Moving over from lurking on TTC Aug 2024, as AF just arrived yesterday. Anyone else joining?

@MyGardenDaisies the luteal phase usually stays the same length every month and is generally only the follicular phase that changes. I have only just worked this out as realised that my period is always on 15dpo. So depending on if you have other months data it may be worth seeing if you have a pattern to work out when your period is due. My cycles are anywhere from 29 to 35 days.
11dpo and BFN again so now I have used all my expensive tests up I am sitting and waiting for my period which is due on Friday.
@LS888 I think the problem is you here positive stories about people getting pregnant quickly after loss but my body is still a bit messed up from the loss. That's why I am now chucking money at expensive vitamins hoping it will help sort my cycles out

@Mummysparrow ahh I didn’t know that. Thank you! I don’t have other data, might have to scroll back to my first pregnancy as that’s the only other cycle I’ve ever tested ovulation.

I did another test this morning and it had a smudgy faint mark, but it’s such a smudge that I’m not convinced.

foukd buy another digital but I’ve spent a fortune on tests! Lesson not to test too early with the expensive stuff 😅

I’m pretty sure my bleeding is a period now rather than implantation bleeding - on to the next cycle! (I have been pretty sure before and turned out to be pregnant) Good luck for those will still waiting 🤞🏻

@EagerBiscuit thats the type of faint shadows I’ve been seeing a few times, but not sure 🤔 I’ve been inverting too, and with adjusted contrast etc. the line was more obvious

I’ve bought CB digital and asked husband to hide them till morning to test again with 1st wee

@Mummysparrow yes it seems like some people do conceive again quickly. Hopefully we will too. I think you do need time to process and mend - both physically and mentally. After my first mmc I wasn’t ready to try again for a few months.

@EagerBiscuit have you taken any more tests? I can’t see it I’m afraid. How many dpo are you?

Is this a line? Got this tonight with evening wee. The Test line looks as wide as the Control line, just still very faint

I think I can see a faint line! Try again first thing in the morning if you have another test , fingers crossed

completely negative this morning . :(
I am officially late on my period and these are apparently sensitive tests, so I’ll take the faint lines and smudges as evaporation or just indents.

I just want my period to start now.

hope you don't mind me joining the thread and asking for advice

My last period was 4th August (TTC for 13 months, I have PCOS and suffered with irregular periods for a while but for the last year I've had a regular 32 day cycle ovulating on cd17/18.)

I had a positive OPK on CD17 and we DTD once. AF didn't arrive and I took pregnancy tests which were all negative. We didn't DTD for another 3 weeks due to a family bereavement.

I randomly tested this morning with Internet cheapies and got 2x faint lines. Is this even possible having negative tests up until now or is likely they are evaps?

Test again this afternoon, my first morning wee is never as strong as my afternoon/2nd one x

I would have thought they would be much stronger by now? If ovulation was that long ago? Is there any chance you've ovulated much later? X

This is my thought exactly, there's every possibility I ovulated later. But didn't DTD in that time frame 😫 This is why I'm thinking it may be an evap/false positive

@Youremylobster86 did they appear in the time frame? They look pretty pink if it is an Evap. Can you get a digi to try? Xx

@heartheart89 I tested with 2 cheap strips and 1 Clear Blue digital with weeks indicator.
I ovulated on the 6th (or latest on 8th, as the CB Digital OPK shows peak for 48h) , so would have thought at this point if I was pregnant, the levels would be 10+ for the pregnancy test to pick up.

I have a few strips left so might as well test until period arrives.
I presume it’s late as I’ve had an illness this month and some stress.

Yes within 5 minutes. I'll grab another test this morning, my body does weird things so wouldn't be surprised either way 🤣

I'm not sure how many DPO. Ive had a month off using OPKs. My cycles have varied the last few months around 35-37 days. I'm cycle day 29 so I know I'm testing too early if I base it on when AF is due to arrive.
Silly of me really 🙈

Hi everyone, I tested today at 14dpo and it’s definitely darker. I’m going to chalk it up to the brand of tests just showing lighter as I’ve had positives since 10dpo. Feeling better now I’ve seen the line darken a bit and had 2 positive digitals

Just a random question, out of interest really. Do you think it’s possible I ovulated 2 days later than Natural Cycles predicted? I did have a rise, but then a dip 2 days later and another rise? I’m just wondering as it would explain why my tests have been lighter. It would make me 12dpo today instead of 14

edited to add: I also had a UTI around these days that I needed antibiotics for, so I wonder if they made my temp artificially higher early? Or delayed ovulation a day or 2?
