Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

@Bumblebee1984I have a 7 year old boy and 4 year old girl 🙂

@peanutForeverhoping you get positive news soon 🤞🏼💕

PearOpal · 17/04/2025 18:50

Checking in - currently in the middle of my 2nd month TTC #1 but I’ll be testing in early May and trying to avoid symptom spotting once I start my TWW. Sending everyone lots of baby dust!

ChaE05 · 17/04/2025 18:59

Heyy! Can I join? TTC #2. Im 38 next month. My little boy is nearly 17 months and been trying for about 6 months now. I had a miscarriage at 6.5 weeks in Jan, then we caught again immediately but sadly ended in a chemical at 5 weeks. We weren't lucky this month, just finished period and due to ovulate at end of April! Wishing everyone luck 🙏 x

hopingfor4 · 18/04/2025 06:29

Hi all back here too. Due to ovulate around the end of April but cycle goes until May so here we are.
A little about me - this is cycle 3 TTC number 4. I have an almost 10yr old, 7 year old and 4yr old, and a miscarriage between the first two. I’m one of 4, and while we did think we were finished after number 3 (and covid I had a hard time parenting newborn and all the uncertainty) we did decide the end of last year we wanted to add just 1 one to our little group. I’m 32, 33in June so still fairly ‘young’ but after having my 3 in my 20s first cycle/try, I’m now feeling quite down that it hasn’t happened yet. We’re away at the in-laws for the next week so will miss majority of fertile period, coming home just as ovulation should happen so I’m hoping we manage to catch the very end 😬
best of luck to everyone else this month. I hope it’s our turn.

Hello ladies ❤️

Ive come over from the April thread.

AF come today on my first month back TTC after a long break. We are both 41 and had 8 months break (was trying for 6 months prior) We have DD who is 6 years old and we conceived her first cycle so all this is so new to me. I’m so worried that it’s just not going to happen.

Thank you @Muddysocks1 for starting a new thread and as I’ve said I’m so sorry for your chemical 😞

So, I’m taking folic acid, 600mg COQ10 and Omega 3. What is the other supplements of aspirin and L-arginine?

Im due to ovulate end of April but AF due May so would rather move here with you ladies.

Edited

Thank you xx I’m taking aspirin and L’arginine both because apparently they’re good for building up a thin lining 🤞🏻

Hi all. Happy Friday! I'm due to finish my period tomorrow but I'm curious, if bleeding is really light do you still count that as your last day? Or do you go off the last day it's a proper flow of blood? X

I tend to count light bleeding as my last day and say that my periods over when it's completely stopped but that's not based on anything 😅

peanutForever · 18/04/2025 10:49

@Katfluff21i may be misunderstanding but it should only matter what day your period started not when it ended? Unless you are gna track ovulation from that day?

still count it as the last day of period if theres any bleeding/spotting until you are completely clear

BerrieSweet · 18/04/2025 12:26

Hi, joining as well! It’s out 5th month trying for our first and got a blinking smiley today so ovulating soon. We have started to take some tests for fertility and waiting for answers atm. I really hope it’s our turn soon, this is the worst wait in my life and I notice how I get less hopeful and more negative which isn’t me at all! 🥹

It's only the first day of your period that matters as that is CD1 x

Hi all hope you don’t mind if I join. We plan on trying for our 3rd from next month🤞I currently have a 4 and 7 year old. Don’t head into my fertile week until the 10th May, so a little time to go. I am currently taking Proceive, which is ok has all the vitamins but is pricey. Really excited for this journey this time around becuase it might be our last, so taking it alllll in and will try and enjoy every moment. 😎

@Muddysocks1 I definitely think it is a good sign that you concieved and I will keep everything crossed for you this month. I am so sorry about your chemical💗

@2Sugars2 the Q10 is mainly for better egg quality and it needs to be 600mg, best taken twice daily 300mg each time (for better absorption). Also, the best form of Q10 is Ubiquinol. It takes approximately 3 months to see results x

Girls, has anyone noticed what their LH is like after ovulation? I have randomly checked mine twice and I had a good 2nd line present even a week before AF. it was not as dark as possitive but it was still there. Is this normal? I am so confused. Never had to do any if this with my firstborn 😔

Midnight00 · 18/04/2025 17:19

Hi, hopping over from the April thread as AF reared her ugly head this morning.
I’m going in to cycle six TTC#2, my son is 18 months old.
Had standard blood tests done by GP and it’s my prolactin which slightly elevated which isn’t great. DH had his tests this week so fingers crossed May will be our month!

BerrieSweet · 18/04/2025 18:37

When should you begin with baby aspirin? Is CD 12 too late? I will probably ovulate CD 13/14

my LH usually drops right down after ovulation, although I only track for a couple of days after peak usually, and sometimes randomly in the 2WW, so could be missing it being higher at points

@BerrieSweetideally from CD1 but it still helps if you start it now in readiness for implantation. Ive just ordered some but doubt we will even try this month due to being busy for easter in my fertile window/ no alone time at all! im due to ovulate in 2days so i should get a move on but im ok if we dont! gna start asap if we find the time to try x

2Sugars2 · 19/04/2025 09:22

@MayaB that's for the info about Coq10. I think I'm going to order some.

Hi everyone 👋🏼
wondered if anyone had any thoughts/advice/reassurance 😆
I seem to get EWCM starting on about CD11/CD12 but then not getting a LH positive until around CD17 - last month I had EWCM up until about CD19
is this normal? And would you start with DTD as soon as im seeing it or is this too early should I be waiting for closer to the LH peak?

Ive only started using premom this month and LH today was 0.28 so saying its still very low - CD11 and ewcm has started

YKM2829 · 19/04/2025 19:53

Tww as of now out me around 3rd May testing 🤞

My understanding is EWCM/fertile mucus is present for a while before, because sperm can then survive until ovulation. Hence fertile window can be 5 days before ovulation. I think the more the better! I get it 3-5 days before OPK peak, but mine is quite scant. Sounds like yours is good! The advice is to go for it whenever you have EWCM. If you’re on Instagram, Katy on this account talks a lot about mucus: https://www.instagram.com/reflex_east?igsh=MW9uNWdhMGtobHd2eQ==

@ThisZippyViewerthat sounds spot on! you want EWCM during the whole time you are fertile as opposed to just when your ovulating as sperm can live upto 5days so actually thats spot on- having it from CD12-CD19 gives you five days before ovulation and 48hours after - sounds very healthy!

mumtrovert · 20/04/2025 15:56

Hi! Can I join??

I have a FET next month, probably around the last week of May (I think!), due to start AF around the 4th May. This is my first FET.. we were very lucky to have a successful fresh transfer after IVF in 2022. So we’re ready to try again now with one of our frozen embys.
The FB group that transpired from the last Mumsnet TTC group is still active & was so crucial to me in those early days and even now! Hoping to create another lasting bond with you ladies again ♥️ wishing us all SO much luck!

Feeling very anxious this time around as I know we were so lucky last time & feel like I have set such low expectations now.

MayaB · 20/04/2025 16:12

@mumtrovert how exciting! I am in the IVF UK Facebook group and the ladies there seem to have much higher success rate with frozen transfers, so I really do think you have a good chance again. Please keep is posted and try not to stress 🤗

Girls, I am now officially in my 2WW (providing I've tracked my ovulation correctly). AF due around May the 3rd. I don't tend to test early. In fact I only test if my period is late (which never really happens) but I might test early this time to see if it makes it easier. I just hate seeing negative tests 😢I don't know what to do anymore. Do you find it easier if you test early and see a negative? I simply wait for AF and hold on to the hope for a little longer....
