Should I prepare for the worse?

Hi ladies. I'm currently 13DPO. AF is due on Wednesday. I got a vv faint positive at 9/10DPO. Iv had 3 consecutive miscarriages so my anxiety is through the roof. Going to call EPAU this morning as I can self refer. These are my latest test (the digi was taken yesterday at 12DPO) just looking for a bit of support, re assurance or for some honesty.

You need to stop testing now, you'll make yourself absolutely demented. You are pregnant according to all the tests. Wait for the proper 6 week scan and try to relax a tiny bit

Maireas · 09/04/2024 17:43

I agree with @LapinR0se . You've tested positive, that's great, now give it a rest.
Seriously, distract yourself, do something different.

mustardplant · 09/04/2024 17:44

Congratulations, looks like good progress from last night!

Just to let you know, my tests were ALWAYS darker in the late afternoon/evenings than they were with FMU despite being much more hydrated. Wishing you all the best x

Hi @JNicko your tests look fine to me.
I do understand how you're feeling. I had a lot of miscarriages myself.
You'll drive yourself mad, testing over and over. It won't change the outcome.

I truly hope this one will be a successful pregnancy for you.

Thank you so much all of you. This forum has been a godsend for me and helped me in so many ways.

I'm still getting cramping is that normal?

It is normal to get cramping at this stage, as the pregnancy embeds in the uterus. It's a good sign.

JNicko · 09/04/2024 18:08

Ok thank you. It's not mega painful or anything just like dull AF cramps

Yes, it's perfectly normal to get cramps. It does feel a bit like period cramps and not necessarily an indicator that anything is wrong.
I remember taking paracetamol for the pain - the pregnancy was text book successful. Good luck.

I know what you mean, but it definitely has. Roll on your scan x

I know I can't wait. I just really hope I make it to that point as that would be a big milestone for me. How are you getting on?

@JNicko We will get our Christmas babies. Tests are progressing, slowly. A lot lighter than my last pregnancy at this stage but trying not to fret!

InThisTogether · 09/04/2024 20:49

Congratulations OP, you're pregnant.
As others have said, and difficult though it is, please step away from the testing now. The stress of it will do you no good, and there's no reason this won't be a successful, healthy pregnancy. Good luck.

I can understand your temptation to keep testing! You've got a positive result, so I hope you feel reassured. How are you feeling today?

No more cramps today. I'm feeling a little more hopeful today but trying not to get too excited at the same time. I really wish I could get excited but I know what it will do to me if it turns out bad. X

It's fine to be guarded. You won't believe it until you hold your baby. Just try to eat well and relax.
