Did you ovulate on 2nd April? Christmas Day due date!

Eeek I've fucked up. Don't usually ovulate until around CD20, so thought I was good to go ahead and TTC this month (yes I realise a potential baby due on 31st Dec or something could come on Christmas Day anyway but it didn't seem as risky).

But I ovulated on CD13, and now if I'm pregnant it'll be due on Christmas Day.
I'm certain that this will be the month, precisely because I really don't want a Christmas Day baby.

Join me for the two week wait if you have screwed up too!

Period arrived this morning as I expected, so I'm out!
How's everyone else getting on? Any testers today?

Mine arrived this morning too @GrizzlyTheBear - hey ho. I am dissapointed but onwards and upwards! No 2025 christmas baby for me :(

SureLook · 17/04/2025 12:53

@GrizzlyTheBear @VanessaShanessaJenkins99 sorry to hear AF has arrived. Onwards and upwards!

HopefulCove · 17/04/2025 13:21

@GrizzlyTheBear@VanessaShanessaJenkins99will you be trying again next month? I’m 10DPO and just know in my gut that this isn’t our month 😔I’m definitely going to stop testing now and just wait for AF to show. X

HopefulCove · 17/04/2025 13:33

@SureLookare you actively TTC at the moment too? 🙂

SureLook · 17/04/2025 13:59

@HopefulCove I'm 7dpo (I think) TTC #2 after an MMC in January. I'm really gonna try hold out testing until AF is due. I'm not really too sure when that is cause last month's cycle was shorter and my app predicted ovulation about five days before I did. Early testing can be heartbreaking!

Sorry to hear about your MMC. I’ve had 2x and I’m pretty traumatised by both of them! I think I’m more stressed about TTC this time around (following MMC in Dec) because the past 3x pregnancies I’ve been lucky enough to fall preg first time on all of them! And this is 3rd month actually trying and it doesn’t seem to be happening as quickly so it’s making me paranoid that something has changed since the surgery or whatever.

Did you start trying again straight away following the MMC? How long did it take to get your cycle back etc? X

SureLook · 17/04/2025 16:49

@HopefulCove I'm very sorry you've had two MMCs. It is very traumatising. Physically I found it fine but mentally it was (still is) a whole other story. I'm the exact sameas you. The two times I've been pregnant we conceived first time trying. I'm on my second cycle TTC for #2.

The hospital recommended one period before we started to try again. I had my D&C on the 4th of February and got my period back on the 28th of February. I passed some myself on the 30th of January and I think my body reset then. We started trying in March then and I was devastated when I got my period. It came three days early and I thought it was implantation bleeding. It brought all the feelings of the MMC flooding back. What about you?x

GrizzlyTheBear · 17/04/2025 19:02

@HopefulCove I don't think you need to worry about anything being wrong. The odds of conceiving first time 3x in a row must be really rare. Healthy young women have around a 25% of conceiving in any given cycle, so you were really lucky! Four or five cycles (or more) is really normal. I've had four pregnancies and they've been on cycle 2, 2, 5, 1. All normal.
@SureLook I had a short luteal phase the first month after MMC too. It went back to normal the month after though, so I'm sure yours will too.
@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 sorry you're out too 😞 On to another month, sigh...
@Amilliondreamsisallitagonnatake how are you doing?

SureLook · 17/04/2025 19:11

Thanks @GrizzlyTheBear that's really helpful to know. I'm normally fairly regular so three days early was a shock for me. Hopefully things have settled now 🤞🏻

Clara202 · 17/04/2025 20:05

Day 14 BFN still and still no AF. Supposed to have a Hycosy next week but that was dependent on AF arriving so……?

HopefulCove · 18/04/2025 12:24

Hey everyone! Definitely counting myself out this cycle. When is everyone next ovulating? :) is everyone trying again next month?

SureLook · 18/04/2025 13:26

@Clara202 I'm not too sure. Maybe ring the clinic you're attending and see what they say?

@HopefulCove I'm still waiting but I will be trying again next month if AF shows 🤞🏻

HopefulCove · 18/04/2025 13:43

@SureLook do you have many symptoms!?

SureLook · 18/04/2025 14:27

@HopefulCove I'm trying not to symptom spot this time cause I had myself convinced last month and I was so disappointed. Also, I think we can make a bigger deal out of symptoms that might just be indigestion or something like that 😂 are you going to be trying again?

GrizzlyTheBear · 18/04/2025 21:52

@HopefulCove I'm definitely trying again. I'll be ovulating around 1st May I guess. What about you (if you're not pregnant this cycle)?
@Clara202 do you mean you were 14dpo yesterday? How long is your luteal phase normally?

OP posts:
Clara202 · 18/04/2025 22:12

I will be trying again, and trying and trying! 🥲

@GrizzlyTheBear ‘normally’ doesn’t seem to apply to me. My luteal phase doesn’t seem to have a pattern.

I’m out too, AF came this morning. I’m disappointed but I’ll be trying again next month. Fingers crossed for January babies for all of us trying 🤞

SureLook · 19/04/2025 15:53

Sorry to hear AF has arrived @Onwardsandupwards2025 onto the next month 🤞🏻

Miffy1994 · 19/04/2025 16:09

Sorry to hear so many people’s AFs have arrived. Out here too, no Xmas baby and have to skip next month as I’ve got eye surgery (which I really hoped I wasn’t going to make 😔)
Very reassuring to hear that other pregnancies have taken different lengths of time to conceive. I only have the one experience with DD and she was a second try so I’m really starting to get a bit worried now we’ll be onto month 6.

SureLook · 19/04/2025 16:45

@Miffy1994 sorry to hear you're out too. I know what you mean about feeling worried. I conceived twice before on my first time. But I've accepted now that it might just take longer and there's steps to follow if it doesn't happen.

icecreamcrackers · 19/04/2025 16:55

Got my positive this morning estimate due date to be 28th December

flipflopflew · 19/04/2025 17:24

Hi everyone, I've been lurking on here but decided to test this morning with an out of date pregnant test I found in the back of the cupboard. Very, very faint positive. I ovulated on April 2nd so Christmas Day due date pending... 🙈 I had better buy some in date tests hadn't I.

SureLook · 19/04/2025 19:18

@icecreamcrackers congratulations, great news!

Tentative congratulations @flipflopflew I'd definitely get new tests, just to be sure 🤞🏻

Oh gosh that's very varied isn't it. Do you track with BBT so you're sure of O date? If so that does seem very difficult for you. Do you know what causes the changing length of your LP?

Ordered some from Amazon so I shall await their arrival and go from there if AF doesn't arrive in the meantime
