I've started a new thread as the old one was full - hope everyone finds their way here OK.

cece · 18/04/2008 08:26

Morning everyone.

I am now CD 34 and still no af. Did another test this morning and another BFN. Think I might leave it till Sun now as I have been known to ocasionlly go to CD 36 before af arrives.

I hope it hurries up soon tbh otherwise next month I will be away with work when I am due to ov.

As for the asking when we will try again. I only get it from quite good friends. I think having 2 dcs already and being 41 puts some people off asking!

kazbeth congrats - that is great news! Fingers crossed for you...

Divedaisy at your boss - so insensitive. I think people just don't think...no excuse really though! I now find that I dread social situations with people who don't know about the mc. I am terrified that the conversation will turn to babies and 'when is it our turn' questions, causing me to say something I regret.

I am glad other people have found that members of their family 'ignore' the miscarriage. It makes me feel better to think that it is probably just awkwardness, as opposed to inconsideration...

elibumbum · 18/04/2008 09:56

Kaz congratulations. It is lovely to have some happy news on this thread and gives us all hope! Hope you have a very happy and healthy pregnancy.

quarkee well done for getting through the lunch.

prepg I could have written that last para in your post! The waiting drives me mad too! Strange thing is that I am patient in most other areas of life - just not when it comes to reproduction!

Now on the 2WW so the waiting continues!

I saw my consultant yesterday for my post-ERPC appt. He confirmed all was ok and fine to go ahead and ttc again (which we had already started on ).

cece · 18/04/2008 10:04

LOL

Just taken test out of bin [why oh why?]

It has a very faint line now! But it is 4 hours since I tested so it is an evaporation line. DH just shrugged his shoulders and said I don't think it counts.

Is this the fifth sign of madness?

ClairePO · 18/04/2008 10:10

yes it is cece but it's a completely acceptable sign of madness imho

So, test tomorrow with first wee, test later today after holding wee in for as long as possible or stick with original plan and test Sunday?

aquababe · 18/04/2008 10:20

divedaisy
you have just reminded me of my birthday when a friends boyfriend asked if we were thinking of having any more children I replied "yes I'd love more, infact we are trying but I had two miscarriages before christmas so it's just not that easy"

poor guy He just didn't know how to respond to that and I don't think he'll ever ask another woman again
I hadn't even told my friend

cece
hmm routing around bins might just be that fifth sign but i'll be there in a few weeks time

Kaz Congratulations!!!

mistlethrush · 18/04/2008 19:37

Kaz congratulations - lots of sticky thoughts.

*Aquababe - I've tried that approach - leaves some people a bit and !!!

scully · 19/04/2008 00:02

Congrats Kaz, wonderful news. You've given me hope, I have a draw full of opk's and m/c is just about finished. Went back to hospital yesterday to see consultant, they took more blood yesterday and some more next Tues, plus I'll have a scan next Tues to make sure m/c was complete. And hopefully that should be it. They've been thorough though, can't complain about that.
I'm looking forward to an uneventful weekend, although it is dd1's birthday party tomorrow, so don't like my chances Seeing the acupuncturist this afternoon, looking forward to some 'me time'.
Hi to everyone

cece · 19/04/2008 07:29

Hi everyone,

scully it is my DDs party tomorrow as well. For some strange reason I decided to have it at the house so now got loads of housework to do! Plus it is forecast to rain - was sort of relying in chucking them out in the garden to play for a bit! Now have to have a plan B in case they can't fo out.

I am now on CD 35. No af. Still getting BFN. Wish af would just come now! Getting a bit fed up with waiting.

scully · 19/04/2008 13:59

Good luck with the party Cece, we have showers forecast here as well, I am so glad I don't have to find space for 18 6yr olds inside my house
I had thought weeks ago that I would either be almost 12wks pregnant and not up to organsing a party at home, or m/c and not up to it, either way, McDonalds has made my life a whole lot easier
Good luck with the bfb too.
Time for bed here 11pm, hope you're all having a nice Saturday

cece · 19/04/2008 15:49

wel I should be 38 weeks pg but instead I have 12 7 year olds in my house ...

quarkee · 19/04/2008 17:34

Cece did you survive it??!!

quarkee · 19/04/2008 17:35

the party I mean...

bunnyinheadlights · 19/04/2008 18:56

mollie sorry to see you go - hope you take the time to get better and you are always welcome back here to vent we will miss you

kaz congrats on the fab news! lots of sticky thoughts.

cece you could be pg! i did that with my last pg - got a bfn and then fished it out of the bin and it was a faint line. tested again two days later and BFP! fingers crossed for you.

cece · 19/04/2008 20:32

Party tomorrow. have spent day getting things ready - art and craft. [faints] what on earth possesed me.

Have done two tests today . All BFN. No line after several hours.. The one with a line after 4 hours was Tesco all the rest have been poundland specials.
Definitely an evaporation line...

divedaisy · 19/04/2008 23:10

kazbeth - what are opks?? Are they the ovulation stick things I've heard about on here? What are they for/how do they work?? Where do you get them from!! Anyone got any!!?

Notsonewanymore - yeh insensitive boss - that's why now I work for myself! So I can be as insensitive to myself as I want!!!

cece - what are the first 4 signs of madness then??? I'm very interested in your signs - lets play snap and see if we have any in common!!!lol Bin hoaking is going a bit too far - don't think you're mad, just desperate to be preg like the rest of us!! That could be the title of the next thread - Bin Hoakers United!! Good luck with the arts and crafts party - loads of sticky glue for you then!!

cece · 20/04/2008 09:30

AF here in full force just in time to host a 7 year olds birthday party

mistlethrush · 20/04/2008 11:58

Cece - am in same boat but without the 7yos - but with dh and ds not 100% this w/e. Thought things were better today, but ds spent most of our walk in the park (him on his balance bike) saying he was tired and most of the way home whinging. He gets home 'I'm not tired'.... Sent straight for his nap! Lots of wailing - but all quiet now. Hurrah! Dh has also disappeared upstairs, probably to bed.

Have no idea why I've had sufficient symptoms to spot this month. I think its just another way of our bodies making the whole thing worse for us.

kazbeth - thanks for the info. I'll check ebay out.

DS (aged 5) wet the bed 2 times last night - unusual for him. Then this morning when getting him up for school he announced that in the middle of last night he felt sick but no sick came out of his tummy. Checked his temp - 38.4C so wee mite is off school today - but he seems fine! Except for the temp... must have been all that cycling practice yesterday - we're trying to get him off the stabilisers! Great fun... but he got the hang of it eventually! Though he is flushed with big red cheeks - he looks like this - but isn't angry!! So I've a lovely extra day with him b4 he goes to his Nans for the rest of the week. We' got him into a great school 30 miles away expecting our house to sell last autumn... we're still here! So DS stays with his Nan who lives around the corner from the school Mon- Fri. And I miss him a lot when he's away. If our house doesn't sell, we'll probably take him out of our preferred school choice and place him locally - just to have him at home with us and to let me be a proper mum!

Anyway, off to take care of !!

Speak l8r xx

quarkee · 21/04/2008 09:47

Still on 2ww and now ITCHING to buy a HPT - dont know exactly when AF is due though - if I date back from when I started bleeding then she is 4 days late if from the date of the scan that confirmed the mc then I still have a day to go - what do I do? I am for some mad reason worried I will jinx things by looking too early - am being a real ostrich. I think I am scared of having the worry whether i will mc again - the thought of thinking it could happen again at any time is not attractive in the slightest. Am I just being neurotic or has anyone else had the same thoughts?

Good moring everyone btw - sorry - had to vent first

quarkee · 21/04/2008 09:48

re school run daisy I hope you sell soon

mistlethrush · 21/04/2008 10:03

Daisy - I remember being in the same position when my parents were selling one house and buying another. We had to leave the house for the school run at 7.30 am to drive 30mins to the bus stop to catch the bus at the first stop on the route and then go on the school bus. But this was when I was 10, so not so bad - still a long day though. Hope you sell your house soon.

Quarkee. Have fallen off 2ww... From my experience, a mc etc really mucks up the system and can make af arrive late or early, however, hope that this is not the reason for the delay in your case.

OP posts:
scully · 21/04/2008 11:23

Quarkee m/c really mess up your system, I had an erpc last Aug and it took until Dec for my cycles to return back to the 30/31 days they had been before the pregnancy. If you have pregnancy symptons then I'd test otherwise I'd probably leave it a bit longer, depends how much you will torment yourself with wanting to test though
dh and I will probably start ttc again this weekend but having no idea of when is the right time, it takes the pressure off for the next month or so
Hope you had a nice day at home with ds Dive, is he feeling better now?
How was the party Cece? Sorry af arrived, just in time
dd1's party went very well, they all had a lovely time and she was given some great presents. And best of all it cost me $108 and I had no mess to clean up
