TTC after chemical pregnancy

I had a MC this Jan , 6 weeks and 1 day. Then I had a CP last Tuesday, 4 weeks and 6 days. I finally stopped bleeding today. Two pregnancies and two MCs so far.

I would like to know what your ttc experiences were like after CP. I admit I felt so lost when I saw the line getting fainter and I have been feeling very low and anxious for the last 7 days. However it is not healthy and it is time to be positive! So, I will be trying again this month. That is why I decided to start this thread.

@GreenPickle Mira shows there is an increase in LH but there is a huge drop in RHR this morning.

@LucyCL looks like ovulation is super close with drop in temp and increase in LH. What you thinking? Although I assume your temp will fluctuate until an LH spike!

A BBT dip before Ovulation , is it scientific? I did check my previous BBT changes for the past cycles and they fluctuated a lot so I couldn't tell if there were actually dips or not. But this cycle it is my first time to see this dip...😅

Also I am using 3 apps to track my BBT and that is why it is so obvious this cycle! 😂

Here is what I found:

During the first half of your cycle, the main sex hormone present is estrogen. This hormone is associated with the things that make us feel good when we’re ovulating and the days leading up to getting your period, i.e., increased energy levels, high sex drive, and clear skin. However, it's the luteinizing hormone (LH) that’s responsible for triggering ovulation itself.

Right before ovulation, progesterone levels also start to rise. After ovulation, estrogen levels drop off, while progesterone hormone levels stay high for the latter part of the menstrual cycle, before dropping off before your period arrives. A change in hormone levels at the end of the cycle is thought to be responsible for symptoms commonly associated with PMS, such as sluggishness and irritability.

Progesterone is an important hormone in early pregnancy as it helps with the implantation of a fertilized female egg cell and helps get the body ready for pregnancy. While you’ll see a dip in temperature before your period begins, those who are pregnant may notice their temperature stays higher due to the presence of this hormone.

Another one I found:

As you can see from this example curve, there are curves where the last value before ovulation (see arrow) is significantly lower than most other days measured before. The reason for this is the increased estrogen level shortly before ovulation.

Good to know: This is the ideal day for sexual intercourse if you want to conceive.

Update: After getting a BBT dip this morning, my LH line got darker this afternoon which means ovulation is on the way. It'd be interesting to see a sharp rise in the next 3 days.

We’re similar this cycle, @LucyCL - I’m CD15 today and had got a dark Easy@Home yesterday afternoon. BBT has risen slightly overnight, and is now marked with the red diamond of “possible ovulation” on FF…

Presuming I ovulate today; my two week wait will end the day before my birthday. I’m hoping it’s positive but also think I’ll be very nervous if it is; given what happened last cycle.

I’ve been too slow off the mark this month but I’m going to get Ovusense or Tempdrop for next cycle if this one doesn’t work out; I think. Would you recommend either over the other?

My fingers are crossed for us both!

GreenPickle · 24/06/2024 09:23

@LucyCL mine this AM. Got a low on CB which is as expected! Don’t think I’ll get flashing until end of week!

Yes, I expect us to feel anxious and nervous for this 2WW and even more so if we get BFPs. I had a MC before this CP. When I got the 2nd BFP, I kept wiping down there to see if there was blood. Now CP happened, I would be more anxious😅
I also feel quite positive for this new cycle. I hope the next BFP is going to stick for all of us here.
After using Temdrop and OvuSense for a while with the help of other data sources such as oral BBT , wrist temperature and RHR, I like OvuSense better. There is always at least one data source which matches OvuSense.

Today is CD15.
There is an increase in wrist temperature, oral BBT and mira chart which matches a sharp increase in OvuSense. The Temdrop actually showed a drop.

I do feel like OvuSense is the most reliable data source to track ovulation.

If I remember it correctly, you told me that you ovulated around CD21 normally. That was your "normal" before CP. However it does mean this week is your fertile window. Keep BD'ing and testing LH! 😊

Yesss, it looks like I could ovulate slightly earlier? Will see what the CB says tomorrow! Although expecting blank circles for the rest of the week…

is your cb monitor still saying high?

Yes, my CB fertility monitor still says High.
Today is CD15, the fourth day of "High". Based on my prediction, I should get "Peak" on CD16 and CD17 then "High" on CD18.
Let's see if it is correct. Today's mira chart is definitely supporting this prediction.

I do think that you could ovulate earlier.

I feel like I definitely do not have enough tracking things to be here 😆

I'm just doing Apple Watch BBT (sketchy at best!) and E@H sticks. I thought yesterday afternoon's was going to be peak, but this morning's was even darker, which husband is not disappointed at 😆

I've got my fingers crossed for us all. This bit always feels quite exciting because of the possibility, but the 2WW really drags...

It is good to know that we are not alone, please keep us updated when you have the LH surge and how you feel during this 2ww. I will also update mine. 😁

Just had a video call with the doctor to talk about the test result of my fertility assessment which I did a week ago (CD8).

  1. Nothing wrong with the scan and the blood test result
  2. The paraovarian cyst will stay with me for a long long long time and it will not go away. I shouldn't worry about it.
  3. Vitamin D, folic acid and the prenatal vitamins are important. In other words, I shall only take them because I don't know what other vitamin supplements will do to my body.
  4. I have a high AMH - 48pmo/L. It doesn't mean I have PCOS. It matches the scan - 20 follicles in the left ovary and 25 in the right one.

Here is what I found:
About the AMH Test
The Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) test is the best test currently available to estimate ovarian reserve, and indicate the possibility of early fertility loss. However, it cannot show who is more fertile than average, nor does it predict ovarian reserve in women with Polycystic Ovaries (PCOs).

It is a single blood test that can be done at any time during the menstrual cycle.
It can also help predict how many eggs you are likely to obtain in an IVF cycle.
It may also identify women who may undergo early menopause, and therefore who may lose their fertility earlier than average.

The doctor said that I shall continue ttc and it is better to check DH's semen if further investigation is needed in the future, for example, if I have the third early pregnancy loss.

Thought of the day - How I track ovulation

I will recommend the following devices/apps

OvuSense: you put the sensor inside your vagina when you go to sleep and it will measure BBT overnight. I also measure Oral BBT however it is affected by many external factors so I normally use it for a second pinion. You have to pay for 1 year subscription for OvuSense and the sensor will collect data from the first cycle and pinpoint the O day 3 days later you ovulated. For the second cycle, it will let you know the fertile window and the O day. Currently I inputted the post CP cycle as the first cycle and entered the date of CP and the O day manually. This cycle is now the second cycle however I only started to use it from CD9 so it does not know that I am about to ovulate.

CB fertility monitor: It detects a rise in Estrogen 5 days before the O day. You have to register your new cycle between C1 and CD4 otherwise it doesn't work (I don't know why but this is something you have to keep in your mind)

Easy at home LH strips: They are good for visual however your urine has to concentrated. Make sure you drink little after 5 p.m. You can also use Premom to identify the daily T/C ratio to determine if your LH levels are rising.

Other devices and apps I use are Temdrop, Mira, Proov, Flo, Health app on Iphone and my apple watch which measures daily RHR and Wrist temperature.

Premom is good for charting BBT and seeing if LH levels are rising however you can not adjust the O day. This is what normally happens: when there is a sudden rise in BBT and premom immediately sets the day as the O day. Then my BBT keeps rising and premom still doesn't adjust the O day. However on the day of LH surge, I use the app to take the picture of the LH strip and it is shown as peak then the app resets the O day to the exact day.

To do BBT charting, Fertility Friend is recommended. But I haven't used it.

Some useful and positive things:
You will feel positive some days and blah for other days. It is normal. There are two things I have learnt: Never look back. Never compare yourself to others.

Look forward and do the things you like!

I plan to update daily from the O day until the end of 2WW of the second cycle after CP: symptoms and hcg and LH line progression. The preferred outcome is of course a BFP however I am ready and feeling positive for anything.
I will also start a new tread for the same update. So far I haven't seen or found any threads. I am sure people have done it and it is just that I haven't found them yet. 😅

CD16 Interesting event!
Everything was on track until today. My BBT stays elevated and today is CD16. I expected to have LH surge but instead LH level has decreased a bit. I am not surprised about it because my body failed to attempt to ovulate for 3 times before I got LH surge last cycle after CP.

However I didn't expect to see a bit of fresh blood in the tissue when I wiped down there. So I inserted the tampon just to make sure it was real. It is indeed blood. I believe I am spotting.

I have never experienced it during mid cycle and I have checked everything about my body and my hormone levels which are all normal.

Does anyone know what is happening to me?

@LucyCL how strange! Have you googled it at all? It looks like fresh blood as opposed to old brown.

i saw you made a thread so I will keep an eye on that as well.

what is your CB monitor telling you? And LH strips?

YouveGotAFastCar · 25/06/2024 08:58

I think mid-cycle bleeding can be hormonal? I've only ever had it once or twice.

My LH has decreased today, but BBT dropped slightly, so FF has removed it's "potential ovulation" marker. I'm not sure that it's too accurate - it often takes me a minute or so after I wake up to remember to take my phone off sleep mode - but I was feeling so confident!

Premom is recording this as a really long streak of highs for me, too. Usually I only get one high and one peak reading but I've had two days worth now, four tests. This morning is decreasing but still high.

What I wouldn't give to know what's happening 🙈 I'm struggling with being surrounded by pregnancy/baby stuff.

Do you have any charts/opks to share? Would be interesting to see 🫶

feel ya with the pregnancy stuff! A close friend announced her pregnancy and she has the same due date we would have had so it’s been a crap year overall. A tough pill to swallow but can only move forwards really!

No, I couldn't find anything related to the mid cycle spotting of the second cycle after CP, maybe too specific?😂
It is fresh blood which is new to me. I did say that I was ready and feeling positive for anything and that is still correct. But I didn't expect to see spotting 😅
My CB fertility monitor still says "High" and my LH level dropped but not that much. That is why I am not super concerned yet.

One more thing - last night when I inserted OvuSense inside, I felt slippery and wet.
So, it could be ovulation spotting???????

@LucyCL i think it was ovulation bleeding! hopefully it goes away today (not sure how it will affect sex!). Your e@h is looking fine - always going to be fluctuations. I reckon peak tomorrow!

keep an eye on it and just test again tomorrow - annoyingly nothing else you can do 😫
