TTC after chemical - anyone with me?

Hello

My OH and I are currently TTC.

We had a BFP earlier this month which seemed like a miracle as it was only our first month TTC.

Sadly that ended in a CP at 4w6d 🥺. We were devastated but really want to remain as positive as possible and are going to continue TTC.

I'm currently on CD10. Usually ovulate around CD13-14 but expecting it to be a little delayed possibly this month after the CP. I'm using OPKs for the first time this month to track!

Anyone with me on the journey of TTC after a CP? I'd love to hear from you so we are in it together 🩷

Hi sorry for your loss. I’m the exact same as you! I had a chemical at 5w1d and just done an ovulation test this morning and it’s positive . So glad I’m ovulating again as online I was reading it may take 4-6 weeks. I’m currently 13 days from the bleeding from my chemical so here’s to hoping
i ovulated day 19 on the cycle before so I’m actually earlier this month x

@Nbaby I'm so sorry for your loss. I have everything crossed for us this cycle!

My OPK was negative but it was the first one so that's normal!

Did you ovulate as normal or was it later than previous cycles? X

@Nbaby sorry your message didn’t show properly first time! Just seen the dates. Fingers crossed! That’s why I thought I’d do OPKs this month as don’t want to miss our chance!

ToeBeans24 · 29/02/2024 17:12

Hi all - hope I can join. TTC #1. Ive had my 4th loss, this was what I believe a CP. I have had 3 RMC all last year. I've not stopped bleeding yet since the CP, its been a week since I first started spotting in this pregnancy.

I'm yearning for my rainbow but absolutely petrified of another loss. I dont think I can put myself through it.

How are you feeling about trying again?

Xx

ToeBeans24 · 07/03/2024 07:29

@RMCx3 welcome. So sorry to hear about your losses.

I only bled for 4 days plus some spotting with my CP. I did OPKs this month as thought I’d ovulate late and I did. Got my peak at CD15 (usually CD13-14). It was flashing in the morn but static in the evening.

Gutted I was away last night which app tracked as ov so can’t DTD but did CD 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 and hopefully tonight at CD17 so I have everything crossed!

Are you using OPKs?

Ttcafterlosses · 07/03/2024 07:38

Hi all. Apologies to hear about the losses - I have had 4 recurrent miscarriages and just started trying last cycle after my missed miscarriage in august. Find it very difficult. Didn’t use OPKs last month as I don’t want to start obsessing and also scared of getting pregnant again because the losses have devastated me and I’m terrified of having another but I know I want my rainbow so much so I have to be strong and try. Currently on my period and it’s the only time I can relax knowing im not at risk of miscarriage

RMCx3 · 07/03/2024 10:57

@ToeBeans24 - thank you for your support.

I used OPKs when I got pregnant the first time, and in this last pregnancy.

Stay positive- that's what I'm doing. I really hope you have your rainbow soon x

Nbaby · 07/03/2024 11:20

Currently 6dpo after a chemical on 16/2 (first day of bleed) never got a period just ovulated exactly 2 weeks later. Not sure what the outcome will be ..

Nbaby · 07/03/2024 11:35

Also been getting a lot of cramps the last few days as if AF is about to come. Although unsure of when it would be due , I have 28 day cycles so would I go 28 days from the chemical bleeding ?? All very confusing .. haven’t had a period from early jan

SanityChecks · 07/03/2024 11:36

After 8 months of trying I had a CP in early Jan and according to my ovulation tests I still ovulated right on track at end of Jan, so keep testing and see what happens!
The negative tests after the next cycle really got me down because I had read so many stories of people getting pregnant imediately after so when that didn't happen I was devastated and i think the CP really sunk in then. Just had a faint positive on the second cycle since CP so hoping for stickiness this time!

Plumchumm · 08/03/2024 02:45

I had a CP back in August, and the very next month was probably my most fertile month. I still never seen an OPK as blazing as that, and so much ewcm. Unfortunately I couldn't DTD, but I do hear that people are often very fertile right after CP.

Good luck everyone.

ToeBeans24 · 08/03/2024 18:58

@Ttcafterlosses completely understand the no OPKs. I wasn’t planning on using them until after 3-4 months TTC but wanted to know where I was in my cycle this month after the CP. Very sorry for your losses 😞

@Nbaby I think if you ovulated exactly 2 weeks after I’d go by a 28 day cycle if that’s your usual. I ovulated 1-2 days late this cycle so I imagine my cycle will be 29-30 days this time. 6DPO cramps could be very positive. Keep us posted! When do you plan to test? I’m only 2DPO and wishing the time away so I can test!

@SanityChecks thank you for your comments about not always getting a BFP after a CP. I read so much about it on here and just know I’ll feel so down if it doesn’t happen this cycle after the CP. HUGE congrats on the BFP tho! How many DPO are you? Wishing you so much luck for a sticky bean!

@Plumchumm thank you! I’ve deffo noticed so many more symptoms around ovulation this cycle. Much more painful cramps, more EWCM and tender breasts / sensitive nipples which I don’t usually get at ovulation. The boob/nipple pain is actually like it felt after my BFP which is a bit of a kick in the teeth. But remaining hopeful!

@ToeBeans24 got my first positive on 11DPO and now 13DPO with some gradual line progression. CP ended at 5 weeks last time so another 10 days to go before I hopefully feel a bit more settled knowing we got further than last time! Right now I just feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop! Going to pay for an early scan as soon as they will take me in hopes that I can start enjoying the experience more then.

There’s nothing worse than that excitement being replaced by worry when you see the positive. Fingers crossed for you.
I feel like when I get pregnant again I won’t even tell my partner until enough time has passed that I’m sure it is not a CP.

ToeBeans24 · 09/03/2024 07:52

@SanityChecks I really know what you mean as my CP was at 4w6d. I’d booked an early scan for 6 weeks and had to cancel it 😞

I’m so glad there is line progression tho! Any symptoms?

@Plumchumm ive thought this too! But then I know I’ll need support if it happens again 😞 Where in your cycle are you now?

Nbaby · 09/03/2024 08:52

@ToeBeans24 going by a standard cycle AF due Friday. Currently 8dpo been cramping for a few days come and go, no other symptoms just cramps. Got 2 frer tests might hold out to Monday 10dpo which still would be early? But think I’ll end up testing anyways. Tww goes so slowly

SanityChecks · 09/03/2024 09:14

@Plumchumm I honestly contemplated not telling my husband too! But he is away this weekend and I am working away next week and I knew I couldn't sit on that information for 8 days by myself. I also figured that if it DID happen again I would have to tell him anyway so I decided I wanted his support nomatyer what.
@ToeBeans24 yeah I've needed to wee more often and cried quite a few times which is not like me, had some mild cramping here and there too but not a lot.

teampacey · 09/03/2024 09:41

Hiya! How are you doing @ToeBeans24? Feel like we're in this together! I ovulated bang on time so I'm 4dpo today. We go away next weekend and I'm debating whether I will test beforehand or not. On the one hand I don't want to be worrying but on the other I would like to know! So hard!

Good luck to everyone else!

ToeBeans24 · 09/03/2024 09:52

@teampacey hello again ! I’m 3DPO so close to you eeek! Sending lots of positive vibes your way! Mine was 1-2 days later than normal but my god the symptoms around ov this cycle were so strong !!! I’m hoping that’s a good sign and we also DTD more this month I’m really hoping we catch 🤞🏻

I think I’m going to test next fri at 9DPO. Early I know but I’m also out next weekend with drinks involved so want to know! Like you though I also kinda don’t want to know 😂. Will be said if it’s a BFN 😞

OP posts:
teampacey · 09/03/2024 11:09

Eeeek we are very close this month then! Fingers crossed for you!

I'm not feeling very positive this month tbh. Don't know why but just don't!

Got everything crossed for a BFP for you next weekend!

ToeBeans24 · 13/03/2024 08:06

How’s everyone doing?

7dpo for me today. I caved and tested and ofc it was a stark white bfn 😔

Why do I do this?!

Had light cramping yesterday at 6DPO that intensified as the day went on. Praying and hoping it was implantation

OP posts:
teampacey · 13/03/2024 13:38

I'm 8dpo today. I had a lovely massage with reflexology last night and the whole time I was visualising being pregnant and giving birth. I felt so much peace, it was weird! I thought how amazing a woman's body is to get pregnant and give birth (I'm a midwife) and it just seemed to give me faith that my body will do this when the time is right and the perfect egg and sperm meet. I know it sounds totally airy fairy but it just gave me such a sense of calm. Whether that will last or not I don't know haha!!!
I haven't tested yet. In some ways I prefer not to as it gives me hope that it works but the temptation is often too much so we'll see!

Fingers crossed for the cramps!!! I dont think you will be long @ToeBeans24

How is everyone else?

ToeBeans24 · 13/03/2024 17:07

Awww that was so positive to read @teampacey and I don’t think it’s airy fairy one bit!

Ive heard a lot on these thread about reflexology, massage and acupuncture. I may try !

have you had any symptoms at all?
