TTC after chemical pregnancy

I had a MC this Jan , 6 weeks and 1 day. Then I had a CP last Tuesday, 4 weeks and 6 days. I finally stopped bleeding today. Two pregnancies and two MCs so far.

I would like to know what your ttc experiences were like after CP. I admit I felt so lost when I saw the line getting fainter and I have been feeling very low and anxious for the last 7 days. However it is not healthy and it is time to be positive! So, I will be trying again this month. That is why I decided to start this thread.

Hi and yes second cycle post CP. Not convinced I will be lucky enough to conceive again this quick but we will see. I'm taking low dose aspirin this time.

Are you taking 75mg or 150 mg low dose aspirin? I am currently taking 75 mg.

OP posts:
Carportforme · 03/08/2024 23:27

Yep 75mg for me too. I only take it every other day. I dont think my stomach would tolerate 150 so if I do conceive and get to 12 weeks I will be having a conversation about it because I know they will want me on 150

YouveGotAFastCar · 04/08/2024 05:30

I don’t have the notifications anymore, I’m sorry @LucyCL. My watch is set to remove them when I take it off or I end up with hundreds. I thought I’d be able to find them somewhere but I can’t seem to. They say something like a significant change has been detected in your RHR compared to your 60 day average. It doesn’t give you any further info.

I think my HCG is dropping. I should be 13dpo today. Just taken a test with FMU and the line is so faint, but much fainter then 10dpo. It’s there, but if I hadn’t watched it like a hawk for the five minutes, I’d say it was an evap. No colour to it.

My period is due tomorrow and I’m expecting it to come. I’m regretting telling DH, and a close friend.

I see. I take it every day and I have not had any problems with it. Hopefully it will help implantation if there is a fertilised egg.

The line was more fainted which could be caused by more diluted FMU ? Your wrist temperature and RHR still remain elevated ? Also some people get fainter lines then they get darker lines after a few days. That is what I have read from CP/ line progression threads. Finger crossed 🤞

CD22 of the 3rd cycle post CP, 5 dpo
I had to turn on the fan last night because I was overheated. I had several vivid dreams. I also saw little dried up CM on my underwear last night.

From 2 dpo until yesterday, I had mild cramps. I wouldn’t have noticed them if I hadn’t been paying attention. I also expect myself to be very emotional today. Mood changes is normal in the luteal phase.

My E3G and PdG started to increase as expected.
I expect my PdG will reach its peak on 7DPO and also I expect to have a BBT dip caused by the second E3G rise on 8 DPO ( This is what happened last cycle).

Here is what I have found:
As progesterone and estrogen rise dramatically, you’re in for a rollercoaster of hormonal and physiological changes. While these hormones work in the background, an unfortunate side effect could be the classic irritability or mood swings.

So I am reaching the mid-luteal phase.😀

Hi all, this is the second cycle post CP for me and I think currently 1dpo but I'm not expecting to be pregnant this time as DH has been working away so timings didn't line up in terms of ovulation. Frustrating but nothing could be done about it so will just have to focus on next cycle... I've been taking additional CoQ10 this time alongside usual multivitamin and seed cycling which I will continue with next cycle.

Fingers crossed for everyone with the faint line I hope they progress for you 🤞 @Carportforme @YouveGotAFastCar

@LucyCL you definitely could get a ttc degree! Thanks for keeping us updated with your data and fingers crossed for you too this cycle

Carportforme · 04/08/2024 16:05

Good luck to you Northernsoul90 with your next cycle. Ipso hoping for good news for us all before the year is out again.

Fingers and toes crossed for your next cycle! Actually I was considering seed cycling two cycles ago but after doing some research, I decided to go for vitamin supplements.
Flaxseed and pumpkin seeds are good for estrogen boost whereas sunflower seeds and sesame seeds are good for progesterone boost. There is no harm taking them for the whole cycle, of course. However it is not enough for me.

"During the first (follicular) phase, practitioners recommend consuming flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds. These seeds contain plenty of zinc to help support healthy hormone balance 1 as well as omega-3 fats to regulate inflammation 2. They are high in substances called lignans, too. These function as natural, weak oestrogens and can help prevent your body’s oestrogen from climbing too high or from dropping too low 3. This condition is a common cause of PMS-related issues and is known as oestrogen dominance.

During the luteal phase, the emphasis is on eating sunflower and sesame seeds. These contain good levels of vitamin E and selenium. These nutrients can help support healthy progesterone levels. They’re also a rich source of lignans to continue balancing oestrogen levels."

Looks way better than last cycle. To boost progesterone, I take selenium, beetroot tablets, Vitamin E, C, Magnum, omega fish oil and multivitamin. I also eat 3 Brazilian nuts daily.
Didn't take the extra vitamin supplements so I had low E3G and PdG last cycle.

Just popped by to see how you're doing, @LucyCL. The charts look good! My fingers are crossed for you.

AF was due today for me, but no sign, and tests are still positive although not as dark as I'd like. I'll be 4 weeks on Wednesday, which is when I started testing negative again after my CP last time. I think I'll be more confident if I make it to the weekend and everything still looks okay.

I did call the EPU today to see if they'd recommend progesterone/aspirin/etc, but they said no. Progesterone is only prescribed if you're bleeding here, and they feel aspirin isn't needed, so... we'll see. I'm awful at this waiting bit. I'm trying to be optimistic but pragmatic but it's such a hard line to walk.

I can totally feel you! I wish you good luck with the line progression and never see blood during the wait!!
Thank you for sharing the information about aspirin/progesterone with me. That is true as long as you are not bleeding, progesterone is not needed. I have done some research on LDA and it can help blood flow better to the uterus, which is important for a baby's growth. Some study shows that more women who take LDA have better chance to conceive and continue to have a viable pregnancy.
I don't think I had low progesterone for my first pregnancy because I only started to bleed after running for 6 mins. I still think running caused the uterus to contract hence my 1st MC happened.
For my second one, I have this strong feeling that I might have low progesterone which might cause CP to happen because I had low progesterone and estrogen for the second cycle post CP. Who knows...

CBT and BBT are almost the same because I had uninterrupted sleep.
I used SMU for Mira, LH and HCG strips and I expect to see a small BBT dip tomorrow caused by the second estrogen surge.
Happy 2WW!😎

@YouveGotAFastCar It is better to check your HCG level from today then repeat the test every 48 -72 hours. If I were you, I would want to make sure it doubles every 48 - 72 hours. Fingers crossed!

I have been feeling gassy and bloated since 5 dpo and hot flashes returned to me last night so I had to turn on the fan. Today I still have hot flashes and they come and go.

Here is what I have found:
"Hot flashes occur from a decrease in estrogen levels. In response to this, your glands release higher amounts of other hormones that affect the brain's thermostat, causing your body temperature to fluctuate.

"Symptoms of low estrogen can include: Hot flashes, flushes, and night sweats are the most common symptoms of low estrogen. At times, blood rushes to your skin's surface. This can give you a feeling of warmth (hot flash)."

"What does Progesterone have to do with bloating?
As regular Hormonas will know, Progesterone is one of the female sex hormones. And it’s most famous for its role in the menstrual cycle and coordinating your periods.

Progesterone, though, can also affect other parts of your body. And that’s because it slows the movement of smooth muscles. Smooth muscles are the muscles in your internal organs over which you have no control. Think heartbeat, digestion, and the like.

As your Progesterone levels rise during the luteal phase of your cycle, it can slow down the movement of your gut. And that in turn can lead to feelings of reflux, bloating, constipation, and other gross digestive symptoms."

So I wonder if I had the second estrogen surge yesterday morning then it decreased slightly this morning? Again, I used SMU this morning because I drank more water than I usually do ... 😆 I always use FMU for Mira.

Yeah that might not be a bad idea!

Test today was good - SMU better than FMU, but I guess that's okay. I'm actually 4 weeks today, I'd calculated it wrong. RHR looks fine on the graph but it has a warning that it's "much higher than your normal range." Respiratory rate says it's "slightly higher than your normal range".

The previous two CPs happened tomorrow/Thursday in my other pregnancies. BBT plummeted tomorrow, and then I tested negative the next day. I'm worried about that!

Weirdly I also blamed running. Both times I was doing C25k. I've avoided running this time! I was planning to go for a swim tomorrow but I think I'll give it a miss.

Exciting that you are 7dpo already!! I'm 14dpo today!

There was a small BBT dip as expected. I used SMU which was very diluted for Mira. I ate a lot of ice cream last night so I had to pee at 4:40 a.m 😅
I am going to assume that I am out this month just to avoid disappointment and building up any unnecessary expectations. I did have night sweats and had to turn on the fan to cool down.
I am happy that at least this cycle is on track which means the fourth cycle after CP will be better.

DH has 1% normal morphology and he takes 1 Impryl tablet every day. So, to be honest, I am also expecting that I might not fall that quickly because of his 1% normal morphology. If I still don't get a BFP after 3 months, we will do the sperm analysis to see if his morphology has improved.
Now I will be waiting with calm for AF to show up this Sunday. Fingers crossed for the next cycle! 💙

15 dpo today, based on first LH surge and 11 based on second. No sign of AF or any symptoms. Negative pregnancy test so I’m thinking likely I ovulated on second surge and AF will arrive next week. Who knows! 😬

YouveGotAFastCar · 07/08/2024 10:11

Test today was okay! Progression looks good. I did have a BBT drop last night, though. It's only from my Apple Watch so could be for a lot of reasons - I had a lot more broken sleep, I didn't have the duvet on, etc, but it looks ominously similar to the CP cycle now, so I'm feeling quite anxious this morning. I'll add a graph as I know you like data!

Tests are good, though, so I'm trying to reassure myself on that point. I don't know how they were last time but I suspect they'd got lots fainter by now so I'd stopped taking photos, and my watch is still reporting that my RHR and Respiratory heart rate are outside of the normal range, so that's reassuring.

I got my booking in & first midwife appointments through today, and I think I'll take a Clearblue at some point at the weekend and if that's all fine, stop testing. I'll be 5 weeks on Monday.

My fingers are crossed for you both for this cycle x

YouveGotAFastCar · 07/08/2024 10:12

Would help if I attached the graph, I guess!
