Was thew film good sparkly?

DP's gone off to Shepperton studios today to learn how to use a camera or something I dont really know what he was talking about TBH but he seemed quite excited about it. He texted me to tell me he was standing on a massive stage right next to Hogwarts!

He said there's going to be a Toy Story 3 out in a couple of years time. I cant even remember how the 2nd one ended . I think they ruin it when sequels come out. Except of course for Grease2 which was such a fab film ()

Got the two kiddies in bed and not a peep from them Ah, this is the life!

Right, gonna make me some soup, I've got Chicken Thai today and it's gorgeous

FruitynNutty · 22/05/2008 13:04

Sparkly A pork pie you naughty girl! God, I'd love a pork pie right now

Mollie That's a very good idea actually but I think I'll save the rest for tomorrow's lunch. If I eat it all now I wont have any lunch tomorrow.

SparklyPiliPala · 22/05/2008 13:14

Fruity Pork pie was yuk (290 cals of yuk). Toy Story comes out in 2010 I think. Enjoy your soup. We're off out to a play centre at 2 and i'm going to have a caramel latte....yum...

mibbes · 22/05/2008 13:35

Hello ladies - LOL at all this food chat, you can soo tell you are on diets !
Sparkly I reckon you'd need to discount some of the high pre-ov temps but then you're pretty much deciding yourself when you ov'd and it is not obvious ! Maybe just wait a few days and adjust temps if still no lines... you may never know exactly which day you ov'd this cycle - def initely over the last few days though so at least you know approximately !

MollieMooma · 22/05/2008 14:06

Fruity Hope you enjoyed the half carton of soup! I had a jacket potato and beans today, but not sure what we're having for tea yet.
Sparkly Pork pie - yuck! I hate the jelly stuff round the meat, that puts me right off so at least that's one less evil thing I can eat

FruitynNutty · 22/05/2008 15:01

I had my soup and grapefruit. I then had a cheeky yogurt and a couple of handfuls of raisins I'm now having a coffee to curb my food greediness but already dreaming of biscuits

Kids are up now so I'd better go and entertain them, bye for now....................................

SparklyPiliPala · 22/05/2008 16:58

Hi i'm back....we just walked for about 4 miles...
Mibbes I've taken out high temps. If I get another high temp tomorrow then I'll get FF lines..I entered a temp for tomorrow to find out what would happen and it told me I ov'd on CD16 which is about normal.
Mollie I don't normally eat meat - let alone something as yuk as a pork pie...I only ate the pastry though...
fruity I want a yogurt!!

MollieMooma · 23/05/2008 09:11

Morning girls, feeling very righteous on the food front today, had a salad last night and refused the popcorn my sister was trying to tempt me with, so my halo is positively shining! Still only getting faint +ve on the OPK's but BD'ing just in case

Yarnie · 23/05/2008 10:16

Hola

I wondered whether I could join you all?

DF and I have recently decided to TTC no. 1. We both turn 30 this year.

I had depo injections for a number of years, so I'm a little worried we may have "issues". I've not had an injection for about 2-3 years, though.

I charted my BBT from about mid-cycle last cycle on FF and will continue to chart. I'm only using a regular digital Boots thermometer. I have a regular 27 day cycle and I'm currently on CD1 (36.4° today).

I've been doing a little reading up, but I'm a hopeless novice. It took me about a week to get a grip on all the acronyms! I reckon it's going to be a steep learning curve.

I'll stop rambling on now!

Good luck to us all!

SparklyPiliPala · 23/05/2008 12:32

Morning ladies,
Well my personal training session was hard work - I had a fit test and it looks as though i'm running 6min KM which isn't bad but hurts like hell!!
FF gave me OV lines so I'm 3DPO....only 11 days left of the 2WW and counting.
Mollie I only usually get faint lines on the OPKs so keep going with the BDing. Good on you for resisting the food temptation!!
Fruity [waves] I'm going to get my LOST fix tonight .
Yarnie Welcome. I've added you to the list. What cycle are you on? Do you have any other children? It's worth thinking about spending a few quid on a babymad thermometer. They're not very expensive at all. Good luck.

Can you all hear my tummy rumbling? I haven't eaten today. Maybe that's why my blood pressure was 105/80 this morning...oops!!

Thanks Sparkly. This is cycle no. 1 for child no. 1. I sound like a gameshow host(!)

Anyone got any tips about where to pick up a good value bbt thermometer?

mibbes · 23/05/2008 12:51

Hi Yarnie and welcome ! like Sparkly said try babymad - get them online. Or you can get a Boots fertility thermometer for about £12 - you really do need the 2 dec places. Good luck !
Great news about lines Sparkly !

MollieMooma · 23/05/2008 12:57

Sparkly Your such a good girl with your training! I'm very impressed Hope your getting some lunch now though not good for you to miss meals!
Glad you've finally sorted the temps, at least you know where you are now, bring on the waiting game! I have to say that I've never got a strong line, and thought I kept missing it so nice to see someone else with the same problem, sometines I have to hold it under a microscope with floodlights on it!!

Yarnie Hello and welcome, hope your stay with us isn't too long although we'd all be incredibly !!
Fruity I think we should take Babychicken off next time too, I like the executive decisions we're making today, will put me in the right frame of mind to supervise my dh and his brother fitting my bathroom this weekend!

Yarnie · 23/05/2008 13:06

Excellent. Just purchased a thermometer off Babymad. Even found a discount coupon!

Well done on the personal training, Sparkly. My gym membership has been languishing. I intend to get back on the treadmill on Monday...Probably!

SparklyPiliPala · 23/05/2008 13:09

Yarnie Are you using OPKs too? I bought my babymad from ebay I think.
Mibbes Hi..I had to discard a lot of temps but I got my lines in the end and i'm positive I OV on either CD15/16 - more so on CD16 like FF said.
Mollie I am so hungry!! Me and my sister are going to get some lunch - I don't think it's going to be healthy. Good luck with the bathroom fitting. I love supervising DIY and complaining!!

Yarnie · 23/05/2008 13:26

Sparkly I'll certainly think about getting OPKs.

Who knew there was so much kit!

scully · 23/05/2008 13:28

Welcome Yarnie, they are all mad on here but good for a laugh
Speaking of, liked the photographer story Fruity, and your soup stories this week
Well done with the gym Sparkly, I'm about to cancel my membership I was doing really well with going 3 times a week and since the 1st m/c last Aug, struggled to get back into the routine again. Starting work again probably hasn't helped.
Saw my acupuncture lady again tonight and she has given me some herbs to boil up and drink, to make completely sure that m/c is complete. She agreed though that it was a good sign that pregnancy test was negative on Tues.
Off to bed now, 10.30pm and I'm knackered, must be getting old

Yarnie · 23/05/2008 13:55

Cheers, Scully. Sweet dreams and hope the herbs aren't too bitter.

MollieMooma · 23/05/2008 14:30

Scully Normally your telling us about your glass of bubbly or chardonnay, not herbs!
Yarnie If you decide to get OPK's ebay are dirt cheap but do the job

FruitynNutty · 23/05/2008 16:02

Oohh, is that fresh new blood I can smell? yarnie lovely to meet you We're a bit obsessed with food in here, you'll get used to it though

Sparkly YES! Those lines are looking very sexy indeed

I'm off to the gym in the morning I've booked DS into the creche for an hour so I'd better make the most of it! Maybe I'll sit in the sauna/jacuzzi for an hour

Scully glad you liked the stories I'd love some acupuncture. Reflexology would be nice too. Let us know how your potion goes down, hopefully it wont taste too awful.

SparklyPiliPala · 23/05/2008 19:06

Yarnie We've been trying for a whilst so if there's kit on the market then we know about it .
Scully Hope you're sleeping well. Let us know how you get on with the herbs.
Fruity Just sit in the jacuzzi .

Shock, horror....I'm actually going out tonight. I just squeezed into my black skinny jeans. DP told me I've lost weight but I think it's just because they're black. I actually weighed 9st9lb today which is 1lb heavier than normal.....didn't tell him that though!! Happy Friday night all - expect a temp rise from me tomorrow!!

Emmsy1 · 23/05/2008 19:49

hello lovely slender ladies glad to hear your diet's are going so well
yarnie a big welcome to this lovely thread, hope your TTC doesn't take too long. OPK's are a must! the cheapies from ebay are just fine.
sparkly muscle weighs more than fat, so that's why your a little heavier, you should soon start to see a reduction to your weight if you keep up the good work, very impressed with the black skinny jeans, I had a pair of them when I was 16 (a very loooooooong time ago!)
fuity the smell of fresh blood, yikes you will scare our new friend off. (glad you explained about diets)
mollie well done missus, glad your sticking to your diet, hope your not going to be on here too long tonight? you have work to do lady! hope you will soon have to 'bin' the diet!x
scully glad your test was negative, really hope things work out for you soon. Early night? is DH having an early night too? xx
mibbes hope you and miblet are doing fine. Have you started doing any running lately? any symptoms to report?
I definately felt my beanie move last night!, I thought I felt something weeks ago,but decided it wasn't beanie because it didn't keep happening. Feel much better now as I was really starting to get worried, was even dreaming beanie had died, just felt it again, I have just got to get past dreaded 20 week scan now for the hopefully 'all clear'then can chill out a little more.
I have had some lovely salads the past few days, unfortunatly I added full fat mayo to the potato salad and Tuna. Also decided on creamy cheese coleslaw, very fatning but scumlicious!

Emmsy1 · 23/05/2008 19:52

sorry about all the mistakes, meant to preview first but pressed the wrong button

FruitynNutty · 24/05/2008 07:58

Morning everyone,

Sparkly well done you for getting into your skinnies I cant even look at mine, even my 'baggies' are tight at the moment . I'm of to the gym this morning like I said, I'm really not looking forward to running on the treadmill with my belly, bum, and thighs bouncing around . Still, I've just gotta get back in shape. This isn't me at all and I feel gross.

DP's off on his mates Stag do in a minute. They're off to Liverpool dressed as The Pink Ladies , DP's going as Rizzo, he has a massive black afro wig LOL!. He's staying in Wallasy(sp?) Ei look out for him wont you, you can be my spy

Emmsy Aaaaawwww, that is so sweet, are you getting real movements yet or is it flutters and bubbles? I can't wait for that feeling again! I managed to film DS moving in my tummy, it looks like something is knocking on my belly from the inside Not looking forward to the foot in the ribs though, DS was a bugger for that, I think he had his foot stuck there for about a week (or it felt like it)

Yarnie how are you this morning? Are you addicted to MN yet?

Mollie good luck with the bathroom fitting!

Piper everything ok?

Ei You're very quiet lately, just gonna have a nose at your chart

I've taken Babychicken off, if you're still there BC please add yourself back on!
