Anyone about to go into an ovulation week?

Hey!

TTC our 2nd been putting it off for a while but this month I’m going to be actively trying and testing LH etc
reading other posts feels as though everyone is already in there TWW this Aug 😂 so looking for company, anyone whose still waiting for their ovulation week.

I only used BBT when falling pregnant with my first but haven’t being doing it as regularly as I did back then.
Ive been trying to take my temp the past couple of weeks and natural cycles predicting ovulation on Weds!
what’s everyone plan of attack? 😂 I’m going to use LH strips from tomorrow onwards and as soon as I get my peak start DTD! Very sceptical it’ll happen this month with it being the first official month of trying but we shall see!
Hoping for some company if anyone is at a similar stage in their cycle?

I should be ovulating Sat/Sun, this is only our 2nd month TTC for our 1st, trying and failing to stay relaxed 😂
I've been LH testing since the start of the week as its my first month using Easyathome strips, doesn't look like my LH levels are rising at all atm but Natural cycles and premom app say high fertility so just going to DTD in hope that something is going on😂

Hi I'm nervously contemplating ttc 2nd this month too! It's soon ovulation I'm not tracking though just going off dates. I had a blighted ovum last attempt so iv left it 2 cycles to get a bit of normality because that saga lasted 9 weeks!🙈 I'm wanting to chat to people even if I decide to delay it until next month

This is exciting! I found I was much more excited when trying for my first now I know what’s the come it’s more scary making the jump to have a 2nd 😂
but if it helps my LH strips don’t really show much until maybe a few days before.

So natural cycles for me is saying ovulation Tuesday so i have started the LH test only one a day and im the same no rise yet (as expected) but i plan to do LH test daily tomorrow & Sat then I’ll probably do twice on Sunday maybe 3 times then 3 times on Monday. Hopefully that will catch my peak!
I found that when I was really close to it if I didn’t do the LH at least 3 times a day I’d miss it.
I know it doesn’t make a difference missing it as long as you’re DTD, it’s just nice to see that you get your peak and you know it’s good to go! 😂

This has been me the past couple of months! 😂 just sort of seeing what happens round dates but not really doing much. This month though I’m on the ball with BBT & LH test.
At the start of the year I said we’d try around Aug (hoping for a gap in birthdays as my 1st is end of the year) and it’s come round so fast! 😂

I'm on our second cycle TTC baby #3. I'm not doing any tests or anything right now, just taking it kinda casually the first couple cycles and seeing what happens. Going off dates and sorta generally how I feel, and an app I've been using to track data, I think I should ovulate sometime this weekend though!

A blighted ovum is when your body thinks its pregnant but there was never an embryo it had dissolved at the start. So cruel because you go to your scan (luckily I did a private one 6 wks) and the gestation sac was empty! Anyway I'm casually taking it easy for now see what happens. I know what you mean more scared 🤣 after dd know what's to come.

Awww god that’s terrible, no wonder you’re taking it easy and just see what happens. Think it’s the right thing, don’t want to put to much pressure on yourself after it.

I’m defo in a more positive frame of mind about trying for a 2nd now than I was at the start of the year 😂 I’m excited now. I know the odds are against falling pregnant first month of trying but still feeling hopeful for this month! Let’s wait and see.
we were lucky last time it was our 2nd month I got pregnant. But then you start thinking about 2nd time infertility and all sorts 🤦🏼‍♀️
luckily I am more chilled this time! 😂

@LuckyDuck93 how’s your tests looking? I forgot today and just remembered one tonight and it’s certainly looking like we’re closer to peak! Not quite there but I expect either tomorrow or Monday! In the past I’ve had my peak then BBT confirmed ovulation 2 days later.

Iv decided to abstain this month at peak I want to try for next month instead. Iv got a bit on work wise and im not wanting my mind wandering while iv still got the control 🙈

Got my peak this morning! Just need to wait till OH is home now! I’m going to try DTD tonight rather than tomorrow I don’t want to miss ovulation!
@Itonlytakesone I get it, TWW can be a lot! I’d be glad of a distraction with work though 😂

That definitely looks close, similar to mine actually. Mine are finally starting to rise, I suspect probably peak tomorrow which is day 15, so all my worrying about no LH rise was for nothing 😂

So I'm probably going to wait until my next cycle in September but I thought I'd join! I fell first time with my son and I was using ovulation testing (the clearblue digital ones) so I plan to do the same again. I still have all the dates on my Flow app of when we DTD so it's useful to know which cycle days we did it to see if we can have success the first time again😆 good luck all!

we should really DTD tonight but I’ve been unwell all weekend and OH hungover today so we said we’ll try tomorrow and hope we catch it! 🤞🏻
I’m just sort of going with the flow, and hope for the best x

I’m very much trying to go with the flow too, this weekend I’ve been a lot more relaxed about it so hopefully that works!

Hey @CadoAvo I thought the same! Everyone seems to be already in their TWW for Aug and I haven’t even ovulated yet 😂

You defo got your peak yesterday! 🥰 You managed to dtd? I’ve got it in my head that we’re going to be to late now but we’ll try tomorrow and hopefully catch ovulation. My natural cycles predicts Tuesday ovulation and I think my peak looked like this morning so we’ll see! Just hope I feel better to be able to do it 😂

I haven’t had much EWMC this month which isn’t normally like me. I’m just going to see what happens and not get my hopes up this month

Yeah iv got company for next month then but I'll watch to see how the others get on this month or if any are joining us next month. Iv already been taking lots of vitamins etc but I just started on the pre conception pregnacare ones the man/woman ones my husband was like ok 🤣 they are quite big to swallow too

@Itonlytakesone ooh good point, I've only started taking Folic acid so far! I should probably take some multivits as I'm not always so good at eating what I should! Do you know roughly when your next cycle starts? CD1 should be around 7th Sep for me.

Get on Amazon order a 30 day pack. I'm about 2nd September if I'm working it out right just need to eat well and try to shift a few lbs to feel better for in a couple weeks time 🫠 zero motivation with the kids hols haha

Thanks 😀 I'm in a same sex marriage and using a known donor so we "did the deed" so to speak on Friday, yesterday and today.
I've had 2 early miscarriages this year since starting ttc in Jan so it's been a bit wild. I feel like knowing I can get pregnant must be a good thing, just need to figure out how to stay pregnant lol. This is the 2nd cycle trying since the last loss 🤞🏼

I think I ovulated Weds/Thurs last week... But my prediction was Saturday 🤷‍♀️
I was doing CB advanced ovulation sticks, and it's the first month doing my BBT through my galaxy ring.

Covered all bases anyway, dates wise🤭

You’ve covered all days! Perfect! I’m sorry about your miscarriages, so hard for you and your body to go through but as you said the positive you got pregnant 🥰 got everything crossed for you!

I tested again this morning and maybe my peak wasn’t yesterday 🤦🏼‍♀️ it’s a lot lot darker today! So that’s a positive cause there’s no way we could have done it last night, feel like I might be back in with a chance if we can muster the energy to get it done today 😂

Yes this is basically the same thing, but a samsung version. I've attached my chart from this morn (ignore the gaps, my 4yo hid my charging case and we went away😂) but yeah, literally don't have to do anything except wear it!

I had a solid smiley on the morning it detected the spike (15th)🤞 we did 12th, 14th &15th so hopefully all bases covered.

So much easier than the temping in the morning with a thermometer! Can see that dip then spike on your chart! I had my dip this morning so expecting spike tomorrow with ovulation predicted!
just need to make sure we do it tonight 😂
