TTC after chemical pregnancy

I had a MC this Jan , 6 weeks and 1 day. Then I had a CP last Tuesday, 4 weeks and 6 days. I finally stopped bleeding today. Two pregnancies and two MCs so far.

I would like to know what your ttc experiences were like after CP. I admit I felt so lost when I saw the line getting fainter and I have been feeling very low and anxious for the last 7 days. However it is not healthy and it is time to be positive! So, I will be trying again this month. That is why I decided to start this thread.

@Joleyjojo so interesting to see! Please let us know if everything matches up!

i found last month my CB digital was 3 weeks off 😂 but I think it turned static because there was still HGC left and my true surge was CD30.

the month I was preggo, it gave me a peak on CD17 and then LH strips went positive CD20. Which, whilst it is still a bit out, it helped time the sex nicely.

this my first month using BBT so will be interesting to see if it all lines up/when I ovulate after a surge (I feel like I missed the boat last month because it came so late so we stopped dtd about a week before!)

I wear it internally every night and register it in the morning. As long as you have slept for 4 hours the temps are accurate.

I don’t use it to predict ovulation I use it to show I have ovulated if that makes sense. I used OPKs to judge my actual surge which then marry up with the temp rise.

it does give you a fertile window based on previous cycles but my cycles vary so much.

as long as my temps stay up after ovulation I feel safe to stop DTD for a bit.

I will be using it with my CB monitor this month and OPKs just to see if it is the same.

many say just relax it will happen, but with my age etc I will need all the help indication I can get

i have attached a screen shot just for info. I like to know when AF is coming from the drop saves me the heartache of doing any tests and seeing the BFN.

xx

What a valuable insight! Yes, I am a person who likes to know what my body is doing and predict what is going to happen next. Your experience and chart have definitely provided me a starting point to combine using OvuSense with my other OPKs. Thank you very much!

@LucyCL ooo, are you due to ovulate this week then?

no, won’t be buying one! I find myself becoming obsessive and not good for me
mentally!

The LH strips and BBT will have to do for me as anything around that is just DTD which is the only thing I can control!

but I love hearing people’s little anecdotes about TTC and devices!

this month I’m going to try and relax more and stress less (lol) and maybe use headspace to just focus myself! I’m trying not to put any pressure on myself but it’s hard as i feel like a bit embarrassed whenever i don’t get a BFP

I used the CB fertility monitor last cycle and I didn't get an estrogen surge until CD 17. Now it has the data of the past cycle so it has moved the start date of testing LH from CD5 to CD 9. It makes sense.
I like reading about people's ttc experience with the help of the devices! Plus I also like to experiment them myself for FUN and curiosity! 😆
I will take a more relaxing approach - treating ttc as my science project with the help of the devices.
There is no need to feel a bit embarrassed because there is a 25% chance of getting pregnant. Even I did BD every day until my O day, I still didn't get a BFP last cycle. It is all science and a bit of luck.

@LucyCL ohh I see! Tbh, your last cycle might have been a one off because of the CP but I still think CD9 is a good day to start as double you’ll ovulate before that!

it’s frustrating for sure not being able to pinpoint exactly why it happened but ultimately, onwards and upwards for this next cycle ❤️

LucyCL · 18/06/2024 13:42

Update:
I did the fertility assessment yesterday afternoon.
The ultrasound showed everything was fine. I have a paraovarian cyst close to my right ovary and I felt it a few times when I got a BFP before CP happened. It is totally harmless so I am relieved.
My right ovary has 25 follicles and my left one has 20. They are both good numbers, according to the doctor.
I asked if I had PCOS and the doctor said it might appear like that however the scan was not used for diagnosing PCOS.
I also did a blood test for checking my ovarian reserve (I assume it was AMH)

Although I don't have PCOS symptoms, I booked a Ultimate Performance Blood Test and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Blood Test on Medichecks for peace of mind.
There will be a follow up appointment with the doctor next Monday.
So far so good.

I started to use Ovusense and I have found some useful information on the official website.
This is my first cycle with this device so I will not be able to find out when I will ovulate but only 3 days later.
I will also try using Temdrop from today. It'd be interesting to see and compare with Ovusense.

@LucyCL bbt and apple looks like it follows a similar pattern but not exactly duplicates. Will be interesting to see how it looks over ovulation

LucyCL · 18/06/2024 16:07

CD9: Mira shows that my LH and FSH levels are gradually increasing which is a good sign whereas during the post CP cycle, my LH level kept fluctuating.

Yes, I will also add the Temdrop chart to compare with other charts from tomorrow. 😆

@LucyCL CD4 today. Haven’t done BBT (I’m away and didn’t bring it with me) or OPK.

LH was fairly high CD1. Maybe because of AF? The second OPK is a new batch as well so the control line dye looks slightly different.

I don’t have a previous normal cycle to compare it to as I’ve only ever started testing around CD8.

will take test daily tomorrow and from CD10 onwards, will do it AM and PM.

LH was high on CD1 because of AF (I had the same experience). Looks like your LH levels will continue to go down until AF is finished.

I can tell my BBT is going up however RHR tells a different story

The comparison between the second cycle after the 1st MC and the second cycle after the 2nd MC (also CP)

CD1 was 3/4/24 and CD8 was 10/4/24.
CD10 was 12/4/24 and LH T/C ratio was 0.41

So today is CD10: LH T/C ratio is 0.25

LH levels were higher in the 2nd cycle after the 1st MC than the current cycle.

@LucyCL i wouldn’t compare between the two cycles! Whilst the numbers are helpful, at the end of the day, the test is either ‘positive’ or ‘negative’. There will never be a fair test unless you eat and drink exactly the same thing each day of each cycle.

it’s easy to get anxious and compare from previous cycles but take this cycle as a new one or you’ll never have peace.

just focus on this cycle and on today 🙏

have you been doing CB monitor?

I should put a note above my PC saying "STOP comparing! STOP using the past data!" to remind me not to make the same mistake again ... Old habits die hard especially for a person who loves data!
The CB fertility monitor says "Low" and it didn't detect a rise in estrogen which matches Mira chart.
I shall wait patiently ...

A reminder for myself: I will focus on the trend and not the figures. Do not use the past data to compare. 😅

@LucyCL good to see that the gadgets are all agreeing with each other.

Did the CB and e@h strips give peak same day last cycle? It looks like everything is in sync so there’s no second guessing for each gadget 😁

looks like Apple Watch and BBT aren’t as similar as I thought they would be!

YouveGotAFastCar · 19/06/2024 12:55

Nah, I suspect it’s a bit of a con really… it makes you feel like you’re doing something. I need to sort out another way of tracking!

OPKs tend to work well for me, but it is nice to have other data sources.

GreenPickle · 19/06/2024 13:14

@YouveGotAFastCar i do try and track BBT now but haven’t done it past couple of days.

i am enjoying the OPK strips (plus i use the CB digital one just so I can have a range of days to DTD on and know I’m not missing it!).

they were 3 days out from each other first cycle but I think more than anything that just helped me to time the sex better. I got a BFP and then last cycle I think it went to peak straight away due to HCG still being in my urine as my true peak wasn’t until 3 weeks later lol 🥲🥲🥲

will be using them from cd10ish this month!

LucyCL · 19/06/2024 16:19

@GreenPickle @YouveGotAFastCar I also thought that BBT would match RHR and wrist temperature...
So at this moment, I am more inclined to trust OvueSense ( tracking BBT internally), LH strips and CB Fertilty monitor.
The thermometer would be a second opinion.
