Thanks @Sez281 , that’s similar to what I’ll do but start the aspirin from 3dpo too I think. I’ll just decide my own treatment plan 😂
Still awaiting my positive opk, I’m CD16 so it has better get a move on!

@SnookyPook amazing not to have to be on the pessaries anymore, that’s a win!

Supertrooper101 · 15/03/2024 08:04

@SnookyPook i was thinking of weaning off too , my head seems to accept that better lol never asked about the placenta and they didnt mention it.
@Sez281 800mg?? You like, popping 4 up a day or are they 400mg each? Symptons were BAD really bad up till around 11wks i thinks.now its more if you dont eat youl feel it lol i was carb free before tho so ive already put on a stone 🤦‍♀️... buggers need to stop weighing me lol are you having nausea and fatigue? I wouldnt put that down to the pessaries lol
@xxcxdonxx tbh, if youve gone by the book on ttc and listened to the drs and still got no where, i think its a good call to make your own plan up lol you taking anying for the ovarys? They maybe need a kick start. Follicles and eggs etc etc ha

Sez281 · 15/03/2024 08:32

@xxcxdonxx 100% do your own treatment plan. 75mg from 3DPO won't do any harm. Look at me, if I hadn't gone rogue I wouldn't be where I am today 🤷‍♀️😂 I do think your issue is definitely the "sticky blood" thing so hopefully between the progesterone and baby aspirin it'll stick 🙏

@Supertrooper101 I'm on 2x400mg. I guess I have actual morning sickness then and it's not just a pessary side effect..I am trying not to complain as I realise how lucky I am but god it has really ramped up in the last week😣. The tiredness & digestive cramps I could manage but now the constant nausea is just so horrendous 😣. (I feel so bad even writing or thinking it as I'm genuinely so happy to be where I am so and I'm sorry if it comes across as insensitive to others 😢)

Also I think carbs are pretty essential during this time (toast and crackers are my staple) and I'd say I've put on double what you have @Supertrooper101. Hopefully in a few weeks "normal" feeding service can resume.

SnookyPook · 15/03/2024 08:46

@Sez281 yeah I'd say that's all you. I've had minimal symptoms this pregnancy throughout despite progesterone pessaries. Think they just clogged me up 😂 I had bad nausea (though luckily never vommed!) with my DS and it's so draining isn't it. And yeah, carbs/beige food was the only thing that helped. I remember having aversions to fruit and veg too and feeling so guilty! Haha. Not had any of that this time. With my DS I did find rice crackers were sometimes a good low cal way of hitting the spot - just nibbling them slowly.

@xxcxdonxx love how we're all encouraging you to go rogue! But hey, it's worked for a couple of these ladies and you've nothing to lose! 🤞🏼💕

Supertrooper101 · 15/03/2024 08:56

@Sez281 ok makes me feel better if youve put alot of weight on too haha. The morning sickness can be 24/7 not just morning, for a couple weeks i had to take snacks up to bed with me cos i was too sick, drained to go down during the night. It does say wk 9 is the worse so your on track lol

Westy22 · 16/03/2024 10:47

Morning everyone hope your all doing well! Just catching up lol

Congrats on getting to 13 weeks ❤️ @Supertrooper101 you feeling more confident about it now? X

Anxiety is starting to ramp up yet again for me and its still 9 days for the next scan 🤣 wouldn't say any real symptoms atm, 6+2 and other than tiredness everything else is minimal. I've started taking more iron as my levels before pregnancy were already indicating they were a bit low and I've read it won't do any harm. Still getting aches that are possibly my bowels tbh. Wishing the days away for my next bit of reassurance lol fingers crossed 🤞x

DmcinT · 16/03/2024 11:14

@Sez281 I feel ur pain, I was on the progesterone until 28 weeks and I deff think it ramped up my nausea. I think I’d kinda just gotten used to always feeling sick but I was still retching and getting sick until the very end🙈 the only saving grace is I can confirm it’s all so so worth it🥰

@Westy22 i was also on iron with low levels (what was I not taking throughout that pregnancy 😅) I found it made me quite constipated but found one coffee in the morning or pure orange juice/ oranges helped loads❤️

I cannot wait to see all ur little baba updates in a few short months 🥹

Sez281 · 17/03/2024 09:29

@SnookyPook I've tried rice crackers and oat cakes the last few days and don't feel as bad for munching all the time now as not as many calories. How are you feeling? Did you meet midwife again?

@Supertrooper101 I lost a stone from my consultant appointment at the start of January up to m BFP at the end.. 2 weeks after positive I checked and had put it back on but too afraid to check again 🙈

@Westy22 I totally get it. The good news scan feeling lasts about 5 minutes and then the dread creeps back in 😣 I've got my Nipt bloods and scan on Tuesday and I'm so nervous for scan part. Had awful nightmares last few nights so obviously it's got into my subconscious. We just need to keep telling ourselves that as each day passes it get more hopeful 🙏

@Jadeypie hope you're doing ok?

@xxcxdonxx hope you finally hit your peak? 🤞

@Paws4thought I hope you're feeling ok and the lines have gotten lighter x

@DmcinT I can't believe you were on the progesterone for 28 weeks I mean if my consultant recommends it then I'll obviously do anything that helps but the thoughts of twice a day for that long! 😳

Happy St Patrick's day to you and little Mollaí and to all my fellow Irish women on here ☘️ ☘️☘️

@Sez281 ah thanks, happy paddy’s day to u too💚👒☘️🍀 we’ve a lovely day out planned so hopefully it all goes ok🤞🏽

I was on progesterone for that long because I had the cerclage (cervical stitch) in at 15 weeks so I would t say that’s the norm in fairness. Did they say 12 weeks to u?

Paws4thought · 17/03/2024 12:14

@Sez281 thanks for checking in, I'm still in no man's land, scan showed retained tissue about 2cm, opted for tablets Friday and they literally did nothing, no cramps, no bleeding so going back today to speak to Dr, I'm assuming I'll be offered mva again now.
Hope you're feeling well.

@Supertrooper101 congratulations on getting over the 13 week milestone :)

Supertrooper101 · 17/03/2024 14:37

@Sez281 they may weigh you on your dating one....so be prepared haha.. i like the oat cakes amd crackers. Was eating rosemary ones until i read thats a big no no 🤷‍♀️ your right about scans though, you get that 5minute high then reality kicks in.
@Paws4thought i did want to tag and ask how you were getting on but with no updates i didnt know if you were having time out, so plsd sez asked lol... what a bloody hard time your going through. Have you managed to see thr dr yet?

Paws4thought · 17/03/2024 15:44

@Supertrooper101 tbh I've been following along but trying to give myself space at the same time, didn't want to miss too much 🙈 yeah got mva booked again for tomo, hopefully ultrasound lead this time 🤞

Westy22 · 17/03/2024 18:32

I've kinda self diagnosed going off my bloods end of Jan lol @DmcinT I do feel like my bowels have slowed right down though and even the coffee isn't doing the trick 🤣 so annoying I'm usually an everyday without fail kinda gal now I feel bloated and heavy.

I think it's the coming and going of symptoms that always freak me out and make me always start thinking the worst @Sez281 but then I know some people class that as lucky lol like I can have nausea one day and it's gone the next. The cramps and aches seems to have slowed down now so maybe things have settled down a bit. I dunno, the 25th needs to hurry up! I was debating doing a private because I'm so inpatient but I'll save that for further down the line if i get there 🙈

I'm sorry it's gone on this long @Paws4thought hopefully it's resolved tomorrow 🙏 must be hard to deal with when your trying to process everything X

xxcxdonxx · 17/03/2024 18:36

@Paws4thought i’m so sorry it’s dragging on for you and you are having to have another procedure done. Hope all goes well tomorrow xx

Sez281 · 17/03/2024 19:19

@Paws4thought Oh I'm so sorry that you're still in this limbo 😢 I'm so glad they're seeing you tomorrow though. Hopefully this will be the very end for you 🙏 Also I very much understand taking a little break from here now and then xx

@DmcinT I haven't been told yet. I'll meet consultant Monday week so hopefully I'll know more then. I'd be ok with 16 weeks or so if possible, or even lowering the dose to one a day.. Hope you'd a lovely family day out ☘️ I went to my local parade and was home in bed shattered not long after it... my life has officially changed already 🙈😂

@Westy22 yeah I think coming and going is very normal. I remember going for bloods because my boobs weren't sore one morning (of course it started again later 😂) I think distraction is the key xx

@Paws4thought Yeah I'm fully expecting the worst on the mid wives scales. I've told myself that when I enter this "magical" 2nd trimester that I've heard so much about that I'll up my exercise and eat better (I know it doesn't happen for everyone though so I'm not counting my chickens 🙈)

@Paws4thought oh so sorry that you're still in a bit of limbo. Hopefully tomorrow sorts it all out and then you can start moving forwards again. Sending you a great big hug, and also absolutely get needing some time away from here occasionally 💗

@Sez281 @DmcinT happy St. Paddy's day! Are you rugby fans too?! Been a good weekend for Ireland! What kind of parade is it Sez? Lots of floats and music and stuff? Bet that's great to experience! Would love to do St. Patrick's in Ireland one year!

@Westy22 all the waiting feels interminable doesn't it?! Not toooo long to wait now although I can well imagine it feels like an eternity!

xxcxdonxx · 17/03/2024 20:53

Happy St Patrick’s @Sez281 and @DmcinT 💚 Hope you’ve had a good day.

I eventually got my peak this evening, CD 18 🙈 Better late than never I suppose.

Now I have the joys of pessaries to look forward to again!

@Supertrooper101 that last bit was meant for you.. sorry @Paws4thought x

Sez281 · 17/03/2024 21:22

@SnookyPook Winning the rugby was great too (although England beating us last week stoped us getting the grand slam 🙈) Yeah there are the massive parades in the major city's then also thousands of smaller ones in towns and villages all over. I'm in a suburb of Dublin so just went local this year but you'd love the big one. It's a great day out for families (and usually a great day in the pubs for those of us without DC 😂)

@xxcxdonxx yay for the peak finally 🙌 Hopefully the pessaries and aspirin give things a nudge 🤞 x

Supertrooper101 · 18/03/2024 20:40

@Paws4thought did it go as good as it could have gone, was it ultrasound lead? Hope you can cut a break now x
@Sez281 u excited or nervous for tomorrow? What time you there? Bloody come round quick!
@Westy22 no where does it say thr main sympton being....bloatedness, heavy, stomach ready to pop feeling lol just usually nausea u hear about lol just another 7mths left of it, youl be fine haha

Paws4thought · 18/03/2024 21:00

@Supertrooper101 no it wasn't ultrasound lead 🙄 but he definitely removed tissue, it looked a lot to me considering it was done weeks ago and they said 2cm left, not got cramps or much bleeding this time so feel more positive about it 🤞

Supertrooper101 · 18/03/2024 21:09

@Paws4thought i doubt they said what had gone wrong the 1st time for you to have to go back? Honeslty, i hope u can put all this behind you quickly cos from the bfp to today, theyve treated you shockingly.. cant just be bad luck lol heres to a brighter times ahead for you 🙂

Paws4thought · 19/03/2024 08:09

@Supertrooper101 they just say it's unlucky, if I ever need another I wouldn't have it done by the one that messed it up tho. Yeah hopefully they'll actually help with the next one🤞 thank you!

Sez281 · 19/03/2024 08:15

@Paws4thought I'm so sorry that you've had to go through all of that again. As if it isn't bad enough having to do it the first time 😢 I'm glad to hear that the cramps and bleeding aren't too bad. Hopefully you can close this chapter and move on to the next soon!

@Supertrooper101 it's not until 4.30 today, I am quite nervous about the scan as it's 2 weeks since my last so the dread has creeped in. I'm just going to try keep busy in work until I go.. there's no point in me worrying about the blood test itself yet as I think it can take 7-10 days to get results back so that's next weeks problem!

Hope you're doing ok? You feeling any better symptom wise now that you're in 2nd trimester?
