Hi everyone, I was hoping to start a nice friendly supportive and sensitive thread. Maybe for those ttc for a while or after losses or just finding things difficult with ttc in general. I love to read others have had bfp's as it gives me hope, but have been finding some threads with alot of positive test pictures posted quite difficult.
Hoping to find others looking for the same as it's lovely to have a place to rant, feel sad, feel happy, get advice, or just obsess without judgement 🙂

I am 36, started ttc 2 years ago, had 2 mmc, and have now been ttc for 14 months since the last one without success. Currently on cd14 on a "not tracking"cycle. x

@Ladyinpink1 I usually get ewcm on CD10 or latest CD11 morning and ovulate the next day. If I ovulated any later, I've likely missed my window as only managed to DTD CD 10 and 11. Oh well, I'm telling myself I'm not in with a chance this month so I'm not as disappointed.
How are you finding tracking this month?

Hi @Kateeeeeeee sorry to hear you're having a tough time, TTC is draining, especially when it doesn't go to plan. I hate the whole, "most couples will get pregnant within a year" thing. Thanks NHS, but a whole year of TTC is just pure stress!
32 is a great age and you still have time to have a big family!
Are you tracking your cycles?

I love the idea of this thread! Everyone defines TTC for a „long time” differently I guess, and some people may think that me being on cycle 8 is not THAT long, it feels like an eternity to me and has been a huge rollercoaster so far.

I am 32, thought to be at a great age to try for my first, and expected to get pregnant super quickly because I always had great, regular cycles yet here I am, on cycle 8 already, in disbelief.

I have gone to have fertility investigations early and already discovered a few months ago that there might be issues which massively bring me down and I am having a really hard time right now. Now I envy those who can do minor treatments like ovulation induction and get pregnant easily…
After discovering an endmetrioma cyst which may suggest endometriosis, my world came crashing down. I always thought this is the last condition I could possibly ever have!
My husband’s results were very good but his morphology was very low, again shocked me massively due to our healthy lifestyle, supplements etc.

Now I am just praying that we can still get pregnant naturally, however long that may take. My biggest dream was always to have a big family so this is incredibly hard for me. I guess I am just massively worried that it might never happen to us.
I wasn’t sure if I could post this because I find it so hard, but I think it is important to spread awareness since these conditions are so common, even despite having no symptoms like me, and investigating early is going to (hopefully) save us time. Hopefully those of you who have been try for even longer have at least managed to rule out this terrible condition.

I am really in need of positive stories, encouragement and positivity in general. I regularly have mental breakdowns now some days, which obviously won’t help with fertility. Any positive words would be so helpful and hope we can all support each other 🙏

I didn’t realise you could have endometriosis with no symptoms!! I think 8 months is a long time too, I’ve been trying for no2 since September and it already feels a lifetime.

I’m doing so badly with taking my vitamins🥲 at the end of the day I can’t remember if I took them that morning so I don’t want to take them again just in case 🤣 the ewcm is still here, I keep thinking it might be near peak now but I tested earlier before going out and it was 0.1🙄

Ladyinpink1 · 18/12/2024 19:41

@Kateeeeeeee Hi, welcone and i'm sorry you are struggling. I think when you want something so badly and have no control over it, it's really tough isn't it.
Do you have an appointment to go back to see if it is endometriosis or is it something you have to wait longer to find out ? Hoping for you that you get good news and the cyst was just a one off and that you don't have it.
That's great news about your dh's count too. I think you have a great chance of having that big family sooner rather than later 💗 x

@Vanilla90 with your cycles being regular then I bet you did ovulate as usual and covered the time well. It is so tough not knowing though isn't it. How long will your cycle last? I am good with doing the testing except I am now going to work not to think about or track what dpo I am or I start driving myself crazy. I feel hopeful because we have been really relaxed with being off work and I have worked hard not to get stressed this week, but at the same time I feel like it's just not going to happen after this amount of time... ahhh such a constant rolercoaster isn't it x

What about getting a pill mill you can leave beside the kettle then you will remember and know what you have taken @BGxxx I have a nice one from amazon that has am and pm. I put mine in am and dh in pm and we rarely forget now x

Hello xxx I've been really quiet on here as i was getting a little (a lot) obsessive but just wanted to say @Kateeeeeeee a good friend has endo and got pregnant fairy easily (within six months I think) so don't give up. I think this was after the doctor she only had a very slim chance of conceiving. I'm due my period on Christmas Day. Feeling pretty down to be honest, also because I'm ill. Had to take a test yesterday so I could be prescribed some medication and of course it was negative as so early (and probably not prego). The doctor too kept telling me I wasn't pregnant, obviously not knowing how sensitive it was for me. So early, too early, but I can't help but feel sad :(

I defo need to get something! Do all of your partners take vitamins? I bought mine some when we ttc the first time and I think he took one and then never took them again🙄

Jess1066 · 19/12/2024 07:35

@BGxxx yes we have 2 monthly pill boxes from amazon one for mine and one for his! I also put a sticker on the day and as soon as we take them move it to the next day! We usually aim for dinner time so we don't forget! He's just on the wellman max tablets and I take the pregnacare ones!

Thank you so much for saying thay, I keep worrying that I might have left it too long! 🥲
yes I am tracking my cycles, they were always regular so I was always told that I am in great health and should conceive easily. I did use to have quite low progesterone for at least my first 4-5 months of trying, which is what definitely might have contributed to not getting pregnant. I was worried this is a permanent problem for me but the last 2 months I had really good progesterone levels which made me so happy, that’s always a small win on the journey, isn’t it!
Hope they will be good this month too but I worry that I might have put too much stress on my body this follicular phase with dramatising, crying more than usual etc 😅 and now I regret it since obviously it doesn’t help my cycles! I made a conscious decision to be more positive now 🙏

Thank you so much for your positive words and encouragement 🙏 I don’t have any other appointments planned so far because it’s impossible to diagnose unless someone does a laparoscopy which obviously isn’t that simple. My gynaecologist doesn’t think this is a problem at all and says I should get pregnant no problem… it’s nice to hear that, however he is obviously also unable to tell whether I have endo or not so I feel like I can’t fully trust his opinion. It’s a really tricky one. I am working hard on reducing the cyst, or having it disappear (hopefully) on its own. For some people it is possible, I read great stories on facebook groups and other forums.

Thanks so much for saying that! Luckily that’s true, many with endo seem to get pregnant easily even though their doctor says it will be difficult…. Strangely for me, I was told I should have no problem getting pregnant and yet here I am, struggling…. I wish it was the other way round like in your friend’s case. I think it also depends on how severe the disease is, which is obviously impossible to tell without an operation.
But as I mentioned above in another reply, what makes me feel a bit more positive is that my issue with low progesterone in my first 4-5 cycles might have had a big impact too. Now that my progesterone has been great in the last 2 cycles, let’s hope it stays that way as this will definitely increase chances 🙏

Ladyinpink1 · 19/12/2024 18:11

I'm sorry @ToysRus56 the negative tests are tough no matter what aren't they. The thought of a other cycle. Hope your day today went a little better x

Yes my dh takes vitamins but only because I take them out of the pill mills every day and put them out for him... he would never take them on his own @BGxxx This is ours in the picture x

Figtree11 · 20/12/2024 17:40

Hope you are all ok. Thanks for checking in @Ladyinpink1 Been diagnosed with PCOS today so starting on metformin on Monday. Been pre warned of some not so pleasant side effects.
Really hoping it will help me ovulate more regularly & help avoid miscarriage

@BGxxx hope your tests continue to get darker

@Kateeeeeeee sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. I’m on month 17 of TTC and finding Christmas a difficult time

Oh that looks good!! I can’t remember if I’ve taken them today again so I must get something!

@Figtree11 I think I’ve had peak today, 1.45 in Premom I’ve never had anything as high as that so fingers crossed I will actually ovulate

I’m still in shock🤣🤣 even if I don’t concieve at least my body is trying to to ovulate now, I was getting worried before this period that something was wrong

Vanilla90 · 20/12/2024 21:32

@Figtree11 at least you have some answers. It's good that they can give you medication to help. Has AF arrived for you yet? How you feeling about it all?

@Ladyinpink1 My cycle is usually 30 days, so AF due around 3rd Jan. What about you?
I want to enjoy Christmas and try not to test early.
It took a similar amount of time for you to conceive last time, so I'm sure it will happen again! Hopefully the reflexology and your stress free week will help to fertilise your extra special Christmas egg! 🤣
It really is a rollercoaster. I need to get pregnant so I can't get off this ride 😂

@Jess1066 how's the TTW going for you? Are you tempted to test yet?

@ToysRus56 hope you are feeling a bit better. Seeing a BFN is always so disheartening. Sending big hugs!

@Kateeeeeeee don't be so hard on yourself for feeling stressed and upset. I think it's perfectly normal to feel that way. It's hard to stay positive sometimes. Hope you're feeling a bit more optimistic Smile

BGxxx · 20/12/2024 21:41

@Vanilla90 I think I’ll be due around then too, not sure how long my luteal phase will be though, hopefully not too short

Jess1066 · 20/12/2024 22:18

@Vanilla90 it's going okay, I tested yesterday which would have been 9 DPO, wasn't an early response or anything but it was a BFN! Don't think this is the month! Everything has disappeared symptom wise and temps are only 36.6-36.7 which is low compared to the BFP in September which was around 36.8-36.9! Not due AF until Sunday so won't do another test unless it doesn't show by after Christmas! I think all I'll have for Christmas this year is a sore throat which I've just come down with the past two days! 😂

Figtree11 · 20/12/2024 22:45

@Vanilla90 I’ve been feeling pretty low today tbh. Feel like I should be looking for the positives but struggling to right now. Maybe in a few days I’ll feel better. Still no AF, not had one since October now

@BGxxx oh fab, sounds very promising

Did they mention anything about having the medication to force a period so you can start trying again? Or is that what the metaformin is for? It must be so frustrating waiting!

Figtree11 · 21/12/2024 08:05

@BGxxx yeah the metformin is meant to make periods more regular so you ovulate each month. And I think it is also then meant to help prevent miscarriages.
Sounds like it has bad side effects, so feeling a bit apprehensive!

Have you tried myo inositol before? Apparently it works in a similar way to metformin but is natural and no side effects. I heard you should take around 4g daily.

I haven’t no, but just had a read up about it & might give it a go. Wasn’t sure about taking it alongside metformin but seems there’s no issue in doing so. Thank you

Well AF decided to make an early appearance! We have to skip out January as I'm having a medical procedure to remove the polyp so next tww for us will be February!
