Morning everyone

Blardy hell piper that is a low temp! Are you still breathing?

Scully excellent news!

mollie What a relief eh! I'm always paranoid about our boiler breaking down. I'm tempted to get that cover from British Gas. We'd never be able to afford a new boiler. Has anyone got this cover? Is it worth it?

Sparkly I couldn't get on MSN last night. But will try again tonight if you're around?

Ei stop hiding BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!!!!

Emmsy That must have been so scary for you! I'm so pleased it turned out to be nothing serious!

Hi ladies !

Sparkly when you testing missus ?
Ei Happy Birthday !!!! Hope you are being spoiled today
Fruity I have boiler cover and it has been worth it as they check it every year and it has had minor faults a few times and they fix it really quickly.
Since I have told my friends am PG 2 of them have confided that they are ttc - so I've been sharing my TCOYF knowledge and encouraging them to temp ! It is really strange how we chat for hours on here about EWCM but in real life it is a bit embarassing ! One friend texted me this last night after reading up on FF "OMG I had no idea the contents of my pants could tell me so much !"

FruitynNutty · 28/05/2008 13:58

lol mibbes

hmmm, maybe I should think about getting boiler cover then, will british gas make me buy a new boiler though?

MollieMooma · 28/05/2008 14:27

Mibbes LOL at your friends text, it makes me laugh at the stuff we talk about on here
Sparkly AF is due 5th June, are you going to wait until your due or test before? What date should your AF be?
EI Happy birthday

Is anyone else fed up of this god damn awful rain!!!!!! It's starting to really bug me now!

Yarnie · 28/05/2008 15:29

Read this article today and couldn't agree with the contents more.

I had no idea so many people found it difficult to conceive until I embarked on this venture. I'm a scientist by training, but I still harboured a vague notion that unless you had specific fertility issues, it was relatively easy to fall pregnant. Even if there's no medical issues, the numbers game means that 1 in 10 people still won't have conceived after 18 months of trying just through bad luck.

I know schools/parents try to protect children from unwanted pregnancies by telling them they can get pregnant if they so much as catch sight of a man's equipment, but I think it has serious consequences. It engenders a belief that when you want a child you just have unprotected sex and hey presto! I think I might have to start getting evangelical with all my friends, just to make sure they give themselves the best possible chance

Sorry for the ramble

MollieMooma · 28/05/2008 16:05

Yarnie That made me feel so much better, like I'm in the majority not the minority!
Thanks for sharing x

mibbes · 28/05/2008 16:57

Fruity not unless it is falling to bits - they come and assess it first.

piper84 · 28/05/2008 19:09

Yarnie i completely agree with that too two very close friends of mine fell pregnant by "accident" way before i even thought about ttc, i definetly did not think it would be this hard!

Deffo have a good feeling about this month though, (that could be a side affect of the clomid

EI HAPPYBIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FruitynNutty · 28/05/2008 20:50

me too yarnie imagine all those years of being so scared you'd get preg. I assumed with one slip I'd fall preg. No one tells you you can only fall preg on only 5 days in your cycle

MollieMooma · 29/05/2008 14:23

OMG Sorry but this is another rant about my boiler saga!!!
My SIL offered to sit in the house when the plumber came back to do the repair job at 10am this morning, she was only bloody late and he'd been and gone, so still no hot water until Saturday. Between her and her dh I am absolutely livid for the mess they have put us in AAAGGGGGHHHHHHHH

Anyway, hope everyone is well today?

Yarnie · 29/05/2008 14:32

Oh, Mollie! Poor you. Did you have that whole 'you must be in between the hours of crack of dawn and midnight' thing? I hate that tradesmen don't give specific appointments.

MollieMooma · 29/05/2008 15:15

No, it's worse than that! My SIL is notorious for being late, the plumber said he could slot us in at 10am, so we told her the time, her dh kept nagging you must be on time but she got there after 10 and he'd been and gone (he's fitting us in as a favour!) I just want to strangle her!!!!

Yarnie · 29/05/2008 15:56
MollieMooma · 29/05/2008 16:52

Thanks Yarnie says Mollie hiccuping and wiping chocolate off from round her mouth

FruitynNutty · 29/05/2008 17:36

Afternoon ladies.

I've had a nightmare of a day

I checked my online banking account and had to do a triple take when I noticed we were seriously over our overdraft I honestly nearly passed out! Turns out British Gas had taken out £724

Apparently our electric has been majorly underestimated for ages. I had no idea, never had to pay it before we moved here, just assumed that was how much electricity costs. So, they just decided to pinch everything we owed in one lump sum! I've spent the whole day on the phone to British Gas and Natwest bank trying to sort it out. Luckily the bank have extended our O/D and paid us back the money [phew] We just have to pay back British Gas in monthly installments. This has been a good lesson to me! ALWAYS check the meter reading, EVERYTIME we get a bill! I got into the habit of not bothering to open the bill knowing it will just come out by direct debit anyway - big no no! I cant believe how much we owe them It's not fair. I wish someone would give you an instruction book when moving into your own house for the first time

Anyway, apart from that, we had a lovely day at the Farm. Beautiful day, I'm a bit sunburnt! We left just as the rain started.

Oh mollie It's not your week is it

Emmsy1 · 29/05/2008 20:24

mollie big {{{{hugs}}}} I can't stand people who let you down, have a real glass or two tonight hun!xx
fruity thats terrible, I am a little worried as I know my elecy and gas have been underestimated for the last few months, and I have knowingly decided to ignore the letters and not give them the correct readings as didn't really want them to increase my DD payments for a while, think I maybe digging a bigger hole for myself! I also have a leak in my bedroom, that I have tried to stop by squishing wood polyfiller into the window frame, and 3 of my radiators are leaking, just haven't really got any spare cash at the moment to get everything sorted could do with a small win on the lottery! (or I would settle for a big win!
hello to yarnie piper sparkly mibbes cricri scully and a happy birthday to Ei for yesterday!

cricri · 29/05/2008 20:44

Evening everybody!
Mollie and Fruity sounds like you've both had a nightmare day. Glad you got the payments sorted out Fruity but what hassle! That's the problem with DD - the companies just help themselves and then you have to try to get it back from the bank. We had the same problem a couple of months ago but fortuntely the bank were v helpful.
Mollie, can't believe your SIL I'd be livid! Good job your parents live close by but it's still not v convenient having to go there for a shower.
Emmsy We had a leak in one of our bedrooms earlier this week with all the rain we've been having. DH had to go and put a bucket in the loft as a temporary measure!
We've got some friends staying with us for the weekend who have a 10 month old baby so we're getting a taste of what it's going to be like!Hope everybody else is OK on this wet and miserable evening (well, it is here!)

SparklyPiliPala · 29/05/2008 21:02

I've finally had the chance to catch up. Was supposed to work all day today but ended up going surfing instead - oops! My work load should decrease by Tuesday (I hope!).
I can't remember if I said but the surgery didn't have space for my 21 day bloods again this month . I think i'll book tomorrow ready for next month!
Scully That is fab news. Sounds like it's time for the BDathon to begin for you.
Yarnie Have you had your replacement from babymad yet? Glad to hear your neck is getting better.
Piper LOL -I'm sure that temp was inaccurate. What was your temp like today? Hope the clomid symptoms are staying away.
Mollie BIG [hugs] to you. Sounds like you've had a nightmare few days. We had our house renovated and so many other problems occured but it was worth it in the end. Did you have less rain today?
Mibbes Don't think I've 'spoken' to you in a while. Think I'll be testing next week if temp doesn't drop. Got a feeling it isn't my month again though . How are you feeling? Any signs of a bump?
Fruity That is sh*t!! The same thing happened to my sister. . I forgot to tell you that my bank card (and lots of other peoples) got swallowed the other day but I managed to get it back. Have you heard from Ei? I'll give you a bell tomorrow evening if I get the chance-we need to decide about 14th.
Emmsy and Cricri [waves]. Hope you're both well.

MollieMooma · 29/05/2008 21:36

Sparkly Tut Tut naughty girl (I'm only jealous!)
Fruity What robbing b*stards! Can't believe they did that with no warning whatsoever! Cheek! Glad you got it sorted though
Emmsy I know what you mean about the lottery, it just never seems to happen though does it? Mollie sighs wistfully x
