Where abouts in your cycle are you currently?
Oh and the breastfeeding...are you still feeding alot? We cut out day feeds a couple of months ago. But still feeding through the night 🫠 I don't know how I'll ever stop. He just gets himself in a state until he gets it x

Mushroo · 25/04/2025 22:28

@ChaE05 yeh, I took the 18 months with a large pinch of salt as I know so many with a smaller gap and no issues!

it came back in Jan, (so about 13 months post partum) and I’ve always had fairly long cycles, and spotting before AF so definitely far from perfect. Breastfeeding is now mainly just in the morning, with an occasional before bed if she asks for it. Luckily she’s sleeping through (and it was only when we dropped the night feeds my cycle came back!)

What vitamins are you taking? For my first I was using vitamin D, folic acid and

Ahhh this is why I love these boards, it's so nice finding people that are going through the same bits of life as you! I'm 35, my son is 15 months. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, it's so unfair. We're basically cycle twins too then, I've had my peak today. Fingers crossed this is our month. 🤞🏼

Thomsonetthompson · 26/04/2025 08:00

@charlzz @Mushroo @ChaE05 I'm in a similar-ish boat too! Cycle 5 of ttc #2 with a miscarriage in Feb. My son is slightly older at 23 months - I wanted a closer age gap but didn't want a newborn during a hot summer again. Now kicking myself because if it takes much longer I'll have a newborn the next summer.

I had my peak yesterday and v nervous because we were staying with my parents over Easter with absolutely no privacy and only managed to dtd twice in the fertile window.

jelliebean9 · 26/04/2025 08:04

Hey everyone. I’m back again after AF rudely appearing 11/4. In 1dpo, didn’t do ovulation tests this month as I found it made me quite obsessive last month. Going by EWCM and ovulation pains, pretty sure the little egg erupted Thursday morning. Pains abruptly stopped exactly 24 hours after yesterday. So officially in the tww again. This time I am purposely NOT buying tests and I’m going to wait until my period shows or is late, due 8/5. Baby dust to all! How is everyone doing? Where are you in your cycle right now? X

peanutForever · 26/04/2025 09:00

@jelliebean9im 6DPO today and already know im out, but my DH is convinced i am pregnant for some reason, feel like he js being very naive on the matter and i hope hes not disappointed. I didnt track as i was a bit late to the game and think i missed my fertile window...hoping next month is my month though, cant wait for AF to show up i still have 8 days to go until im due

ktl1a · 26/04/2025 09:56

Hi all, I'm going to join, am currently 4dpo (I think). Had a miscarriage at the start of the month, which was absolutely devastating, decided to go for it without waiting for a cycle.

I have 1 DD and struggled to conceive her, I used to ovulate between CD14 & CD17. I didn't do LH tests so am just going by EWCM, which I had on 21st & 22nd so I think I ovulated on 22nd (or possibly 23rd).

it's going to be a long week of waiting to test and find myself obsessively looking at mumsnet posts so hopefully this thread will help! With my previous pregnancys I had stretching cramps and a constant need to go to the toilet before I got a positive test so very aware of those signs this month!

Wishing you all luck and hope to see lots of BFP's!

Why tips for getting him to sleep through the night?! It's killing me! And I'm so sure it's the comfort of breastfeeding to get him back off.

I take a pregnacare Conception, I switched from the breastfeeding one...but to be honest I think they have all the same vitamins in them! I also take high dose vit D and C. B6 alongside a B complex, omega 3 and just started taking co-Q10 x

I feel the same...didn't want to start trying until he was 1. Now I wish I had started before! Didn't think it would take this long with so much heartache. Really sorry for your miscarriage, such a hard time. Twice in your fertile window is great! It only takes one sperm. I still have a flashing face on my CB digital. My cheap OPKs are still a faint line. My partner is on a nightshift tonight. I will ovulate within the next few days I just don't know when! I don't know whether to dtd before he goes to work but I hate it as its so forced and neither of us will be up for it...our boy will still be awake. It's just very awkward! He's off work from tomorrow. But don't know if I'm risking it by not covering ourselves today. We dtd on Thursday evening. He was on a nightshift lastnight too! I might just test again this evening before he leaves and see how it's looking! God it's all so romantic isn't it 🤣 x

curliegirlie · 26/04/2025 12:03

Don't kick yourself for when you started trying. With DD2 I didn't use contraception from when DD1 was 4 months, but my periods didn't return until she was a year anyway, and it then still took 12 cycles. With this stint, I wasn't trying before my first pregnancy/MC in March 2022, but only really would have been able to start trying a maximum of 5 or 6 months beforehand, as the house we were in before we moved was too small for us to have another child in (and DD2 was still in my bed every night back then in any case 😂). It is what it is and you can't do anything about the past and your circumstances then.

ttcjourney20001 · 26/04/2025 12:06

hi everyone!! good news, I’ve finally had a number 2 after a painful 48 hours of constipation, now I’ve shifted that, the nausea has come in clutch. I have mild cramping but more of a dull ache. I feel so relieved after the toilet😅

Oh my goodness when I was pregnant with my son the constipation was horrendous! I had to have a glass of prune juice every morning (literally had to hold my nose to drink it then down a pint of water to stop it making me throw up) then a shot of lactulose every night. The glamour of pregnancy!!

Does anyone else get bad headaches and feel dizzy around ovulation?? I've just gone into my fertile window and had awful headaches last 2 days and keep randomly feeling a bit faint? Not sure if it's wonderful hormones 😅

I get horrendous hormonal migraines and they can come around ovulation or just before my period. Definitely whenever my hormones spike! My first pregnancy they were awful too!

Hi everyone, I’m 9dpo today and took a test this morning and it was bfn. Just taken one now and this is the result, do you think it’s an evap or indent? Or just line eyes. At work so can’t take another until tonight! Feel light headed and a little queezy today but don’t know if I’m thinking into it too much x

Looks more like the urine washed that part. Plus I'm not really seeing the color. The best thing is to wait until you take another test and watch out for the max line

@Mickey1995i agree looks likenit got wet in top then bled over, it could be a faint line but ar 9dpo im really not sure...wait and test again, fingers crossed for you
