I've started a new thread as the old one was full - hope everyone finds their way here OK.

OP posts:
ontheup · 18/06/2008 15:50

5 months if you include the mc I had over Easter (7wks) - I got pg straightaway which I was chuffed about (I am 38, so a bit creaky) but it wasn't to be - i got pg with DS pretty fast too so i am not at rock bottom yet

We're off to Cornwa1l over the time i will ov so here's to record progesterone levels then!!!

How about you? Monkeybum is only a tiddler by his photo so not too long then??

monkeybumsmum · 18/06/2008 15:59

Ooohh lovely, Cornwall. A friend of mine's from there and is always proud to boast that it's 'subtropical' so hope you get good weather!

No, not long for us. Last pregnancy was a surprise really, we'd decided to 'see what happened' thinking it would take a while as it did with ds (took 10 months) and we got pg first month of trying. Then had the mc, and had first AF since mc almost 2 weeks ago. Having tried to not become obsessed it's all I can think about! Mind you it does get like that doesn't it

How old is your DS? Let's hope Cornwall is a lucky place!

lastboxoftampons · 18/06/2008 16:11

Ontheup I predict you will get PG on your holiday and have to name your baby Cornelia in honor of the place of her conception

Sounds like we all have similar situations. We started trying in January and I got pg straightaway, but sadly miscarried at Easter as well (11 weeks). Monkeybum I completely understand not being able to think about anything else! I feel like I've spent half this year googling various topics having to do with ttc, pregnancy, etc, etc. Oh, wait, that's be cause I HAVE!

By the way, I just had some sushi. Because I can! It's the one benefit of not being pregnant! And it was lovely.

napa · 18/06/2008 16:24

lastbox didn't realise our experiences were so similar - we started trying in jan and got pg within the month. then mmc at easter 10+ weeks.
know what you mean about eating what you like. af just finishing for me - started on 12th, 28 day cycle rather than my usual 30 and extra long for some reason rather than the 2-3 days i had before mmc and the first af i had after mmc. all weekend i've had parma ham, rare beef, wine and sushi. going to tgi's for friends birthday tonight, wonder what i can have thats on the banned list!!!

hi! to anyone new, hope your not here too long in the nicest possible way!

monkeybumsmum · 18/06/2008 16:25

Tell me about it LBOT. I'm sure I have other stuff to do than thinking/dreaming/googling ttc stuff too.

Yum, food Goats cheese is my weakness, as are peanut M&M's, but that's another matter...

I love the prediction and I hope it comes true!

monkeybumsmum · 18/06/2008 16:27

Hi napa - cocktails Are you driving?

Meant to say LBOT, and now napa too, sorry for your mc's. Life is so rotten sometimes.

ontheup · 18/06/2008 16:33

I had a peanut butter kit kat today and its a bit of wine for me tonight too - hey ho - am though - its my SIL's wedding next month and I had envisaged being nicely pg with a little bump and everyone saying congratulations etc - wont be like that though and I cant even drink becasue i am the driver aghhhh

ontheup · 18/06/2008 16:34

Re Cornwall being lucky - it was in the past - DS was concieved there and we're going back to the same place - spooky...he's just over 2 now monkey and a little terror darling

cece · 18/06/2008 16:42

heebeejeebee - hello and welcome although sorry you had to coin us. Have fun this weekend

ontheup - sorry af got you - mine was 6 days early this month and I had all the same symptoms as you. Disappointing isn't it?

monkeybumsmum - he is so cute

mistlethrush - you DS sounds like a fairly normal 3 year old to me. My ds went though a very awkward phase at that age. People used to stare so

lastboxoftampons · 18/06/2008 17:21

Oh, ontheup I had the same situation again - we were meant to go to a wedding next month and I had been wondering what I would wear and thinking about having a bump Then after the mc, I thought, right I have plenty of time, I'm either going to be showing a newly conceived bump or looking fab in a dress that I already have because I was meant to be spending all this time I'm not pg at the gym. Well, needless to say, I'm neither! But in the end, DH had a falling out with his friend and we're not invited to the wedding anyway...

Hi napa I didnt realize we were so "in synch" either Hopefully that means we'll both get knocked up this month!

DUSTIN · 18/06/2008 19:19

Hello everyone, welcome hbjb.

Everyone seems to be having weird AF at the moment. My last AF was strange, it lasted for 10 days and I ovulated on day 9 so no hope of a BFP this month.

ontheup · 18/06/2008 19:35

maybe we should rename this thread - loopy cycles anonymous or something....I think we have scientifically proven then that mc messes with your body aswell as your mind big time

mummy2olivia · 18/06/2008 20:26

Mind if I join you???

Had MMC at 9 weeks on 19th May. Feel like body is just getting back to normal really but am itching to TTC again.

Will prob lurk for a bit while I wait to O- good luck to everyone!!

hello BUM!!! xxxx

monkeybumsmum · 18/06/2008 22:18

Hi m2o!!!!!! Lovely to see you here!

ontheup, wouldn't it be great if the same thing happened again Hope so! Is he a little monkey too? Boys will be boys I suppose (and aren't they gorgeous when they're doing something they really shouldn't )

Got a question for you all - am getting tiny little sharp pains in my tummy and don't know what it is. Is in area where you would get period pain. Does this happen to anyone around ov time? That's all that I can think it might be?

ontheup · 18/06/2008 22:32

oh yes - he's definately his own man is DS DH and me are both v stubborn and competitve so he;s got a double helping...re pains I get period pains when I ov - I think its called mittelschmerz

scotlass · 18/06/2008 22:33

hello everyone,

Well I have ovulation pain right now - good times but DH is away and not home till the end of the month - bad times, so technically that means I can't really ttc - I'm so pissed off . However next month we'll be in a caravan in France so we'll have to seize each day!

monkeybumsmum (love your name!). I often get pain when I ovulate but mine tends to be around my hip area. I googled ovulation pain and apparently this is common - has a german name and doesn't affect your fertility.

scotlass · 18/06/2008 22:35

ontheup cross posted mittelschmerz that was it!

mistlethrush · 18/06/2008 23:23

I also had that 2 w of symptom spotting hugely a couple of cycles ago - I am convinced that it was very early mc - not had any luck since though, mainly due to dh not playing ball!

Rather intensive day at work today. And then the news that my parents are arriving before I thought that they would which means I've not got much time to tidy the house before they arrive. AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!

Hello ladies, just thought I would pop in and see you, as I am a graduate from this thread! I have copied and pasted a post that I did to a friend on another thread!
fruity I will do an 'egg dance' in the garden tomorrow! I promise!! don't care if neighbours think I've lost the plot!xx
(was talking to a mum at school the other day, she has a DD aged 7. She had blocked tubes and DH had 'slow swimmers'?? she was told chances of pregnancy very slim, she had 2 failed (paid for!) attempts of IVF under her belt and took a break from TTC, she went on a holiday to Mexico! she actually got pregnant when they decided to have a break from TTC!? I felt really when I was talking to her, she wants more children and she's 42! I have lots of children, I know I have had 3 M/C's but that doesn't change the fact that I have been blessed with my 'big family' I immediately thought of you (One of the reasons I don't like to post too often, you know salt in the wound and all that) I didn't have my first child until I was nearly 35! I bloody hope you get your wish and they sort your PCOS out xxxxx

The mum at the school had been trying for 8 years before she finaly conceived, hope this message gives some of you some inspiration! best wishes xxx

scully · 20/06/2008 12:14

Hello Emmsy1, love the idea of you and your bump dancing
Also having a strange cycle this month, this should be cd10 but started to bleed today, not sure if it will continue until tomorrow, so who knows when I will ovulate this month {hmm]
2nd m/c was in April but ttc has been delayed for a variety of reasons (incomplete m/c, and rubella and whopping cough vaccinations).......
As for the banned list, I've just had 2 glasses of red wine, and am now having some cookies and cream ice cream, not banned, but very nice

scully · 20/06/2008 12:15

god, can you tell I've had 2 glasses of wine, that should read whooping cough vaccination

ontheup · 20/06/2008 13:21

I had a massive glass of wine last night - yum!

DUSTIN · 20/06/2008 15:26

I am worried about AF. I am now late but I know I am not pregnant as I ovulated during 10 day AF last month. My cycle has gone really strange and I am concerned I may be menopausal!

ontheup · 20/06/2008 19:16

we're all wierd at the moment dustin hang on in there - if you are really worried could your GP help?

DUSTIN · 20/06/2008 19:22

I had a similiar thing happen a year ago and I missed one months AF so had 8 weeks of no AF. I went to GP then who said it was just a blip- may have to go back again. I think I worry more now I'm 38 as I know my biological clock is ticking very loudly!
