TTC after chemical pregnancy

I had a MC this Jan , 6 weeks and 1 day. Then I had a CP last Tuesday, 4 weeks and 6 days. I finally stopped bleeding today. Two pregnancies and two MCs so far.

I would like to know what your ttc experiences were like after CP. I admit I felt so lost when I saw the line getting fainter and I have been feeling very low and anxious for the last 7 days. However it is not healthy and it is time to be positive! So, I will be trying again this month. That is why I decided to start this thread.

This is where I’m at. Both LH and BBT fluctuation (still not keen on temping but will carry on just because). Still flashing on CB (6th day!) but hopeful to get peak this week some point and then the TWW begins

Yes, they are expensive! 😅Mira sticks are also not cheap. But for a data lover who had 2 MCs, it is a necessary expense. 😂

I see a gradual increase in LH if I only focus on the trend. BBT is really useful to confirm ovulation.

CD 21 evening
It is a positive and I believe it will last all day tomorrow.
So that makes next Tuesday the O day and next Wednesday 1 dpo.
I will keep BD'ing every day until 5 dpo (7/7/24), just in case.

got my static this morning on CB (CD17) so will be interesting to see my LH strips as on my BFP month I got a static on the same day but my e@h didn’t surge until 3 days later.

my BBT also went down slightly but I’m not sure I trust the CB monitor on it’s own to tell me today is peak

@LucyCL here are my CB digital sticks. Bottom one is peak static and everything from CD11 - CD16 is flashy.

The LH line is darker than the estrogen line. Ignore the numbers as they mean zero as it’s not test and control but interesting to see!

Hope you don’t mind me joining you guys here (I know I’ve spoken to you @LucyCL already ☺️) I’m on CD10, first cycle after CP. Finding that it’s all I can think/read about so would be great to have some company.

Wondering if O day will be delayed, currently meant to be next Saturday. Going to be DTD everyday regardless, just don’t want to somehow miss it.

My cycle after CP was a bit messy. I ovulated CD30 and normally have 29-32 day cycles. But I think I still had some HCG in my system for the first 2 weeks of that cycle (which ended up being 46 days!). we missed the DTD boat because I didn’t think ovulation was going to happen to late!

but lots of people bounce back pretty quickly! I think I’m in the minority but seems my cycles are back to normal now.

try not to read too much into other people’s experiences. I know it’s hard but be kind to yourself! I was gutted I didn’t get pregnant first cycle after CP/MC but also took me a lot longer to recover

Today is officially the peak day. So the O day will indeed be tomorrow (CD23).
Mira and OvuSense both confirm it. My BBT has not increased yet.
One interesting thing I've noticed is LH surge and BBT dip happen at the same day in my case. But this is not important.
Will test LH this afternoon/tonight to see if it changes.

My cycles are usually 29-32 days. This is the first time I’ve actually used OPKs so I don’t really know when I usually peak. With my DS I used the flo app and got pregnant while trying in my first likely conception period. This time around I did the same and conceived again, but ending in CP this time. I’m 37 now so am panicking a bit that my age isn’t on my side.

The bleeding stopped last Tuesday and I was testing negative again by Thursday. But I have had a bit of pregnancy nausea since then so wonder if it’s taken a bit of time for the HCG to drop as you say.

It is so reassuring to know I’m not alone in this. Just hope we all get that BFP soon

The peak day: All hormone level increase. A mini BBT dip and a LH surge.

I do think that taking maca powder and cupules daily has delayed my ovulation again.
Post CP cycle: CD22
The second cycle: CD23

Now I have stopped taking it and I think you are supposed to stop it on/before the O day.😁

I am really curious about your easy at home LH strip. I remember the last time when I a static smile was also the day of LH peak.
My O day will be tomorrow if my LH peak only lasts for 1 day.😀

Welcome! When I had my CP, I couldn't find any CP related threads which were updated daily so I decided to start one myself. You can say this thread is our diary after CP. 😃 Everyone can post their updates whenever they want here.
Looking at your T/C ratio kinda reminds me of mine during the post CP cycle.
I have read lots of CP threads online and most people found their LH fluctuating A LOT, including mine. BUT!! Some people ovulated on time or earlier after their CP and you could be one of them.
Unfortunately for me, I ovulated very late on CD22. My cycle usually lasts for 31 - 34 days and my luteal phase lasts for 11-12 days so it makes sense to ovulate on CD22. 34 - 12 = 22 😅
I will ovulate on CD23 this second cycle and this is still within normal range. I expect this cycle to last for 35 days.
I totally agree with you on BDing every day. I have started to dtd since I finished my AF and will continue to do so until 5 DPO. I want to make sure all my fertile window is covered. You can consider using Conceive Plus lube which helped me to conceive twice.

if your peak lasts for a few days, what day do you count as O day? I read it's only the first positive that matters!

BFP cycle i only had 1 day of positives
CP cycle about 3 😂 so not sure it counts because my body was a mess

The average luteal phase for most people is 12 days.
Your cycle last for 29 -32 days.
29-12 = 17
32- 12 = 20

So I assume you will hit the peal between CD17 and CD20.

I hate uncertainty and that is why I bought lots of devices to help me to find out what is going on inside my body. 😅This thread is also about using different devices to understand our body a bit better.

I am 34 and will be 35 this November. I have done all the health checks and the fertility assessment and everything came back normal. Still, I had 2 MCs. Our technology is not that advanced to find out why some of them happened including CPs.
If we didn't have the tools to test HCG at home, we wouldn't have found out that it was a CP either. It could just have been a "heavy period" for us.
If you are worried about your age, you can do a fertility MOT to find out if everything is normal.
But the fact is you fell pregnant so easily which is good. I assume you are fine and will have no problems of conceiving in the near future!

I got the peak very late last night and yes it was still technically the first day of LH surge however my BBT hasn't risen yet this morning so I only count today as the peak day.
BBT will rise sharply when you ovulate. It is not the case for me.
Your CP cycle was a mess 😅but this cycle I am confident that you will have 1 day of positive.

It’s gone up to 0.55 which isn’t quite peak but almost there… hopefully later today? Will test again around 3ish and then again before bed just to see what happens!

I'm 5DPO today. Slight BBT drop today but nowhere near baseline, and I'd been awake for half an hour or so before I remembered to turn sleep mode off, so I'm not worried. I'll probably test on Friday 😬

Still increasing! I moved my morning one up to .6 as I felt it was darker than .55 in comparison to the .51! Ultimately… it’s still a negative so doesn’t matter 😂

It makes sense. Maybe apps putting the O day the day after is like a ‘buffer’. If I tested 7am in the morning, I could theoretically ovulate by 8pm in the evening. Flo counts 2 days after as 1dpo which is annoying.

it is only a day out and after you get a BFP I guess it doesn’t matter so much.. just makes people more impatient to test 😂

I would still count tomorrow as 1dpo.
