Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

Hello! I will join! I am going to start TTC number 2 in May. I'm really sorry about your chemical - if it makes you feel hopeful, I conceived my DS in Jan 2023 after a chemical in Dec 22, no period in between (and had a great pregnancy, obviously was quite nervous at the beginning though)
He's nearly 19 months now and thought I was going to want to try for #2 earlier but I hadn't really felt ready really but excited/a bit nervous now. I am 35 later this year so know I'm going to feel a bit panicked if not pregnant by that point.
Would this be your first?

2Sugars2 · 17/04/2025 09:34

Thanks for setting this up @Muddysocks1 I'm sorry to hear about the chemical. My AF arrived today so I am officially 'out'. What is the strength of the baby aspirin you take? I have read about Coq10 also but again, I'm unsure what strength to take. At the minute I am just taking folic and Vit D so I was looking at adding to the supplements this month.

Hi
I am likely to be skipping April. I’m ovulating over the weekend but due to Easter holidays and various other plans we probably won’t have chance to have sex in the fertile window.

I don’t mind though as I’m going for a relaxed and carefree approach over summer. I just want to have a good one with some fun sex and hopefully get a surprise BFP.

I’m 35 so felt the pressure of that but decided it won’t do me any favours.

Thank you - yes this will be my first, but that gives me hope! I’ve read you’re more fertile after a chemical, but I’m not sure if that still true when you struggled to conceive originally. But we’ll see!
Good luck to you 🤞🏻

Hi ladies.
I'm due to ovulate next week so would find out in May. Most people on April thread seem to already be in TWW so thought i'd join you all here.
We're on to cycle 8 TTC our first, I also tried Aspirin(75mg) last month and it's the most "normal" AF has been since coming off the pill two years ago so hoping that is a good sign.
What strength L-arginine do you take @Muddysocks1? I was thinking of giving it a go this month!

So I’m taking 75mg aspirin, plus Coq10 (I read 400mg advised but think I’m taking 200 a day as it’s pricey!), vitamin D, B6, vitamin C, iron. I was taking vitamin E but read you shouldn’t take that alongside aspirin. Plus Proceive parental. Going all out but it’s worth a go!
Also trying with diet to eat lots of fibre and protein, eat regularly to maintain blood sugar, limit caffeine and barely drinking alcohol.

That’s good! This is my first bleed/period since aspirin and it’s more red/bit more substantial (mine are usually so light) but I’m not sure if that’s the supplements, or just because I got almost to 5 weeks so the lining had grown more.

Hi, can I please join. We are going to start trying for my 3rd next month. I came off the pill a couple weeks ago and think I have just recently ovulated so if I'm right my cycle will be starting end April beginning May. I have a nearly 8 and nearly 2 year old already. I'm 40 now though so hoping this doesn't impact things too much

That is a great approach. If it helps I was 37 when I conceived my little boy who is now nearly 2. I was a bit worried being older but it was fine

2Sugars2 · 17/04/2025 10:54

@Muddysocks1 thanks so much for sharing the info about the supplements, I feel like I need to up my game this cycle so I'm going to get ordering!

I think I’ve gone a bit mad, but thought it was worth a try! I read It Starts with The Egg which gave most the recommendations ☺️

I’ll join! We’re going on holiday end of May so will start then (as I want to enjoy the free bar…).

this will be our second, our first is 16 months. Slightly terrified but excited

@Lgn90sounds in a fairly similar position!

Katfluff21 · 17/04/2025 15:10

Joining this one from the other group 🙂 similar to @LuckyDuck93im due to ovulate this month but would carry my cycle into May! 2nd month ttc baby number 3 after coming off birth control x

AlbatrossSociety · 17/04/2025 15:16

Hi all, just place marking on the new thread, seem to be a lot of people joining this month, how exciting!

This is Cycle 5 TTC #2 but my partner's first. I'm CD5, just waiting for AF to clear out and then I think we'll DTD EOTD again from CD7 to CD21. I'm away smack bang in the middle for 3 days which could well be right over ovulation 😭.

Iris2024 · 17/04/2025 15:19

Hello ladies ❤️

Ive come over from the April thread.

AF come today on my first month back TTC after a long break. We are both 41 and had 8 months break (was trying for 6 months prior) We have DD who is 6 years old and we conceived her first cycle so all this is so new to me. I’m so worried that it’s just not going to happen.

Thank you @Muddysocks1 for starting a new thread and as I’ve said I’m so sorry for your chemical 😞

So, I’m taking folic acid, 600mg COQ10 and Omega 3. What is the other supplements of aspirin and L-arginine?

Im due to ovulate end of April but AF due May so would rather move here with you ladies.

FigPig · 17/04/2025 15:20

Signing in. Entering month 5 ttc number 1. Chemical in month 3. Already getting a bit fed up with peeing on things and the disappointment. I’m 35 and slightly worried about my age. But I just wasn’t ready before! You can’t win.

Due to ovulate next Tuesday or Wednesday I think. At least my cycles are relatively short - about 27 days.

EmilyF88 · 17/04/2025 15:34

Hi everyone, coming over from the April thread!

TTC after a MC in March ❤️ xxx

Aw you're trying for baby number 3 too 😀

Katfluff21 · 17/04/2025 15:47

@Bumblebee1984yes! Something we have been talking about for almost a year and as I'm almost 37 (husband is 31) we thought we would go for it! It's great to have the support on here 😁

Bumblebee1984 · 17/04/2025 15:48

@FigPig I'm like you with quite short cycles around 26/27 days. Or they used to be. I have been on the pill since having my son 2 years ago so this is first month of a natural cycle since before conceiving him. I definitely prefer the shorter cycles when ttc

Bumblebee1984 · 17/04/2025 15:49

@Katfluff21 this will be my 3rd but my partner's second. How old are your other 2?

TheSparklyAzureJoker · 17/04/2025 16:42

Hey everyone. First time posting, 16 months TTC for our 1st (aged 28 + 29). Currently on CD3.

I haven't seen a positive test at all so far, had my bloods done in January this year and I'm all fine, maybe testosterone a little higher than normal. We collect my husband's SA results this afternoon.

Wishing everyone the best of luck this month. 😊

peanutForever · 17/04/2025 16:51

Hey ladies (espesh those from april thread)

was due to start ttc no.2 in may but ive just had a consult with my dr who has said ive been off mj long enough to try this cycle - given it can take a while to get pregnant (they recommend 2months off mj but its been two cycles/7.5w so they have said its fine to try)

think if we have time to DTD i will give it a go this month currently CD13 and dont ovulate till CD16 but we are sooo busy over easter am thinking if i can squeeze a BD in i shall give it a go!
