Morning ladies
Emma congratulations that's lovely news, and with a digital BFP i think you can definitely begin to celebrate!
EI i can't believe your GP yesterday. Crazy behaviour. I would echo what the others have said, and suggest you make a complaint. Yes, you need to write to the practice manager, stating that it is a formal complaint, and that you would like a response in accordance with the nhs complaints procedure. Outline everything that has happened, why you are unhappy, and what you would like as a result of your complaint. Copy in the PCT (complaints dept) as well. The practice will then have 10 working days in which to respond. Telling someone that they were never pregnant, even with a +ve test is incorrect, and also telling someone to stop trying is insensitive, callous, and unprofessional. Another suggestion is that if you get another BFP in the near future (sorry, can't remember where you are in your cycle) ask to see her and take it in, and ask her to note it in your records. (just incase it happens again - obviously i hope and pray it doesn't happen again) Maybe also take someone with you to witness it. Clearly, you can only have a +ve test if you have hCG in your system, which is only there if you are pg. To not monitor you and investigate why these little beans are not sticking properly is appalling. Sorry to go on - i feel so worked up on your behalf!
lou no wonder you were feeling awful yesterday. Do look after yourself. I know there is nothing i can say to make things suddenly better - but we are here for you, and will listen to you. I hope the appt today goes well, and you get the help you want.
hatty great to see you, and 15 weeks already - wow! You must have a bit of a bump now.
caitni any news? You said you had some spotting - hope it is not AF on her way.
dinky hello and welcome. Have you got a yet? When you take the sticks out of a digital opk, yes, there are always two lines there, but i have found when i use them in the past that when i get the the second line is really strong - as strong as the other one. So although you had an error reading it doesn't sound like you were ov'ing. I found that i would sometimes get error readings when i held the sticks in the urine stream, and found it didn't happen at all when i collected the urine, then dipped the sticks in. HTH
PnM Hope you have a lovely time on your (very sophisticated sounding) camping trip. Here's hoping for some lovely weather for you.
SH Glad your DD is better - hope you and DH didn't get it and that you have all had a more peaceful nights sleep.
Bucky are you packed yet?! I always leave it till the last minute. Guess it will be a bit strange having to practice safe sex. It must feel a bit wierd "wasting an opportunity", but i'm sure it will be worth it in the end to get this procedure done. Hope you have a really lovely time. I can understand how you feel about going away and leaving the dogs - i always hate leaving all my animals.
GG Am i too old to do DofE? Sounds brilliant - lots of boys, snogging in tents
JB Hope the sickness has ended now, and you are feeling more "normal"
DH may get his results tomorrow evening - he has a GP appt to get back blood tests results for something completely different, and he is going to ask if the semen analysis results are back yet. The sample was done last Friday, and they said "about a week" for results, but who knows what that means in the NHS! AF due today i think. Even though i know this month that i cannot be pg, the thought of it starting is still depressing, another reminder i suppose.
