Should I prepare for the worse?

Hi ladies. I'm currently 13DPO. AF is due on Wednesday. I got a vv faint positive at 9/10DPO. Iv had 3 consecutive miscarriages so my anxiety is through the roof. Going to call EPAU this morning as I can self refer. These are my latest test (the digi was taken yesterday at 12DPO) just looking for a bit of support, re assurance or for some honesty.

Hey lovely, have you noticed any slight progression from yesterday to today? Such an anxious time, thinking of you ❤️

littlepanda88 · 08/04/2024 07:58

Yes maybe try another test today and compare? Sometimes the progression isn't very obvious though, I know it's only natural to worry but fingers crossed everything is ok :-) the digital tests are not as sensitive so the fact you got a positive on that is a good sign too!

That’s a good sign! 🤞🏻

JNicko · 08/04/2024 09:17

I really hope so. I rang gynae outpatient this morning for advise as I'm now referred and she said she's going to call me back today after she's spoken to consultant. X

Early pregnancy unit just called me. They can’t scan me until I’m 6 weeks so they have booked me in for one then which is 23/04. If it’s still ok then they can pescribe me progesterone. So keeping everything crossed

It's agonising, isn't it? The waiting game. It's absolutely normal to be anxious, but hopefully you'll get some good news soon. Keep us posted. I've got everything crossed for you!

LW678 · 08/04/2024 12:20

@JNicko I’ve just booked mine in for the 26th! What a horrible wait this will be for us both!

Yes it's so agonising. The days drag past 😩I'm keeping everything crossed for this one but also keeping a level head and taking each day at a time x

Very sensible, @JNicko . It was bad enough years ago when I went through it. Pregnancy testing could only happen when you missed a period and there was no internet. I know it seems better now, but I think women have more opportunities for anxiety!

I totally agree. I wish early pregnancy tests wasn't a thing! It would definitely remove a lot of anxiety x

I often look on these threads and think that if I could have tested just post ovulation I'd have gone a bit crackers!
Anyway, just to give you a bit of hope, after six painful years, I got my wonderful son, then a year later my lovely daughter! Nearly 30 years ago!

Morning ladies, well I don't think this one is looking good again. Had cramping last night and some this morning. Took a test and compared to last night looks fainter. Safe to say I'm not feeling hopeful. I'm not sure how much longer I can carry on doing this tbh.

@JNicko I always find my afternoon tests are stronger than my morning tests. Have you got a test line comparison from all of your FMU tests?

asbigasablueberry · 09/04/2024 06:57

Keep positive. Cramps are normal, just as I found out (12DPO) I had some terrible cramps and they have continued all the way to 7+1. Are the cramps continuous?

I wouldn't read too much into the test either as your urine could just simply be more diluted than when you did the last test.

I've everything crossed for you x

No the cramping seems to be on and off. I just feel at 14DPO should be a lot darker. Other ladies tests are a lot darker than mine.

@JNicko what about your test from yesterday and today? Or from Sunday to today? X

JNicko · 09/04/2024 07:10

The top test is the latest on this morning and the bottom is Sunday. The test on its own is from tea time last night.

Yes from tea time last night

Can you get a digital today?
I remember, after 6 years of trying, having cramps as usual - I was finally pregnant!
The consultant rang me to say congratulations, and I said "but I'm cramping!". He said that's fine. And it was.

Iv got a digital weeks indicator coming today. I did an early digital on Sunday and that said pregnant. It's more the faint tests that's making me think it's not good.

I’ve read a lot on forums which say to not look for line progression and many women have gone on to have healthy pregnancies although the lines are faint, if there’s a line that means you’re pregnant. However, in my experience, when my lines weren’t darkening it did unfortunately lead to you know what. I just really hope for you everything progresses, this stage is the worst, the unknown 😩
