TTC after chemical pregnancy

I had a MC this Jan , 6 weeks and 1 day. Then I had a CP last Tuesday, 4 weeks and 6 days. I finally stopped bleeding today. Two pregnancies and two MCs so far.

I would like to know what your ttc experiences were like after CP. I admit I felt so lost when I saw the line getting fainter and I have been feeling very low and anxious for the last 7 days. However it is not healthy and it is time to be positive! So, I will be trying again this month. That is why I decided to start this thread.

@LucyCL Thank you for the information, that's really interesting... the female body blows my mind 😂 I'm trying to take on your positive mindset and just try and let go of expectations. I'm one to symptom spot but I'm just trying to resist and not read too much into things otherwise I'll just get disheartened if AF arrives.

Just read about your supplements, do you take them as a multivitamin or separately? Has anyone on here tried Zita West? I didn't know whether to try their supplements but they are pricey so I'm unsure.

I used to do symptom spotting which got me nowhere. 😆
Based on the previous blood test results, I have found out that I need to take extra vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin D, Zinc, Magnesium and Beetroot Extract tablets separately.

So you have asked the right person about ZitaWest products!
Currently I am taking VitalDHA Omega 3 fish Oil, Vitafem and Kaneka Ubiquino CoQ10. My DH is taking Vitamen, VitalDHA Omega 3 fish Oil and Kaneka Ubiquino CoQ10.
Once I run out of Vitafem, I will start taking Zita west pregnancy plan tablets.
Also I take Zita West's oral vitamin D spray daily

CD34 11 dpo
BBT dropped, still above baseline. LH has risen which is really interesting. LH was below 10 on the same dpo last cycle.
I got my AF on 13 dpo last cycle so I would have to wait for one or two more days.
It is nice to know when things are coming to an end. 😁

Update: Well, I know you are not supposed to measure BBT anytime but I did measure it at 16:00 and it was 36.61 degrees. So, I expect to have AF tomorrow. Cannot wait to start the third cycle after CP!😆

This time I'd expect to have a normal one, like ovulating a bit earlier and shorter cycle length. My cycles used to last for 27 -32 days before MCs. The previous 2 cycles plus this one have been really long for me, 34 days!

I don't expect to see light spotting in the new cycle. Let's hope it was just one off thing because the second cycle after CP was still slightly affected by CP. My body failed to ovulate for 4 times and I had 11 days of "High" from the CBFM which was not normal at all.

I am now sharing the wrist temperature and RHR charts to conclude the end of the 2WW of the second cycle after CP.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Good luck for tomorrow; @LucyCL.

I’m struggling tonight. For the baby that wasn’t, for all the friends that are due soon, for the vivid dreams of babies and twins… I just feel so sad about it all.

CD5 today. Any advice?

Carportforme · 13/07/2024 22:21

Hi there, I take Zita West.. I have the pre conception and the best ones and their Omega 3. Only on my second month of taking them so tge onlybthing I can say so far is that I have no side effects and you are right, they are xxxxx expensive !!

To be honest, although I truly feel very positive about the new cycle however I still cannot avoid feeling blah sometimes. Today I actually cried because I was not sure if the third cycle after CP was going to be a normal one. 😕
I was also looking back at myself one cycle ago (5 weeks ago) and myself when CP happened (10 weeks ago). I remember how I felt on both days and that is why I know it is only going to get better from here, physically and emotionally.
If you do the same like me, you'd realise that you are getting better. Maybe you still feel like you are struggling but you will find yourself struggle less and less or have fewer sad moments as time goes by.
I thought about the future me at the end of the third cycle and imagined how she would see me today. She would probably think that it was silly for me to cry because the third cycle actually turned out to be a normal one. 😀

My advice for you is to allow yourself to feel blah sometimes but also think of the whole ttc after CP experience in a different way. I will be here if you need someone to talk to. You are not alone!💗

My plan for the third cycle after CP

CD3: Female hormone level blood test, PCOS blood test and scan, Comprehensive blood test

On 20/7/24, DH is going to take a Comprehensive Semen Analysis, DNA Fragmentation Test (Halosperm) and Sperm Photographs. I feel quite confident about the quality of his sperm because I got pregnant twice. However the result will provide us peace of mind.

Will use OvuSense, CBFM and LH strips. Oral BBT and Mira will be treated as second opinions. Will experiment Preseed and softdisc. Will dtd daily as usual.

Might try taking myo inositol and Angus castus to promote ovulation. 😊

Late ovulation means you ovulate anytime after day 21 of your cycle and it can have a negative impact on the quality of your eggs and your ability to conceive.
The post CP cycle: I ovulated on CD22
BFN
The second cycle after CP: I ovulated on CD23
BFN

What causes late ovulation?
Late ovulation is usually caused by hormonal imbalances which may be temporary or long-term, depending on the cause. In my case, 2 MCs ( 1 MC in March and 1 CP in May).

Hormonal Imbalances
Fluctuations in hormones, such as a high level of estrogen or low levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), can disrupt the ovulation process and lead to a delay.

late ovulation may result in a lower quality egg being released – which can hinder the implantation process.

For my 1st BFP cycle , I ovulated on CD15
For my 2nd BFP cycle, I ovulated on CD17

In conclusion, the reason why I didn’t get pregnant the previous and this cycles could be bad quality egg caused by late ovulation.

Here is something to remember: the third cycle after CP also might not be normal. I shall not have expectations.
I did expect this second cycle after CP to be normal but it was not. That is also why I felt very anxious while I was waiting for my LH surge day.
I will not do this again. Take it day by day. 💙

Hello, I had a CM in Jan and an MC in May, neither were planned but after years of no success we assumed it would never happen so did not exercise caution. However, finding out it could happen was mind blowing and then devastating for us both when it went wrong. So, we decided to give it a proper planned try and I am currently 2dpo, had the LH so know I ovulated and bbt still up, so just need to be patient and try not to overthink, which I'm clearly failing at as typing here!!!

Wow, we both had our 2 MCs in the first half of the year! I am sorry for your two losses! Has this been your third cycle since your MC in May? How did you find your cycles after MCs? Long? Late ovulation? LH fluctuations?
I really hope you will get your rainbow baby this month!
After 2 MCs, I have become more patient and told myself not to have any expectations. Fingers crossed for you!

Hi, I had severe cramps at end of May on the bank holiday, then 2 days later started to miscarry which was confirmed by the doctor. I had not wanted to keep doing tests after I first tested positively but did test with a digital test on the Friday which was still positive but by the Sunday before the bank holiday, my symptoms started to fade, so I knew it was going to happen. I then had a period 26 days after the MC started, so sooner than I had expected. This month, I am due on 21st if everything is back in sync. According to the clear blue advanced ovulation kit, peak indicated that I would have ovulated on the 17th day, so a little later than 14 but not too late to be none viable, so will have to wait and see. I will test if late….

ThisSparklyDog · 14/07/2024 18:33

@LucyCL thank you for the kind words. Good luck to you too, and everyone else here ttc.

Northernsoul90 · 14/07/2024 20:20

Thank you @LucyCL @Carportforme for the ZitaWest feedback I may try it next cycle I've heard good things.

@LucyCL Sending you lots of luck and baby dust for this new cycle ✨

Thats interesting about late ovulation and lower quality eggs...with my first ever pregnancy I ovulated CD19 and resulted in MMC. My next successful pregnancy I ovulated CD16. The last pregnancy I had which was a chemical I had ovulated CD19. This time I think I ovulated CD20. My usual cycle I ovulate day 19/20 and they last around 32 days but I don't have a clue what will happen this cycle as it's the first since CP. I don't know if there is a correlation there between ovulating later and the miscarriages it may just be coincidence as it is normal for me to ovulate at that time and is not quite classed as 'late' at CD19/20. The cycle that I had my pregnancy with DD I just randomly ovulated earlier than usual. I'm trying not to put any expectations on this cycle as it's my first since last miscarriage although it is hard.

Im thinking is AF appears this time to look at ZitaWest and specifically a supplement for egg health. I also really need to clean up my diet it's been shocking for the last few months I need to feel healthier for going into another pregnancy.

@ThisSparklyDog Im so sorry for your losses, it really is hard. I struggle with this too and I am someone who symptoms spots, tests a lot etc but I'm really trying to refrain and take the pressure off as it just ends up winding me up and then feeling more gutted when AF appears. I find it helps me if I come up with a positive plan for the next cycle, just little things to try and improve my chances so this next cycle I'm going to improve my diet and look for some egg health supplements. Also I try to read or find a good series to watch so I'm not constantly consumed by TTC. Wishing you lots of luck for this cycle ☘️

Wishing you lots of luck in your next cycle, well done for staying so positive throughout.. you’ve definitely helped me keep a positive mindset. I also think it’s so empowering how much you’ve got to understand your body.

I’m 7DPO today and believe I’ve just got a vvfl on an e@h test 😬 My nausea seemed to ramp up this weekend so decided to do a test as we’ve just got back from being away. My nausea started on 5th but my ovulation day was down as 7th according to Premom, I now think this must be wrong?

I actually don’t know how I feel (not to be ungrateful at all)… very happy obviously but also feel so so paranoid that it’s going to be CP again. Or maybe the line is wrong!! I think I’ll do a FRER in the morning with FMU. The anxiety is now another level, definitely a tricky one to navigate.

My LH level seems to have risen this evening, any idea why this would be?

Thank you so much for all your advice over the last few weeks, has helped me so much ❤️

@CJ2021 That is a definite line it's not even that squinty! It's definitely there congratulations! So pleased for you. It's so nerve wracking isn't it I would be the same but just try and let go of what's happened in the past and treat this as a completely fresh start (easier said than done).

I think with OPKs they can't tell the difference between LH and HCG so actually pick up the HCG on the tests as LH if that makes sense. So you see a dark line as if you're ovulating but it's actually detecting the HCG! It doesn't happen the other way round with pregnancy tests though they can only detect HCG.

I see. This is your second cycle after MC. I found my second cycle a bit dragging especially when I was waiting for LH surge. I had 10/11 highs from CBFM then finally got my peak. It was like my body was trying to ovulate but failed miserably for 4 times. It also happened in the first cycle. Hopefully this new cycle I will ovulate earlier than CD21.
