Hello all!
Not been in for a few days so thought I'd catch up with you all.
Fruity Love the wedding venue and bridesmaid's dress. I loved planning my wedding so like hearing all the wedding talk!
Piper Great news you can start ttc again - fingers crossed for you.
Mibbes Definitely a good idea to take it easy on the exercise front if you're having such violent reactions. Walking is good (treadmill or outside). I'm noticing that as the weeks go by I'm having to reduce the intensity of my workouts more and more and I feel really tired afterwards too so I'm trying to listen to my body and not do too much.
The weather is rubbish here too. Managed to go to the gym this morning and I've just done a couple of hours of work... BHs mean nothing to freelancers! I think I've felt the baby move a few times but I'm still not sure. I'm also getting stunned responses from people who had no idea we were ttc/had a mc last year and it is good fun see their faces/read e-mail replies!
Hope everybody else is having a good day.

MollieMooma · 26/05/2008 15:50

Fruity I found Confetti invaluable, I was always on it! Gorgeous colour and style of dress, I like!! Glad you liked the look of Portmeirion it did make for some lovely photo's I caught up on Desperate housewives this morning and was convinved we were on tornado watch here, it's so bloody windy and wet!!
Yarnie Sorry to hear your neck is no better, are you planning your wedding for this year or next?
Sparkly What did you do with your DD after? Did you risk the soft play centre?
Piper Hurray for AF and Clomid! Glad you had a good night out
Mibbes Sounds like you should definately be taking it easy hun, be careful!

Hi everyone

Mollie We're currently planning for a wedding next year. We're probably leaving the planning a bit late as I hear competition is hot for venues, etc. However, we're not fixed on a particular date and it's only going to be a small affair.

I have a question for all of you who have a babymad bbt digital thermometer. Does it beep? The instructions seems to indicate that it should, but mine doesn't. I thought I'd check with you guys before I check with the vendor.

FruitynNutty · 27/05/2008 07:51

yes Yarnie it should beep after two minutes - Although it seems like a lifetime! Sometimes I think mine's broken but I just underestimate how long 2 minutes really is!

If you have a particular venue in mind then I would get booking. The venue I want for next August (2009)only has 2 days left

Yarnie · 27/05/2008 07:55

Thanks, Fruity. I kept the thermometer in for 5 mins and it definitely doesn't beep. I am somewhat hearing impaired and my partner says it makes a little clicking noise after two minutes, but I don't hear it. I'll raise it with Babymad.

MollieMooma · 27/05/2008 12:49

Afternoon girls, hope your all well?
Well I wasn't going to moan about the disaster that is fondly remembered as my bathroom but as it has limped along from bad to worse I have to let off steam! It started Friday night with all the plaster falling off the walls when we removed the tiles, our friend came to replaster on Sunday morning, has now gone to London to work and won't be back til next weekend to skim it, I can cope without a basin for the next week of 2, not a problem. So bath was plumbed in and a radiator that I didn't use removed from the bathroom. I have had a couple of luxurious soaks, but last night noticed a small leak from the pipe under the bath, which BIL came to repair. When the water was switched back on there was no hot water as the pilot light had gone out on the combi boiler. We started up the heating to ignite it, unfortunately when my BIL removed the radiator and drained the central heating system he thought it would fill up automatically, not knowing you had to do it manually. So the boiler made an awful noise and started letting off steam and water poured out from it and the smell was awful, the pressure burst the valves in the bathroom so water went all up our newly still drying out plastered walls, I could have cried!! Instead I ate a huge block of chocolate, so much for my diet
God what a mess, really annoyed with BIL for not thinking of it, but can't say much as he was doing us a favour

FruitynNutty · 27/05/2008 13:10

oh mollie poor poor you. Dont feel guilty about eating a nice big block of choc! I would!
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
I hate renovating

Yarnie · 27/05/2008 13:12

Mollie What a nightmare(!) We had our kitchen refurbished recently and if it could go wrong, it did go wrong. We ate take out for two weeks. It's so wearing when it's your own home and you can't escape from it and relax isn't it?. Hope it's all plain sailing from now on.

scully · 27/05/2008 13:23

What a disaster Mollie, I don't envy you, having to have all that work done again Your BIL must feel awful.
Welcome back Piper, good luck
I've tried to look at the dress link Fruity but it won't come up, will try tomorrow.
We had a wedding very similar to what your describing Yarnie, 30 people, registry office and drinks/nibbles at a local pub afterwards. Had a fab day, when we get around to renewing our vows though would like a sit down meal, that's the one thing I wish we had been able to afford at the time.
Had a relaxing day at home with dd2 today, off to the gynae tomorrow, to find out results of last 4wks of blood tests. Hopefully will show hcg results are back to normal and we can ttc again. Have had some cm Mon and Tues this week, opk didn't say I was ovulating today but I think it should be this week hopefully

cricri · 27/05/2008 13:42

Mollie That sounds awful! Are you still without hot water? What a nightmare... We're having work done on our house later this summer and I'm really not looking forward to the disruption/potential disasters. Hope you can get it all sorted soon.
Scully Good luck for your appt tomorrow. Fingers crossed you can start ttc very soon

MollieMooma · 27/05/2008 13:50

Thanks girls, we are still without hot water CriCri have to see what this man says who's coming tonight, unfortunate thing is that BIL doesn't seem to take any responsibility for it, just left us with repercussions and cost, it's making me really angry the more I think about it as the day goes on! Must destress! I will think about weddings that's much nicer!
Scully Good luck for tomorrow, let's hope you can start TTC'ing very soon x

Emmsy1 · 27/05/2008 14:19

hi girls, hope your all doing ok,is your neck any better yarnie mollie sorry you have had such a shitty weekend, that would have really pushed me over the edge, probably would have hit the bottle instead of the chocolate!
fruity dont feel bubbles etc.. feels more like something actually moving inside, but only gently, cant wait to see tummy moving in to odd positions
mibbes I did start my exercising but then DH has been on late's and night's over the past few weeks so I won't exercise in front of him, and too tired to do any in the evening, now children are off school so another reason (excuse) not to do any this week best if you take it easy if your body is reacting in that way
sparkly congratulations on your forthcoming wedding! nothing wrong with a long engagement, I only got married when I had baby number 3!!

scully good luck at with appt, hope bloods are all back to normal, then get to it lady!
cricri weather really bad here today, it hasn't stopped raining almost all day! weather forecast supposed to be good for us (NW) thursday and Friday, so at least some nice weather to look forward.

I had to go to the doc's today, I was really scared. I found a lump under my right armpit that is quite sore when you touch it. Doc thinks I have an infection in my lymph node, but she hasn't given me anything for it, told me to come back in 2 weeks and hopefully it will go on it's own! hope so, the dreaded 'C' word has been bouncing around in my head since I found it last night. Feel much better now that I plucked up the courage to go to the doc's. Asked doc if she could check the baby's heartbeat, as I haven't been able to pick it up on my monitor, I heard it for the first time and also managed to get my first free prescription using my maternity exemption card, a bottle of gaviscon! (heartburn really causing me probs at the moment) Doc also advised me not to use my own monitor, said it can cause unneccesary upset! My scan is on the 9th June at 11.00am, so hopefully get to find out the baby's sex and confirmation that all is ok.

MollieMooma · 27/05/2008 14:38

Emmsy It's awful going to the doc when you find something like that isn't it? So glad you plucked up the courage to go though, and fingers crossed it will clear up soon, I get them sometimes and it's usually an infected hair follicle, bloody sore though! Not long til scan then, bet you can't wait, any preference on sex, what sex are your other 3 lo's? Have you thought of any names yet? Oh my god just read that back and it's like the spanish inquisition! Sorry

Yarnie · 27/05/2008 14:51

Neck's feeling much better today, thanks, Emmsy

Sorry to hear about your scary episode. I've had an infected lymph node in my armpit from time to time. It really hurt, but went of its own accord in a week or two. Mum's a nurse and she tells me that with the dreaded C, lumps rarely hurt. Obv. wise to get anything like that checked out, though.

So lovely that you got to hear baby's heartbeat

Emmsy1 · 27/05/2008 15:36

yarnie thanks, you have made me feel even better than I did before, you can definately come here again, infact you can have my comfy armchair and help your self to my secret stash of chockie bickies (don't let the girls on the diet's see them!)

SparklyPiliPala · 27/05/2008 17:26

Hi all.
My temp was quite low this morning. Tried to book in for 21 bloods again this week and they are fully booked. She offered me next week but I'll have AF by then so it's too late . I wish they hadn't messed up my first bloods...ah well.
Yarnie I think that once the temp doesn't change in 5 secs it freezes. Maybe see if you can use this method, or just get a new one.
Mollie It's so frustrating. You poor thing. [hugs]
Scully Hope you egg hurries up.
Emmsy I have had a lymph node infection. It was in the back of my neck. I also had a big lump under armpit when pg with DD, Could it be milk duct? Hope you're ok. xxx

Just thought I'd say Babymad are sending a new thermometer out straight away. Been very impressed with their service - quick and cheap. Thanks for the recommendation, ladies.

Emmsy1 · 27/05/2008 19:36

Sparkly Doctor said I had an infection in the lymph node, not really sure about blocked milk ducts? she gave me a thorough breast examination and couldn't find any other lumps, glad that other's have had similar experiences IYKWIM as it doesn't seem so scary any more xx

emmsy sorry about your lymph node infection but at hearing babys heartbeat

Well good news here, gynae has almost given me the all clear to ttc again
I had one more blood test today whilst I was at the hospital, to check my beta hcg, all the other tests had been checking my hcg , no idea what the difference is. But she will ring me tomorrow with the results because she worked out that this week is our fertile time so the sooner I get this last blood test result back, the sooner we can try. She is 99% sure this result will be ok, but better to be sure.
Speaking of, might go try another opk to see what it says today
Sorry, will read messages later, time for dd1's swimming lesson. How is everyone else?

Yarnie · 28/05/2008 07:20

That sounds promising, Scully. Hope you're back at it very soon. A beta HCG tests for a fragment of the complex. HPTs test for the whole complex and tell you that HPT is present. A beta-HCG tests is a quantitative test which will tell you how much HCG is present.

Piper Hope your ears are feeling better this morning. Did the doctor give you anything for it? I was plagued with ear infections when I was a bit younger, so I really feel for you.

How is everyone else this morning?

Yarnie How's the neck?

to Fruity & Sparkly and anyone else lurking out there!

Well the boiler man came last night, happily we only need a part not a whole new boiler so I'm a happier bunny today!
Still not hot water, hopefully will have some tonight or tomorrow. Good job my Mum & Dad don't live far away, nice hot showers there!

On my 2 week wait but for some reason don't feel the tiniest bit hopeful even though we BD'd at the right time, not sure why I feel like this, but we will see!
