Hi ladies I thought I'd create this thread to support anyone doing ivf in May 2024, it's great to have other people to talk to going ture the same thing!
My background I'm 31 with low AMH of 3, suffering from secondary infertility 2.5 years ttc had a failed IVF cycle in February where my 4 mature eggs just failed to fertilized so we have been advised to do ICSI for our next cycle! I decided to give my body a break and get back into end of April/may depending on how my cycle returns:)

Hi all little bit of advice needed so 7 weeks until my next round my clinic is going to plan to put me on the pill for 1 month or have norethisterone to delay the next period (10 July) until the 1st of August has anyone had experience with this ?

Ilovebees · 13/06/2024 22:32

@camelinastorm hey , I have never been on the pill or norethisterone for that long , max 7-10 days . Why are they putting you on it for so long ? I guess they are professionals so they know what they are doing so I would fully trust them . Do you mean 7 weeks until your FET ? Are you having the trasfer in 7 weeks from now ? X

camelinastorm · 13/06/2024 23:13

@Ilovebees hi so it will be a fresh collection so due to start new stims on the 2nd of August they need to put me on the pill from the 10th July to ensure timing is correct, oh it's good to hear you were only on for short while, that's reassuring I just assumed it would take a while to 'get into my system ' and ensure cycle start on the correct day, thanks I feel a lot better now

Ilovebees · 14/06/2024 14:05

@camelinastorm oh yes I’m glad your happier now knowing it’s surely enough time for the medicine to get into your body ! Xxx you’re starting so soon , how exiting ! Xx

BakinABaby · 14/06/2024 17:06

@Ilovebees It's not FET, I have no frozen embryos. It's a planning meeting for next cycle of IVF which would happen first viable cycle from then I'm assuming. It's end of July because the clinic has a collective summer holiday before and they simply won't be working :D.

BakinABaby · 14/06/2024 17:08

@camelinastorm oh if things go as I think they will, we might be stimming at the same time. Although they might opt to do a long cycle again, so never know.

camelinastorm · 14/06/2024 17:25

@BakinABaby aww that would be nice 🙂
I may sound ill knowledgeable but what's the difference in long and short

BakinABaby · 14/06/2024 17:38

@camelinastorm long protocol is with down regulation, short without. I thinks that is the general gist of it, there are some nuances I think. I've also heard the long one being called agonist and short antagonist protocol. Last time I was on the long one.

camelinastorm · 14/06/2024 17:43

Mmm so am I long protocol, I have the pill for 3 weeks to then ensure the cycle is timed when they want ?? I'm so lost 🤣 sorry

camelinastorm · 14/06/2024 17:43

My very first cycle was totally done on my cycle

ESWill · 21/06/2024 01:10

Hi all - is there anyone on here still in an ivf cycle I can talk to? Thanks!

camelinastorm · 21/06/2024 08:49

@ESWill I've finished but am still around

Ilovebees · 22/06/2024 09:38

@ESWill yes we are still here ! You can talk to us but most of us are waiting to start a new ivf cycle very soon xx

Ilovebees · 22/06/2024 09:39

@hopefullsosbry hey ! How’s things going with your pregnancy ? All good so far ? How many weeks are you ?

Lcm11 · 22/06/2024 10:06

I'm still here, haven't posted in a while as I've been between cycles but should be starting my FET soon. So sorry to the ladies who didn't get their BFP last cycle. Hopefully July is the one.

@hopefullsosbry huge congratulations!! Hope you're doing ok. X

Lcm11 · 03/07/2024 08:56

Hi ladies, I'm on CD1 which means I can finally start my FET! Has anyone else got a FET soon? Xx

camelinastorm · 03/07/2024 10:38

@Lcm11 ohh exciting times, I'm unfortunately having to start from fresh, so will be starting on August 1st due to clinic requesting one full cycle between, good luck for your FET

Lcm11 · 11/07/2024 09:21

Thanks @camelinastorm! Hope you're feeling ok about your upcoming stims. Good luck to you too x

camelinastorm · 11/07/2024 09:29
