Icsi ivf may 2024

Hi ladies I thought I'd create this thread to support anyone doing ivf in May 2024, it's great to have other people to talk to going ture the same thing!
My background I'm 31 with low AMH of 3, suffering from secondary infertility 2.5 years ttc had a failed IVF cycle in February where my 4 mature eggs just failed to fertilized so we have been advised to do ICSI for our next cycle! I decided to give my body a break and get back into end of April/may depending on how my cycle returns:)

@camelinastorm for what it’s worth the only time I have been pregnant I felt absolutely nothing of interest in the tww, I almost threw the test away before 5min but actually it had a faint line and sure I was pregnant.

@camelinastorm sore boobs is a good sign and the womb feeling .. 🤞🏽.. fingers crossed it will be BFP for you, did they advise to urine test at all or just to beta ?

Can also do urine as of Wednesday I think, after having a chemical I'm reluctant to test 😬 that line being there then it going a week later is heartbreaking

@camelinastorm ..I totally understand .. I have had 3 chemicals now .. and two missed miscarriages .. but keep faith .. it’s so painful to have to go through but you never know .. this could be your time !! 🤞🏽✨

Ooh aa soo excited now! I had my transfer today and finally got some info on our embryos too!
10 eggs retrieved, 6 mature and 5 fertilised. They transferred a fresh day 5 3BA, they called it "pretty" 😍Also still monitoring 2 that are a bit slower, if they keep growing and don't degrade they'll freeze them tomorrow. Please stick pretty one, I really do not want to do another EC.

@camelinastorm have you tested yet?

@BakinABaby yes did a at home one there seemed to be a faint line within 5 seconds but then it disappeared so guessing I'm out as I'm 8 dpt

@camelinastorm dont loose hope .. some people don’t get a postive till later .. did you say you are getting a blood test also ? That should confirm the amount of beta in your system ?

My daughter has woken up with a stomach bug so don't want to visit the clinic on ase I pass it on so that's put back, they said ohh just do an at home it may show ......

Oh no hope your daughter is ok ! Hopefully your line will get darker with time . ✨🤞🏽

How’s you today ? Did you do another test today? My trigger is still showing for me but is very faint.

@BakinABaby gongratulations on your trasfer ! Hopefully this pretty embryo will grow for the next 9 months or so 😍and great news about your embryos numbers that you have left still :)

@hopefullsosbry yes i did test but still negative , I’m on the 6th day today past trasfer today , so technically I’m 5 and half days past trasfer because today is not over yet .
I think I’m out , you know like sometimes you have a gut feeling ? I have used first response too so that proves that I’m most likely out ! So sad …. Last FET I had , I tested a faint positive 4dp5dt so …
and how many days past trasfer are you now ? Are you testing everyday to make sure trigger is gone ? Xx

Awh sorry it’s still negative .. you never know though !! It could start to show in a couple of days ? What grade was your embryo ? I have been testing every day yeh and trigger still there .. I am 3dpt .. but I feel it’s not going so well .. like you I have a gut feeling it’s not worked this time and also I have been wanting chocolate .. and I only ever want chocolate when my period is coming .. 😐.. I know am super early but i just dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️.. only time will tell for both us .. hopefully we are both surprised and get sone dark lines soon . 🤞🏽✨💖

@hopefullsosbry I am praying for both of us to get a positive this week ! I had 4AB trasferred, so pretty good grade xxx but it doesn’t matter what we do or don’t do , we can’t change the outcome regardless 😕 just imagine if we both get positives ? That would be so cool ! Alongside with @BakinABaby and others 😍

Yeh that’s a really good grade ..fingers crossed 🤞🏽 mind was a 4BB … have you had any symptoms at all ?? I dunno if I have or if it’s just the progesterone 😑 but my official test date isn’t until the 15th .. which is 14 days after transfer .. my other transfers on my last cycle were all 10 days after transfer? Don’t know if this seems a really long time ?!

@hopefullsosbry my official test is also 14 days , which would take me to the 11 th of June . Why so long I have no idea … wow your embryo is also amazing 4BB . Thats a great little embryo there . I think I have had symptoms on day 2/3/4 past trasfer , heavy feeling in the womb , mild mild cramping , very irritated as if my period wants to come but I’m blocking it with progesterone . But it’s very hard for me to tell as my ovaries must still be very swollen after 24 eggs collected so I’m not sure if the mild pain was the ovary’s shrinking back down or what . But I have been very short tempered last few days , feeling down , maybe it’s anxiety and not knowing what’s the outcome going to be ? So yeha , only time will tell 😖

Yeh I have been feeling the same .. irritated today .. and down as I feel it’s not worked, it’s rubbish huh ? If I don’t have a positive by day 10dpt I’ll be coming off the progesterone .. am not staying on it for no reason .. would just rather my period came if it’s not worked that injecting myself for longer than need be ! 😣

@hopefullsosbry I know what you mean about the progesterone ! I’d like to come off it too , even at 9dpt but I’m too scared to tell my doctors that I have tested early as they were very serious about not testing early and I promised not to , so if I tell them it’s negative earlier than official date , then they will know I lied haha 😂and you’re in much better situation than me as you’re only 3dp5dt which means you could catch a faint line at 5dp5dt or even 4 !!!! I’m already past 5dp5dt and still negative so my hopes are slowly fading ! At least you’re full in with the chance 👌👏are you going to test tomorrow and every day after that ? X

Yeh i have been testing every day since I got the trigger and will test every day till I bleed probably .. I dunno this is my 6th transfer and I can just tell already I think .. also had two miscarriages from natural conception so I can kinda tell now what my body is like .. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think it tried to implant as I felt the pulling etc Sunday night but then last night had sore cramps for 3 hours and my boobs aren’t as sore this morning when I woke up any more .. I feel it tried to implant them came away last night .. as it’s the same feeling I felt in the past .. but thanks I know am still early but I just have a gut 🤨.. anyways only time will tell 😐

@hopefullsosbry I’m sure the symptoms have nothing to do with if you’re pregnant or not because remember it takes a lot of hcg to feel any symptoms , if any at all until well into pregnancy , and you’re embie has only started to implant and no hcg in your blood yet . And the sore boobs you felt must of been from progesterone because again like I said hcg is not present yet from the pregnancy so it doesn’t mean anything at this point . When I was 6 weeks pregnant last year , I never ever had sore boobs, like ever and my hcg was like 25 000! Just imagine ! And my body didn’t react to it even then . But yes I understand your worries because of your history ,and I’m so sorry to hear that , but for now , let’s keep positive and see what the next few days bring , you never know 🙏but just know your feelings are very valid and your feelings matter 💕so let’s hope for the best week ever for us all so that hopefully we all get positive tests and get a nice suprise 💕

@hopefullsosbry good morning 😊 I am still testing negative 😠😤 I’m so angry ! Cant get pregnant easily naturally and even IVF doesn’t work when the embryo has been literally put inside you physically !!!! You don’t get a better chance than that to get pregnant but no , something always has to go wrong 😭I’m clearly out now , first response looks as white as snow bank ! Couldn’t be any more whiter . What do I do ? Can I stop my medications few days earlier ? There is no point hoping anymore . I just know it and there is no need to sugar coat things . I just can’t imagine how I’ll make it through to my next trasfer in few months time if I can’t even wait 2 full weeks to see if my trasfer worked ! How am I going to cope with the waiting ?! Sorry for the rant I’m just so pissed off . I hope at least some of you get your big fat positive pregnant test 🙏
