Hi everyone

No weird symbiosis with our temperatures today, Fruity! What an awful surprise from British Gas. I've been stung like that before. I expect it's particularly unwelcome at the moment with energy bills going through the roof.

Sparkly Grr at your surgery. I've not had many dealings with my GP (I see a different one every time I go,anyway). I wonder what joys I have in store in the event this ttc "lark" ever comes to anything. Hope you have better luck next month.

Cricri Sorry to hear about your leak. The weather's meant to improve at the weekend, so hopefully you'll dry out.

Morning girls, hope all is well? Well to top off my crap week I'm now ill! I felt a bit sick last night so had an early night, felt OK this morning til I ate my breakfast then said goodbye too it (sorry for TMI) got to work but was ill there too so I've just come home. I feel so hot but no temperature, my head just feels like it's been boiled must have a bug coming for the weekend, great!! Feeling tired too so just thought I'd pop on to see how everyone was before I go and die on the sofa x

MollieMooma · 30/05/2008 11:15

EI Sorry I was so selfish then never said Hello and welcome back, glad you've decided to come and play again

FruitynNutty · 30/05/2008 13:17

mollie are you sure it's a bug? Have you ov'd yet?

EIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII yeah, you back! We missed you! Did you have a fab birthday? What did you do?

Turns out we should have been paying £45 per month more on our electric for the past year and a half! We now have to pay them (inc the electric we use now) £120 per month for the next 12 months I think I'll have to go and sell my body

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 30/05/2008 14:01

hi ladies
yep fruity im back i didnt actually go anywhere i just found all my time taken up with job hunting etc and havent had the energy to pop in
i have missed you lot though i am taking a more relaxed approach to TTC this cycle and i keep forgetting to temp im so relaxed so my chart looks like a dot to dot
hope you are all well on this fine friday afternoon i go to see girls aloud tonight so i will prob go missing again for a few days nursing a big hangover
xx ei xx

SparklyPiliPala · 30/05/2008 16:18

Ei Lovely to see you. Enjoy GA xx
Fruity That is awful . They should have picked it up much sooner!! You sneeky meeky checking out my chart!! I'm not feeling very hopeful TBH.
Yarnie My GP has been very helpful but the nurse is useless and only works one day a week. I think we'll be looking at getting some private help if month 8 arrives. I don't really want to head down this path but I just want to be reassured that everything is working as it should be.
Mollie Poor you. I hope it's not a bug . How are you feeling now?

Hello Ei lovely to see you missus !
No bump yet just a jelly belly - most probably caused by cakes, crisps and haribo (my healthy PG eating seems to have gone out of the window !)

Yarnie · 30/05/2008 16:59

Glad to hear your GP is good. Even though I am a strong advocate for the NHS (I virtually lived in hospital in my early years and my mum is an NHS nurse), there are often times where, if you can afford it, going private is the best for your health and your state of mind. I have resorted to it from time to time. I don't think anyone should feel bad about it. It's just a shame the NHS isn't better resourced/managed in certain areas.

SparklyPiliPala · 30/05/2008 19:45

Mibbes I think that might be my body getting rid of the alcohol I had 2 days before! I bet you haven't got a jelly belly!! I LOVE HARIBO!!
Yarnie Not really sure we can afford it after renovating our house but the NHS is so slow and I really want to be pregnant by August. You'd think it would happen after trying hard for 10 months and having unprotected sex for 2 years before that....

hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

I took my 'clan' to 'Loggerheads' yesterday,(a very picturesque part of North Wales) I haven't been there since I was a little girl. The children loved it, I was totally knackered though as I had to carry the 'backpack' and had to walk up the side of the 'mini' mountain, pulling the little ones along, the view at the top was spectacular so it was worth the hard work, we were there for 5 hours, I couldn't wait to get my feet up later in the evening! Taking DH next time so he can can carry the bag etc...

mibbes I haven't got a jelly belly, more like a jelly body! I feel like a blown up puffer fish, I hate the way some people just look pregnant but I just look fat!x

scully · 31/05/2008 07:34

Welcome back ei, how's the job hunting going? How were Girls Aloud? Don't hear about them over here
Thx for explaining what beta hcg is Yarnie, I had assumed it was a more detailed look at it, blood test came back ok so we're all good to go
dh is sick though so hopefully he contain his coughing fits this evening for just a little while The ovulation calendar on www.babycenter.com.au said ovulation should occur between Wed and Mon, but I'm only guessing that my cycle will return to around 31 days.
Your outing sounded like fun, but hard work for a pregnant person, Emmsey, hope the children slept well after all that fresh air
Can't believe they didn't let you know much earlier that you had been underpaying Fruity, that's a big monthly jump to have to try and find extra funds for
Hope everyone has a great weekend

Emmsy1 · 31/05/2008 07:58

scully sorry DH is poorly, hope he is feeling better for tonight! if not I'm sure he can still perform inbetween his coughing bouts, it's all in a very good cause! My 3 year old slept in his own bed 'all night' for the first time in months, wish his sister would have taken a leaf out of his book, she arrived in our room at approx 1.00am!

Yarnie · 31/05/2008 09:11

Morning everyone

Sparkly I really hope it all just happens for you and the whole process doesn't become a spendy one. Odds are it will happen. It's just a numbers game.

Emmsy Your trip sounds lovely, albeit strenuous! I've been trapped in the house working on a project for weeks and I would kill for a trip to the countryside. I will treat myself when the project has been handed in.

Scully Sorry your husband's not well. Do you have a handy supply of cough suppressant to see him through the critical exercise?! My neck has got a little worse, so I've been the weakest link in the bedroom. We've been having very low key action

Have a nice Saturday, all. The sun is shining (I can see from my window, shame I can't got out and enjoy it).

Yarnie It does look beautiful outside but I'm going to be working all day and all weekend. DP is going to take DD swimming so I'll have a bit of peace to crack on.
Emmsy Your trip with the LOs sounds lovely. I think we're going to have a few distrubed nights. We are thinking about putting DD in a bed at last. She's 31 months so it's about time really.
Scully The all clear is great news. Sorry to hear that DH is sick. I'm sure he'll find some energy for you.

Is your dd still in a cot Sparkly? If so I feel better, have been meaning to move dd2 into a bed for the last few months but haven't got around to buying a new mattress. She is 29mths
It's almost 8pm here now and I can hear the little bugger has climbed out of her cot and is trying to open the bedroom door
Sorry to hear your neck is still sore Yarnie, what can you do for it?
Know what you mean Emmsy, I had that cuddley look with both dd's pregnancies, I looked like I had just put on weight until about 5mths. Made sure I looked as pregnant as possible for the tube/train though

Emmsy1 · 01/06/2008 06:41

scully I only put my DS in his own bed in November, just after he was 3, I was desperate to try and reclaim my own bed as he would climb or fall out of his cot and end up in mine. I thought he would be really pleased to be treated like his older siblings and would stay put! It hasn't worked,I carried him back into his own room 3 times last night and he was still in my bed this morning! I'm finding it really uncomfortable already, don't know how to win with my little man? can't go climbing mountains on a daily basis!

SparklyPiliPala · 01/06/2008 09:15

Morning all.
Lovely temp from me today but don't think it's an accurate one. Had a few glasses of Pimms last night and also woke up in the night and cound't get back to sleep for ages. Only a few more days to wait. I'm pretty sure it isn't my month again because I have all the usual AF symptoms (sore boobs and a spot of my chin)...we'll see.
Scully She had her first night in a bed last night. We converted her cot bed and bought one of those bed rail things. She was very good and stayed there until 8.30am .
Emmsy I'm rubbish without sleep. Is he a cuddly LO? My nephew always liked to cuddled into his mum in the night.

morning,

Well, I did take my temp this morning then I went back to sleep. DS came running in and started playing about with bits on my bed side table, then I heard my thermometer beep. He pressed the bloody button , and you can only press it once to check your previous temp. I didnt catch it fast enough to see what it was so I have no idea now.

sparkly wait n see lady, wait n see

Ds has had his own proper bed for about 8 months now but he's always been very good at staying in his bed. In fact he refuses to sleep with us at all! He's like me, likes his space to spread out He's got one of those mid sleepers with a slide. I was a bit worried he'd fall out as he's only 2 but he's been fine

I met Phoebe, our new kitten, yesterday She's sooooooo cute! I must put a pic on my profile, I'll sort that out in a bit. She's 4 weeks old on Monday [aaaaawwwwwwww]

Yarnie · 01/06/2008 09:55

Morning all. Hope everyone's feeling chipper.

A lowish temperature from me today so speculating that it might be a pre-ov dip. I'll be pressing DF into service over the next few days.

Hey guys, feeling much better now, still felt a bit crappy yesterday and slept most of the afternoon, but seem to be back on form today
Fruity Yes I have OV'd last Fri/Sat but it's way too early for it to be anything but a bug (and I feel OK now) Like Sparkly don't have high hopes this month, just a feeling What pants news about your electric bill Crap service, they should so have changed your rates before all of this, quite scary really! Have you got your red light out yet
EI Did you enjoy your concert? How's the head?
Mibbes glad to hear your OK even if you reckon you've got a jelly belly (I'm sure it's your imagination) I bet everyone else thinks your "blooming" and you Emmsy
Scully Hope the dh is feeling better
Yarnie Good luck with the BD'ing

Emmsy1 · 01/06/2008 17:24

mollie glad your feeling better, think you may be a little run down? I always get a chest infection when ever I get too stressed xxx
sparkly my DS kicks and punches rather than cuddles! think he gets too hot at night, think I am going to put a dimmer switch in his room as he only has a light up plug at the moment!xx

Emmsy1 · 01/06/2008 17:32

fruity your kitten is adorable!!
I had a lovely cat for almost 9 years, but unfortunately I ran over him the other year. The vet bill was over £300 and they didn't even save him! Its best to take out pet insurance as it can cost a fortune. we still have our dog, he's 11 and I haven't managed to kill him yet! The children are always asking for another pet, I have told them that I may get them some gold fish, but that's as far as I am prepared to go!

Emmsy1 · 01/06/2008 17:45

mollie just read back over some previous posts and realised I hadn't answered your questions. I have 3 boys and 1 girl, would really love another girl, but don't feel very optimistic about it! Thought I would start thinking of names once 20 week scan was over(9th June)
