Hi everyone, I was hoping to start a nice friendly supportive and sensitive thread. Maybe for those ttc for a while or after losses or just finding things difficult with ttc in general. I love to read others have had bfp's as it gives me hope, but have been finding some threads with alot of positive test pictures posted quite difficult.
Hoping to find others looking for the same as it's lovely to have a place to rant, feel sad, feel happy, get advice, or just obsess without judgement 🙂

I am 36, started ttc 2 years ago, had 2 mmc, and have now been ttc for 14 months since the last one without success. Currently on cd14 on a "not tracking"cycle. x

@Marvelftw my 2nd, my little one is nearly 18 months. I ideally would like 2 children closeish in age and a gap for a third but it’s probably not going to work out like that!

I got a positive opk yesterday morning so likely will ovulate today so only 2 days late in the end.

@BGxxx aw no, sorry your partner was away. Hoping now next ovulation will cone around faster. x

Sorry your period arrived @Figtree11 , but also yay that it arrived, sounds like the medication is helping make things more normal and hopefully ovulation will be soon after 🙂 How have you been feeling with side effects now? x

@Vanilla90 Yes I think either the new supplement or else stopping the gazillion I was taking lol. Did you see about getting an early scan booked or will you wait a little bit? x

Sorry things are still so confusing @CabbageFan hope you get a definite answer soon so that you aren't stuck in limbo. Will you go to see the GP about your symptoms? x

Sorry you are feeling so down @Marvelftw it is so hard each month to not be pregnant. How are you feeling today? x

@carolinep3 it's so frustrating and sad when you get doing things right and it still doesn't work out. The appointment sounds good. I think it's good to have a plan. Helps keep you positive x

@Ladyinpink1 ahh good news you weren’t too late! The only good thing about my short luteal phase is that I will be on to my next cycle soon, I’m either 1/2dpo and last cycle it was only 5 days so not got long to wait 🤣I found this month the ewcm was gone on the day I had a peak test rather than sticking around after, anyone else had that??

@Ladyinpink1 Aw thank you for you kind message! Yeah I’m alright thanks. Was really upset yesterday but ended up speaking to a friend who recently gave birth who was telling me that it took her a while to conceive too and it was just nice being able to speak to someone who had similar experiences/feelings to me. So feeling a lot more positive and upbeat today even though these early cramps have been driving me crazy today 😂

@Ladyinpink1 Good luck on your ovulation!
And yes, I've given myself a deadline for next monday. If I haven't either started my periods or gotten a positive pregnancy test I'll call thr doctor. I'll be 14 days late on monday according to my average cycle length over the recent months. Perhaps that's long enough for them to have some concern 🤷‍♀️

@BGxxx I think they say the days before is the most fertile time so maybe that was your body producing it at the best time. x

I still have hope this cycle, not sure why it hasn't dissapeared after so long lol but really from next cycle onwards I think I will be more hopeful because all my healthy eating and supplements will be helping more then and dh has stuck to eating the meals too and i have been walking more.
Although how time consuming is it making everything homemade 🧐. Did anyone else start being good in January? x

@Ladyinpink1 yay for being positive, I definitely think supplements and healthy eating will have an impact. I’ve seen so many ladies say that on tiktok once they changed their diet and took good supplements they conceived!

@CabbageFan I’ve heard the gp doesn’t think it’s a concern until you’ve missed 2 or more periods, although that might just be where I live! It’s a worth a call anyway

@BGxxx I've heard that too, but since I've had similar symptoms before (though in a little bit different situation) and had a miscarriage within the last 6 months, I'm hopeful they'll be more willing to hear my concerns.
But yeah, it sucks that medical providers often don't want to listen women when we first get concerned. Happens way too often that the problem's gotten severe and needs more intensive and expensive treatment (or in the worst case it's too late to do anything) when we're finally listened to. As if we can't know our bodies!

@Ladyinpink1 did you manage to find the time to DTD?
Glad you're feeling optimistic. Hopefully the healthy eating and new vitamins do the trick 🤞
I am going to book a private scan for 27th Jan as I should be 8 weeks and I read that chances of a mc drop a lot then to under 5%. If I was to have a scan now, it would just show that everything is okay for now, but I'm worried that there is still a high risk of mc at the moment.

@BGxxx yes, I always found that ovulation day I was completely dry! I only had cm the couple of days leading up to ovulation.

@CabbageFan could you perhaps tell a little white lie and say it's been going on for a little longer than it has? Might give the GP a gentle push to have a look into it...

I think im 2dpo in that case then so will be expecting my period at the weekend. My little one is teething so feeding constantly which probably isn’t helpful

@CabbageFan @Marvelftw welcome to the thread, I’m a bit behind on messages so think I’ve missed quite a lot. I’m sorry you both have your own difficulties with this journey. It can be such a long and lonely road.

@Ladyinpink1 it’s always good to have hope, that’s what gets us through this month by month and why we put ourselves through the torture of TTC. That’s good ovulation has now come ☺️
I’m doing ok on the meds thanks, most evenings this week I’ve felt pretty sick though which is why I haven’t been on here much. Not feeling as bad today

@BGxxx i hope your luteal phase starts lengthening soon

@Vanilla90 i’m doing good thanks, the relief of having a proper period for the first time since October was huge. Trying to hold onto hope that the next cycle will be a more normal length. I hope you are getting on ok

In a month it will be a year since I last conceived 😔 Never thought when I started TTC 18 months ago I would have had 2 losses and now be a year since last getting pregnant. It sucks. Trying to think good thoughts for 2025 still though

@Figtree11 that sounds so tough😭 hopefully this period is a bit of a reset for your body and puts you in a good place for ttc next cycle!

Girls I am so confused. I just did a LH test for fun (lol I know) and it’s 1.62??? I have no ewcm so I don’t have a clue what’s going on! I’m guessing it’s the breastfeeding hormones making me not ovulate when I’m thinking!

I think the ovulation spotting last week might of been implantation instead? Now have no idea when I ovulated, I’m CD22. I’m guessing it was right after my period, I’m so shocked

@Vanilla90 @Marvelftw thank you! I’m still so surprised🤣 I’m going to get a digital this morning to show my partner, he’s back from being away today so I haven’t told him. I feel like now I know I definitely did have symptoms but I would of never guessed otherwise

So you will have a September due date too?

Tomorrow's my deadline for the GP call, but I'm not going to town before tomorrow, so I stopped by our local grocery store for a pregnancy test. They only had a cheap, notoriously unreliable brand so I thought I'd give it one try today past noon and another one tomorrow morning.
What do we think? I'm not sure if it's the faintest line ever or just a shadow. Trying to not get ahead of myself for the reasons mentioned above. It's currently cycle day 47 and I'm 13 days late. I added three images, two of the same one in colour and in b&w, and one b&w closeup.

@CabbageFan I'm not good at looking at those tests, I have line eyes, I will always think I can see a faint line!
Perhaps order a digital one?

I’ve had some spotting this morning, we had sex last night since he got back from being away so it could be that or the start of a mc as I’ve got cramping. I’ve never had a spontaneous mc before so not sure how long it would take to start? I did another test, the top is Friday and bottom today

I think I can see something on the colour photo
