Anyone about to go into an ovulation week?

Hey!

TTC our 2nd been putting it off for a while but this month I’m going to be actively trying and testing LH etc
reading other posts feels as though everyone is already in there TWW this Aug 😂 so looking for company, anyone whose still waiting for their ovulation week.

I only used BBT when falling pregnant with my first but haven’t being doing it as regularly as I did back then.
Ive been trying to take my temp the past couple of weeks and natural cycles predicting ovulation on Weds!
what’s everyone plan of attack? 😂 I’m going to use LH strips from tomorrow onwards and as soon as I get my peak start DTD! Very sceptical it’ll happen this month with it being the first official month of trying but we shall see!
Hoping for some company if anyone is at a similar stage in their cycle?

Iv still got pains/ lower abdomen full feeling. The hospital didn't want to see me in the end because I'm testing negative drs called me from hospital though & they think it's a bit of a dodgy stomach/bowel issue. I feel like it's gynae area but (what do I know😵‍💫).. guess I'll just have to see how I get on.

I'm approaching my first period after the chemical in the next two weeks so iv got this fear of impending doom that it's going to be painful & floor me😵‍💫 - what we go through as women is so much! Im also aware I tried in my fertile widow so this is on my mind too🫠I'll update.

@Itonlytakesone I say this all the time, I don't think men realise everything we have to go through mentally & physically! Hope the next two weeks goes quickly for you!
I think I had my peak yesterday, will test again tonight to be sure, then the long two weeks begins🙃

@Itonlytakesone really the things we go through they have no idea! I hope you get everything sorted with the pains and get it resolved.

I feel like I’ve defo ovulated got my peak on Tuesday and yesterday still felt good and energetic whereas today I’m so tired and eaten none stop! I defo feel that drop in oestrogen!
I’ll wait till NC confirms it but I recon I’m 1 DPO today. You’re not far behind @LuckyDuck93 !

@Itonlytakesone I’m sorry to hear you still don’t feel right after your chemical. I really hope things settle down soon and you’re not feeling too poorly. Fingers crossed for some happier news this month, keep us up to date x

@Mama09876 Yes today is either ovulation day or 1DPO, got my peak late wed night but temp still low so maybe ovulation is today, didn't manage to DTD yesterday but did Tues & Wed morning so hoping that should cover it if we manage today as well.
Trying our hardest not to make dtd feel forced but it's so difficult isnt it!

The pain got worse so I went to my gp they dip tested my urine they gave me antibiotics must have a uti. They are sending it off for testing. Hoping I feel better soon

HELPP!!!!! Girls I need your advice urgently I have no-one else to ask!!!!! I'm 6 weeks today and my best friend has just told me she's organised a surprise for my bday next week and to 'bring my swimmers'... I think this can only be a spa day?! I don't want to tell her I'm pregnant as not even my husband knows yet!!!!! He's away on a 3 week mountaineering trip with terrible phone signal and a shared room so no privacy to make a phone call - he won't be back until the Monday after next when I plan to give him the good news. We also agreed previously that we definitely wouldn't tell ANYONE until we are sure we're keeping the pregnancy as we have a high chance of passing on a genetic condition that has some pretty horrible consequences... we want it to be our decision to continue/or not and not have family and friends wading in with their oPiNiOns. So it's likely we won't be telling a soul until >14 weeks.
So far I've been have the odd sip of wine and an occasional coffee to throw people off the scent but I have no idea how I am going to get around this one!!!!! Helppppppp!!!!!!!

Hey @Pinkflamingo77 oo this is a tricky one! Are you worried about the jacuzzi? Cause the rest of the spa day you should be fine right? Maybe go in and then after a few mins say it’s to hot I feel a bit light headed I’m going to get out?

@Mama09876 i think it will probably be sauna, steam room and jacuzzi… all the things that increase your risk of miscarriage :(

@Pinkflamingo77 oh no, thats a tricky position to be in!
Can you say you’re not feeling well on the day so dont want to go in the sauna etc as the heat makes you feel worse?
Even if it triggers her suspicions hopefully she wont say anything to allow you the time to tell her when you’re ready!

Oh I hate being forced into positions like this🙈. It depends where you go because you can totally use a swimming pool and the relaxing chairs at the side ect. You could say you're on antibiotics that's always a good one with their 'side effects' say you'll go but won't be able to do everything' but then you might have a chance to rearrange for another time to buy yourself some time? ...Or just go dip in and out of each thing fast then drink a few sips of any fizz you might get passed and try to throw them off. I totally agree about telling no one it's not for anyone else right now but you and your husband.

Thanks so much everyone, I think feigning illness / lightheadedness is going to be the way to go. Such a tricky situation as I’m so grateful to my friend for wanting to organise a special day for us and feel so bad that I’m going to ruin it…

Definitely illness/ lightheaded ness way to go in your situation. They will understand later on when you can tell them your news.

Iv been working all weekend took the antibiotics which gave me a dodgy stomach, Looked at my results looks like it wasn't a uti after all still feel strange in my stomach so I think it's the period looming 🙈 I really hate what we have to go through and just carry on as normal when you just want to curl in a ball🫠

@Pinkflamingo77 I think iv had stomach flu gastroenteritis 🙈 its unfortunate that it was immediately after my chemical but I think I'm getting over it finally.

Tested approx 9dpo stark white but think I needed a month rest anyway after having both chemical followed by the bug there's only so much you can take so close together! @Pinkflamingo77 how did your situation go with your friends?

Also why is it that when you're going through a tough time everyone else's lives seem to look so perfect and you're drowning in your own 🙈🫠 just want to see a positive test but my hopes are fading

Hey @Itonlytakesone 9dpo is waaaay early, I was getting stark whites up until 18dpo so don’t let it get you down just yet!
Fortunately there was a big pool where we went (albeit freezing as outdoors) so I just pretended I was on a health kick and did loads of swimming, and just 5mins in jacuzzi and sauna to warm up in between lengths!

Sorry to hear life is getting you down at the moment. Hopefully you get some blue skies coming soon. In my experience the people who post the most on FB and Insta are the most unhappy 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Itonlytakesone I’m keeping everything crossed for you. If you want some light relief there’s a show on Channel 4 called save our sperm about celebs trying to increase their sperm count, it’s actually v insightful!
I had an early scan last week which showed embryo looking too small for dates, could be nothing or could be sign of an impending miscarriage so I’m bracing myself for the next scan at the end of this week. I’m bleeding a bit every day so preparing myself for the worst but hoping for the best.

How is everyone doing if anyone still has this thread. I'm on tww not hopeful only dtd once in fertile window near ovulation though at least

Sorry I did a read and run last week, I went through a medically managed miscarriage in the end so hoping to be back on the TTC bandwagon once monthly cycles are back etc. Hoping others on this group are having better luck! Wishing you all well :)

@Pinkflamingo77 oh no I’m so sorry! But understand completely. Well iv been through that myself awful. I’m not pregnant. Still wondering if I’m too old now it’s taking too long life gets in the way doesn’t it 😕
