Morning all,

What a clear scan picture emmsy! It's amazing!

mibbes Hope you get sorted out with the injection OK. Let us know how you are

Welcome disenchanted mollie The temp drop is horrible isn't it? . At least you have an idea of what a normal cycle of temps looks like so you can spot any possible pregnancy changes next time.

ei Any news?! Is your chart is making more sense now?

What are you writing sparkly? Hope it goes well.

fruity LOL at lazy bum eggs. Hope yours gets a move on.

FF has put my lines in! You were right mibbes it was just a slow start. I have a lovely high temp today, hurray!

Mollie I'm writing about assessment in science (primary school stuff) and I need to come up with 3000 words but only got 500...I wonder if I could just fill the rest with OPK, BBT, TTC and so on...something that I actually know something about

OP posts:
MollieMooma · 08/04/2008 12:32

Sparkly Good luck with that one then!!

mibbes · 08/04/2008 12:33

Emmsy hurray you're back ! Missed you hun xx Your bean pic is fab ! All going well I plan to have a scan at 9 weeks (privately) as we have to tell family then and I want to be sure all ok first, hope I get such a clear pic !
Sparkly good luck with 1000 words and and super-fetile woman.
Mollie sorry it looks like she is going to get you. I couldn't fathom the relevance of cramp in your legs... they are crossed for my bean, thanks !
JB hurray for lines ! So glad you can relax now and symptom spot . Anything to report ?
Ei ?? have you tested again ? Any news ?

Well I called EPU this morning and the lady said they wouldn't give me anti-D until 12 weeks anyway so no need to go in. Then had a brown watery wipe later this morning so called them again and was told this is fine, "we only worry about fresh blood". Well yesterday's bleed was fresh blood and they told me not to worry grrrr... TBH I think they just leave you unless they suspect you are in danger as there isn't much they can do anyway. I have decided that I have to just get on with things and if beany isn't going to stick I can't change that by calling EPU every 5 mins and having a flap. What will be will be. Just praying the blood was from beany snuggling into my uterus.

mibbes · 08/04/2008 12:34

Sparkly reproductive biology - yes it is perfectly relevant I'm sure !

JollyBear · 08/04/2008 13:27

sparkly I like mibbes idea about writing about reproductive biology, although primary school might be a bit early for that sort of thing!

mibbes Glad to hear there hasn't been any more fresh blood. You are right that there isn't anything you can do, and it isn't good for you to get stressed, so just think positive and take it easy . How long till you are 9 weeks?

Oddly enough, no symptoms yet! I was having a peek at the 2ww site earlier and the most recently posted one is v funny!! It is v v detailed, and she talks about craving cold hamburgers on something like 5DPO and when she has one a few days later she mentions the person who got it for her, "thanks Eric"! Cold hamburgers

Random TMI question...
Does anyone use lube? Whilst looking at pre-seed stuff I saw that 'most lubes kill sperm'...so that's where i've been going wrong? Maybe DPs boys aren't strong enough to swim through it!!
Maybe it's time for a name change: Lubekillsperm?

PMSL sparkly

JollyBear · 08/04/2008 15:19

sparky I've read it shouldn't be used (except pre-seed) because it interferes with your CM and it is more difficult for the sperm to swim through. In TCOYF it says that some gynecologists advise using real eggwhite

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 08/04/2008 16:41

hi ladies
hope you are all well today
the girls on the temping buddies thread suggested i adjust my temps so they all appear to occur at the same time of the day to see if it made any difference to when i oved and it made absolutely no difference apart from it lowered my coverline slightly so im 19DPO no AF BFN and rather bored with it all now!!ei's adjusted chart
sparkly im glad you are feeling a bit better today
disenchanted welcome
JB yay for your Ov lines
mibbes im glad the bleed has stopped

sparkly even saliva is bad for the wee guys. Eurch! TMI but it is true.
I was gonna get some of the pre seed for next month. I guess I will order it in for 6 months time now.

oh ei I am confused then, what are we congratulating you on passing?

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 08/04/2008 17:26

i passed my assignment in uni TF i have failed it twice so 3rd time lucky lol
how are you??
xx ei xx

twinklingfairy · 08/04/2008 17:42

Oh not too bad today.
Waves of nausea come and go, but managing to control it.
Got appointment with doc tomorrow, so really hoping that they will tell me that my hCG levels are really really low. Just so long as they don't tell me that they are up.

What is going on with you? Blinking ought to have had your BFP by now. Grr at rotten bodies playing rotten tricks!

Emmsy ah, what a lovely pic of little baby How are you getting on with MS? I am so jealous of those who don't get any. I so wish that next time I am lucky, but don't hold much luck. Just don't think my body likes the initial changes. Once past 12 weeks, all ok but before. yikes!

mibbes · 08/04/2008 18:50

JB LOL at those mad Yanks and the 2ww website - I used to trawl it for hours as soon as had ov'd, it is so good and so funny ! Am exactly 6 weeks so hopefully 3 to go until scan. Haven't booked it yet though as scared to tempt fate when things are so fragile IYKWIM.
Scary I agree with JB about lubricant - you should only use pre-seed. I have read a few of the mad 2wwers on the 2ww website say that they used pre-seed for the first time and got PG so defo give it a go !
Ei FFS this is ridiculous now, are you testing every day until AF/BFP ? Agree with Fairy grrrr at bodies messing us about
Fairy lovely to see you hun, I was thinking about you on the way home from work, was just hoping that you were feeling ok xx

SparklyMummy · 08/04/2008 19:40

Thanks for all your advice. I think I will order some of that pre-seed stuff and give it a go.
Ei I've done 958. I can't believe that has taken me all day. Deffo make that appointment for Fri. xx
TF Sorry to hear your still poorly. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for lower hCG levels for you tomorrow.
mibbes I know I used to call you MibbLes and I also know you have a baby brain BUT i'm sparkly and not scary . 6 weeks already!! It's flying by!

OP posts:
mibbes · 08/04/2008 19:59

PMSL Spakly so sorry, getting my lovely ladies muddled up
I was questioning my PG brain earlier actually as got msg from GP surgery asking why I'd missed my MW appt and to call and book another one. I was furious with myself for being so disorganised but then checked appt card and it defo says Wed 9th April... will call tomorrow but suspect they have muddled it up and will have to wait for appt another grrrr...bloody NHS

Emmsy1 · 08/04/2008 20:45

TF hope all is ok with your bloods tomorrow, really sorry your going through this crap. My nausea is still with me,its off and on every couple of hours its a real pain in the bum. I think the 5MG of folic acid the doc prescibed for me because of the recurrent m/c's is making it worse, just wondering how much longer I need to take it for?? I have also started getting bad headaches that sometimes make me feel sick.I know I am lucky to still be pregnant so I don't want to moan too much about the shiy part of pregnancy I may join an ante-natal thread soon to let off some steam or open one that invites any pregnant woman regardless of when they are due to join, I am hanging on in there for Ei to get her BFP as it was her idea, hope she gets a move on

ScarySparkly poor you having to write 1000 words. You should be able to write as many or as little words as you wish, as long as the assignment is clear,
complete and factual, its really stupid having to do it in a certain amount of words,I wonder who it is that gets paid to come up with these ideas??X

mibbes glad it was only abit of stale stuff that was visible today, glad you have a positive attitude about it all, I think thats very important at this stage, no use worrying your self into an early grave, lots of love and sticky, gluey dust for your little beanieX (p.s when I had my last two m/c's the blood was bright red and it never stopped, it slowed down alittle when I put my legs up but there was always a contuous flow, yours really does sound more like a burrowing beanie)

Hello .

I know everyone here ...well most people . Nice to see you all. Like how you have it decorated in here. Its very bright and sunny and the seats are cool.

I here this is the place to come if you have a shiny new thermometer! AND I HAVE ONE .

Can I stay?

mibbes · 08/04/2008 21:18

Thanks Emmsy hearing wee snippets like that really does help xx
never how many weeks will you be at scan next week ? How exciting ! It doesn't seem so long ago we were HCBs !

mibbes · 08/04/2008 21:20

wey hey pull up a comfy chair Bucky and get that shiny new thermometer at the ready. Have you joined FF yet ? Ei and Sparkly just started a few weeks ago and I think they have found temping really useful - we have had great fun interpreting their charts anyway

SparklyMummy · 08/04/2008 21:38

Welcome Bucky .... take a seat! I hope your wait isn't a long one. I'd def join FF because it really helps when temping...Good luck!

OP posts:
Bucky2008 · 08/04/2008 21:43

Thanks Sparklingmummy, but my wait has already been long . I am on Cycle 12!! All of which I have spent on MN!!

I have only been actively ttc and effectively monitoring my cycles for 12 months, but I haven't used contraception for 18 and had a MC before that, so I'll probably be here a while! I still appreciate the positive thoughts though
