Thought id start a new thread as anyone at the beginning of their cycle TTC now I guess will be looking at January due dates! Think AF will be here today or tomorrow for me so my due date would be 7th January…

@satsumaqueen in sorry to hear that :( it’s so hard when your hopes are shattered month in month. I hope your talk with your other half goes well tonight. It must be difficult when you know you are making positive lifestyles changes in the hope they help and your partner isn’t. I’d struggle with that because you just get so desperate you are willing to try anything.
I’ll keep hoping that you conceive within 3 months 🤞🤞

EMc93 · 01/05/2024 15:44

@Firsttimetrier do your pulling sensations feel painful when you walk or just sitting still?

EMc93 · 01/05/2024 15:51

*sorry my early losses were in 2023

YorkshirePeridot · 01/05/2024 20:01

@LK2610 I'm in a similar situation, would love to look for a new job but can't afford to take the hit in maternity pay and don't want to push back ttc. Seems really unfair as men simply aren't affected in the same way! Ultimately you need to put your mental health first though.

@PondwoodS I've cut out drinking except in the first week of my cycle during my period. Hubby barely drinks at all and neither of us vape/smoke. I am a bit of a caffeine fiend though and that's been more of a struggle than the alcohol, but I'm down to one caffeinated coffee a day then decaf for the rest of the day. We could both be fitter though so now the weather is on the up I'm going to try and get us both out of the house a bit more. Hopefully I'm ticking most of the lifestyle boxes!

Congratulations @Firsttimetrier and looks promising @CadoAvo 🤞🏻

I've been trying to live as normally as possible, I don't drink half as much I did first time round as still BF DC1 at night!

DH doesn't drink as much either but still does have a few drinks on the weekend and also with the football @CoolSummer89. I've not broatched the subject with him yet about cutting further but so also think about the sperm is from longer ago so can't just change over night.

My main thing is caffeine! I restrict intake anyways as I BF still but I feel guilty about that, anyone else fully cut it out?? I have one max two coffees a day.

Currently waiting ovulation, will see the OPKs out but to be honest it's stressing me out more than it's worth.

I would say try to live as normally as possible if you can. During the TWW I went to a wedding and a birthday, both I enjoyed having a few drinks and didn’t think about it. This was my approach for the TWW with my pregnancy with my son and all worked out okay.

The placenta doesn’t start kicking in until 8 weeks pregnant, so my personal rule was live normally until I get a BFP.

I think mainly when sitting still but I’ve been pushing the pram or running after the scoot with my toddler today when walking, so not thought about it then. I’ll walk around the house and see 😂 but definitely feeling it more when I’m sitting or laying down.

Pretty sure out this month.

Since stopping breast feeding in December my cycles have been about 24-26 days, with 1-2 days spotting beforehand. Was cycle day 22, 8 DPO today (well yesterday now given time) and have had a very small amount of brown staining to discharge (which is how my first day of spotting usually looks, it gets fresher the next day then AF shows the following, so I’m predicting Saturday). Took a test tonight and negative (unsurprisingly). Not sure how the egg has a chance with such a short literal phase!

Will prob take a test tomorrow (today) at 9DPO to fulfil my addiction to POAS mostly 😂

LK2610 · 03/05/2024 08:18

AF is being a right pain in my butt this month. I’m getting my bloods tested and the GP said to go to the centre on day 1-3 of my period. I had random pink spotting yesterday so I figured it’d start today and booked my blood test for 10am and I wake up this morning and nothing. So I’ll have to cancel it. I bet AF will arrive tomorrow which will mean I won’t be able to do my blood tests this month as the testing centre isn’t open on weekends and then it’s bank holiday Monday. I swear AF knows when you’re waiting for it 😩

PermanentlyTired03 · 03/05/2024 08:18

On a normal clear blue test (the rapid response ones) would a test be clear at 9DPO? I don’t know whether to test or wait a few more days

There's a high chance it be negative at 9dpo, so even if you test and it's negative I wouldn't panic you're out yet. I also would use a different brand of test because clear blues are so bad for evap and indents it will break your heart 🙈

Yeah I stay away from Clearblue unless it's the digital ones as the amount of evaps/indents I've seen is shocking. Try and stick to pink dye tests if possible. If you use the CB test then look at it within the timeframe then put it in the bin and don't pull it back out 😅

If you have a negative at 9DPO it doesn't mean you're out. I started at 8DPO and got BFP at 10DPO and some women don't get them till later.

Shinystar93 · 03/05/2024 23:06

Feel disheartened… period isn’t due till 15 may and I know I shouldn’t but I caved in and tested… stark white negative as expected …. 😫

Irish812 · 03/05/2024 23:39

@Shinystar93 how many dpo are you? I'm due my period on 16th May and currently only 1dpo.

PermanentlyTired03 · 04/05/2024 08:52

@Shinystar93 wait another week and do an early response test 🙂🤞🏼

PermanentlyTired03 · 04/05/2024 08:56

I used my last CB test this morning at 10dpo. It’s very faint but I think there’s a line! I’ve ordered some first response so I’ll do another in a couple of days. 😬

@PermanentlyTired03 oooooh definitely a clear line!! How exciting 🥹

Katie1989xx · 04/05/2024 12:16

I can definitely see a line @PermanentlyTired03 how exciting! 😊

SavingNotSpending · 05/05/2024 07:03

13dpo today and just got a stark white on an early response test 😔 I really thought this was the month.

LK2610 · 05/05/2024 07:24

AF here for me. Good luck ladies x

YaWeeFurryBastard · 05/05/2024 07:44

@LK2610 sorry to hear that lovely. I’ve started a thread for those taking longer than average if that’s helps as I’ve had to take a step back from the main ttc threads x

Daniki · 05/05/2024 09:30

13days past my trigger so roughly 11/12dpo. Getting extremely faint lines this few days but not getting any darker so either still the trigger or a chemical. So fed up 😩

EMc93 · 05/05/2024 10:09

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for all you ladies for a dark line in this month or next 🤞

Dogscanlookup · 05/05/2024 10:50

@Daniki what tests are you using?? Mine didn’t seem to get darker either for the first few days and one was even negative with the same urine! Really got my fingers crossed 🤞🏻

OP posts:
Daniki · 05/05/2024 11:32

@Dogscanlookup the Premom ones! This is my first cycle using them too I usually get the one step ones 🙈 xx

CadoAvo · 05/05/2024 14:59

@Daniki oh I really hope this is it for you 🤞🏼 I'm currently 14Dpo with super faint lines, yesterday I was convinced it was a chemical as the test hadn't gotten darker. Today's test was ever so slightly darker so taking that as a win. I have everything crossed for you. I've never used the trigger myself but from what I understand I don't think it would still be there at 11/12 DPO? 🤞🏼
