I'd love to join too please! I'm 31 and me and DH are planning on starting TTC for our first baby in September! I've still got my Aug period to go (end of the month) and then we'll start trying - am very excited!

I started a new job at the end of April and am a bit concerned about it happening straight away but also I just have no idea how long it might take and I don't want to wait any longer... I have examples of friends for whom it happened first time and then others who sadly really struggled. It's also really on my mind this week as two of my friends both had miscarriages last week and another has been told she probably cannot have children due to her medical treatment. Just very aware at the moment of how tricky the journey can be.

Excited to join you all on this journey!

I'm in an almost exactly the same situation. I'm 30, started a new job in April and have been waiting to start trying so that I qualify for maternity benefits!!

We had our first TTC cycle last month and didn't get pregnant and although I'm like logically that makes total sense given probability I'm also like "but whyyy"! Trying to let go more this month because I'm aware it could take months!

Also have friends who it's taken variable amounts of time to get pregnant!

Oh wow, very similar! It's nice to be on this journey with someone who knows what it's like - really hoping for the best for you!

@Bobbilennard I wouldn't worry too much about your egg count right now, they don't tend to test that as it's not a marker of fertility it's a marker of time. That's what my consultant said to me, my AMH is on the lower side at 7.5 and probs lower now but he said that doesn't matter and he wouldn't normally test it. He just said as long as you ovulate and have regular periods I shouldn't worry and that my age is more important because of egg quality. I have since learnt that they like it above 5. It's all a mindfield isn't it. As long as you ovulate there a chance every single month and that's what I hold on to x

Angie2018 · 19/08/2024 17:47

@FirstbabyTTC31 thank you and you!

Nicola1988 · 20/08/2024 12:48

Coming over from the august thread. This will be cycle number 9 for me. Day 1 will be tomorrow (light spotting today which is normal for my cycle before heavier bleeding comes on day 27) xx

This is so interesting! I took an AMH test when I was 27 and they said I had the average levels of a 25 year old but I don't remember what the number was. I'm 30 now and have only been trying for 1 month but I'm so curious what my AMH is now in comparison!

I'm just reserving my space 😅. Bfn again today however I don't think i even ovulated this cycle as my peak was abnormally low.
Good luck to everyone :)

Angie2018 · 21/08/2024 09:25

Think I've just had a chemical pregnancy. Super annoying but taking as a positive. Had implantation cramps and light spotting for a couple of days on and off from 11dpo, strange bowel movements and off food. Didn't test. Just thought I'd see how late I would be. I'm now 16/17dpo and have started to spot again very very lightly, my cervix is still high and squishy but some red blood there sorry TMI 😪 tested negative this morning but wish id tested a few days ago to catch it. Hopefully today is CD1 for me and I can move forward. It was the one and only time I had unprotected sex this month which was on ovulation day as we were going to try properly for this cycle. Hoping everyone has a good cycle this cycle. Scared to believe this may happen for us x

Nicola1988 · 21/08/2024 11:18

Just got results back from my day 21 and its confirmed ovualtion and that im releasing an egg. Im a bit surprised due to having very light and short periods since i started ttc back in jan. My partner is booked in for his SA next month.

myturnnext86 · 21/08/2024 11:29

Can I join please? Cycle number 11 :( CD6

Hey I have short 2-3 day periods and only day 1 and half of day two is heavy. I was told that as long as I ovulate it doesn't matter. That's amazing you are ovulating so there's a chance every month in that case. How long have you been TTC for? I had a really tough fertility journey with my ex a few years back and it's scarred me. He had really bad sperm. I'm now with a new partner and hope it won't take too long but we can never tell can we xx

Rrain · 21/08/2024 11:52

Hi 👋 I'll join as well as I know I'm out this month (BFNs). Cycle 2 and CD 1 should be around Saturday

MrsKurz · 21/08/2024 11:59

I’ll join! We’re on cycle 2 of TTC #2. Currently CD4.

last month I got a little crazy in the TWW, so I hope I can have a bit more chill this month 😂

it took us 4 months to conceive our first, and obviously I’m hoping it’s similar or less this time, but you never know do you. I’m using natural cycles and ovulation tests this time, hoping both together will give me good info

TTCIrish · 21/08/2024 20:45

@Kiwiburgh welcome!

@Angie2018 best of luck this cycle!

@myturnnext86 Im CD7!

@MrsKurz I also went a bit mad last month and I'm putting it down to my first ever month TTC in my life! I was thinking and dreaming about pregnancy pretty much constantly and I was so disappointed I wasn't pregnant but logically I know it's only 1 months trying and I shouldn't expect it at all lol!! I'm also doing ovulation tests and BBT using tempdrop!

Taviton · 22/08/2024 07:17

Hi I'll join 😊 Tested negative again this month, started spotting but still waiting for AF to turn up! I'll be going into cycle 7 next month. Still trying to conceive no1 after a miscarriage at the start of the year. I'm starting to feel like it'll never happen for us.

MrsKurz · 22/08/2024 08:50

@TTCIrish Ahhh yeah it's easy to get caught up in the first month! This is my 2nd baby and I still got too excited on the first month haha! I'm using Natural Cycles, only started on Day 1 of this cycle, so not much data yet, but I'm interested to see the patterns!

i'm on CD 11 and I'm 38, I know I deffo ovulated in July as confirmed by clinic, however, the GP did a blood test the month before and they said I hadn't ovulated :( . I'm kind of hoping the test was done on the wrong day.

That's fab you are ovulating !

so sorry to hear of your loss, I've been there myself.

I'm starting to feel that it's never going to happen too :( it's a horrible feeling.

Cycle 11 here x

Taviton · 22/08/2024 15:09

@myturnnext86 here's to hoping September will be a lucky month for both of us x

StressStress · 22/08/2024 15:37

Can I join you? 6 dpo today, period due at the end of August.
Deep feeling that I'm not pregnant: I'm never wrong!
So we're already looking ahead to September!

LS888 · 22/08/2024 17:15

Hi all, I would love to join everyone on the journey. I had a MMC in 2022 and had a D+C, my daughter in 2023, and another MMC in July 2024 which resulted in another D+C…

I’m on my period currently (first one after MMC) and will be ovulating when we are on holiday based on previous trends. Keeping everything crossed for everyone.

I’m 38 and feel very lucky to have our beautiful girl. But would really like another child to add to our family.

Hi ladies sorry to jump on the post I'm new here so please bare with!
I'm currently cd 30 usually a 27 day cycler. I don't know my exact ovulation due to going away with work but my opks were getting very strong around Cd16 and dtd everytime leading up then went away for work and dtd everyday cd20 onwards. I had very weird bleeding only on wiping from cd17 for 6 days finishing a week before AF due.

Fast forward to now since then I've had constant headaches everyday. Twinging but no pain and lower back ache above tail bone but could be due to work. I'm now 3 days late AF but testing bfn apart from 3 days ago a swear I saw a very faint line/shadow which shows more in person so will try to attach a pic. I have also been curious so tested opks which have no been positive since after due......never had this before so anyone with a similar experience would be much appreciated!
