Should I prepare for the worse?

Hi ladies. I'm currently 13DPO. AF is due on Wednesday. I got a vv faint positive at 9/10DPO. Iv had 3 consecutive miscarriages so my anxiety is through the roof. Going to call EPAU this morning as I can self refer. These are my latest test (the digi was taken yesterday at 12DPO) just looking for a bit of support, re assurance or for some honesty.

I’ve read a lot on forums which say to not look for line progression and many women have gone on to have healthy pregnancies although the lines are faint, if there’s a line that means you’re pregnant. However, in my experience, when my lines weren’t darkening it did unfortunately lead to you know what. I just really hope for you everything progresses, this stage is the worst, the unknown 😩

I know it's the worse part not knowing. I think deep down I do know that it's not good. Other people have got dye stealers at this stage. I'm just so angry, upset, fed up.

I've no idea about those strip tests, because I find them very hard to read on this site.
One with two lines or "pregnant" might be better?

I will use the weeks indicator when I get in from work and that should give me the answer

4 consecutive losses and no children really takes it out of you

It really does. It's a tough journey. You feel so terrible, especially when other women have babies so easily and it's hard not to be down.
Just take it from here.
If it's not good this time, discuss it with the consultant.

Maireas · 09/04/2024 07:31

You can get through this! 🌸

JNicko · 09/04/2024 07:35

@Maireas thank you. I'm already referred to gynae consultant and was actually meant to have a hysteroscopy yesterday but had to cancel. All other tests and scans Iv had are ok. Apart from I have PCOS.

PCOS doesn't rule out successful pregnancies, as you know. If this doesn't work out, have the hysteroscopy and take it from there.

@JNicko try not to count yourself out just yet. My super faint line is now 3yo. Some people have much slower rising hcg than others and I was one of those people. Try not to compare yourself to the dye stealers as every body is different. They say to leave 2 days in between each test as hcg can fluctuate and seeing the line fainter will only make you more anxious. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope you get your sticky one xx

JNicko · 09/04/2024 11:05

@thejollytrolleydolly thank you for your kind words x

Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you OP 🌈

Lots of rest & fluids and be very gentle to yourself. I had 1 DC, 4 unexplained misscarriges, 2 years of no pregnancy despite trying and I now have my 2 week old baby with me. I hope this little one joins you earth side x

JNicko · 09/04/2024 11:14

@Mammma91 you must be absolutely over the moon. I'm so glad things worked out for you.

Was yours as faint as mine at 14DPO?

@JNicko I didn't even test until 16dpo because I was adamant I couldn't get pregnant. And even though the line was there it was still really light so I imagine on 14dpo it would have been much lighter. Is it possible you ovulated a bit later than you thought? That could be another reason for the light lines? X

I don't think I ovulated later. I confirmed it with LH strips. So I know when I got my peak and Premom app had me ovulating the day after that.
