Haha maybe although I've been mostly calm until 19wks so who knows 😂 Less than a week to go now! (As long as baby cooperates!)

been AWOL just plodding on with life and havnt once thought about ttc tbh. I'm still in that 'whatever Zen mode' about it all ha (which is lovely) I havnt even opened a tracking ap either.

Was a lot to catch up on as per usual haha. But glad everything is going well for everyone.

@Paws4thought sorry you had to go through that!! Hopefully you can now try and get abit of normality back xx

Ah @Jadeypie so great to hear that you're doing so well. Loving the zen approach and not even looking at apps 🙌 I'd imagine with the new meds and your current mindset that everything will just sort itself out 👌 xx

@xxcxdonxx how are you getting on? Did you start the aspirin along with the cyclogest?

@Paws4thought I hope that everything is resolved now and you're not seeing anything on the tests 🙏

@SnookyPook can't believe you're 20 weeks next week! That is the ultimate milestone 🙌 ☺️

@Supertrooper101 😂 I'll be happy with either, OH would definitely love a boy but I've a feeling it's not.. the most important part is the risk results, I'm starting to worry now the more I read but I know I won't get results until next week so I have to distract myself. Will you find out the sex?

@Westy22 yay for 7 weeks 🙌 That food story might aswell be mine. I love something one day and can't even think of it the next🤢. Unfortunately carbs are still my go to and my nausea is ramping up daily so I am just eating all the time to try and ease it 🙈

@Sez281 dont stress too much about those tests data, the 1 in 50 is for a 45yr old so that person has pretty much gave you the worse case scenario.. and my nurse was the same. They should keep there mouths shut tbf until results r in. Googled the numbers and it breaks it down by age group for reference if thats any help for when you get them.

@Supertrooper101 she was lovely and told me not to go by the numbers at all (but that she had to tell me) everything I've googled came back similar to the chart below. I'm trying not to think about it as there's no point really. It doesn't help that I've had 3 of those scam cold calls to my phone and my heart does be in my mouth thinking it's the hospital 🙈 Realistically it'll be next Tuesday or Wednesday when they call (after my scan)

@Sez281 our standard dosent test for them i dont think. Just ds edwards and another... what would the above conditions cause then?

Trisomy 21 is DS the others are Edwards, Patau and Turners. I'm not getting too stressed over it, what will be will be. It's just annoying that the results take so long. At least it's not like years ago where Nipt wasn't an option though as an amino can be high risk in itself (will get one if I have to though) You've already had your NT scan and all haven't you? I hope my numbers haven't freaked you out as you've already been told your scan had no flags?

@Sez281 @Supertrooper101 these were my final numbers based on bloods/NT/age-related risk. I'm 38. Based on the chart from Sez, my bloods must have lowered my age risk slightly I guess? And from what I understand NIPT is an even better indicator than the combined screening. There are so many unknowns aren't there. I definitely think there's no point worrying too much about this side of things. It's also weird when you consider all the things that might happen that you couldn't know pre-birth. One of the mum's in my group from DS, there little one was diagnosed type 1 diabetes a few months in so that's been a steep learning curve for them but you just get on with it by then I guess!

@SnookyPook I 100% agree, to be honest the only reason I did the Nipt is because it's kind of pushed by our maternity units here when over 40. I agree that there are so many unknowns even if my results were to come back low risk you just don't know what is ahead. All we can do is go with the flow and cross each bridge as we come to it 🤷‍♀️

Yeah ive had mine, got them in less than 7 days so off course cacked myself reading them. Luckily ok .. But like you say sez, its not a guarantee as we could be the 'one'.. i dont like that they class under 150 as a problem, seems abit toooo low that to then be looking into it.

Hey ladies, thanks for checking in, it’s been a hectic week at work so loads to catch up on!

I’ve not much of an update, started the Cyclogest and aspirin but only 5dpo so a while to go.

To be honest I’m feeling a bit over TTC at the moment. We’ve viewed a few houses recently and it’s made me quite excited about the future with my wee family as is, which is nice to not be so focussed on having another one.

I can understand the nervousness around the numbers. I remember with my first, it was really low and then my second, much higher and it really played on my mind. It was during covid too so I think it just added to the worry.
As you say, no one knows what’s ahead of us so just have to go with it for now.

@xxcxdonxx that's really exciting that you're looking at houses. It's so nice to have big things to look forward to, and will also be so nice to have a break from this lark no doubt!

@Westy22 good luck with the scan tomorrow. What time is yours at?

I've my booking appointment with midwife at 11am, then bloods etc then my "12 week scan" with the consultant. I'd imagine it'll be nearer to the afternoon when I get to see her though. I think I may have to give in and ask about anti nausea meds. I was trying to hold out as I thought I could manage but I've really struggled this weekend 😣 Hopefully I'm coming out the other end and might not need them but I might ask about it just in case

Ah thanks @Sez281 it's at 1.30pm, I've got the morning to wait but I'm not in work till after it so I'm going to try and have a lie in as we've been away all weekend which was a nice distraction and don't get home till later tonight. Feeling nervous, I've been quite optimistic the last few days but then worry I'm being too hopeful 🙈 OH has even started talking about it a bit which is nice but we've both agreed it's still a nervous wait.

Good luck with yours @Sez281 must be a nice feeling to get to this stage 🙏 I'm grateful I'm having another check in as there's no way I could've waited. Its crap about the nausea getting worse, I can honestly say everything I'm experiencing is very mild which I guess is lucky but also scary 🙈😫

I think it’s natural to worry you are being too hopeful. I’m sure your scan today will put your mind at ease and allow you to enjoy your optimism.

Got home last night to an appointment letter for the infertility clinic for the end of April, I was like omg this better not jinx me! It's in the same place I'm going today 🙈 so nervous now x

I duno what's got into me but I'm like a dog on heat 🤣🤣🤣 I'm putting it down to hormone change haha. I'm off out for a nice little meal tonight and catch up with my Niece while she's visiting. I feel like I've started a social life again since not obsessing with ttc xx

Scan went well 🥰 measuring possibly 2 days ahead, good heartbeat and I've been discharged from EPU xx they were so nice and she recognised me from previous pregnancy so said as soon as she sees it she will say which was thankfully seconds x

@Jadeypie wow I'd love a bit of whatever you're taking. My hormones have the complete opposite effect on me. Even before my BFP I'd

So it went really well. Everything looking good. She didn’t change due date by scan (she weirdly went by lmp automatically before scan 🤷‍♀️). All measuring well though and strong heart beat. 💓

She said to stop the progesterone pessaries now (which I’m absolutely terrified of doing but she said it’s fine) she also gave me a prescription for anti nausea meds as it’s constant 🤢..Back in 4 weeks to see her again (then if Im feeling better we can hopefully fly to Spain for a few weeks between that scan and my 20 week one 🙏)

The next big thing to wait on are my Nipt blood results which should be back this week. If they are low risk then I’ll start to relax a bit and tell more people etc 🙏

@SnookyPook when's you're 20 week scan?

Aw @Sez281 that's fantastic news! So pleased to hear it! Just that last hurdle of NIPT now before you can relax a bit more 💗

My scan is Thurs afternoon. Excited and nervous all at once!

@Westy22 and @Sez281 thats great mews 🙂. Maybe just wean of the progesterone for a week if that would make you feel more at ease. Just pretend your appointment is nxt wk for minds sake lol

Glad yours went well @Sez281 you've hit a big milestone 🙏 Glad you got the nausea meds, I feel quite lucky so far my symptoms are quite mild but I'm well aware it could hit me at any moment. Fingers crossed the bloods calm you a bit, we've agreed we're not doing them as it won't change the outcome and just creates too much anxiety.
