TTC after chemical - anyone with me?

Hello

My OH and I are currently TTC.

We had a BFP earlier this month which seemed like a miracle as it was only our first month TTC.

Sadly that ended in a CP at 4w6d 🥺. We were devastated but really want to remain as positive as possible and are going to continue TTC.

I'm currently on CD10. Usually ovulate around CD13-14 but expecting it to be a little delayed possibly this month after the CP. I'm using OPKs for the first time this month to track!

Anyone with me on the journey of TTC after a CP? I'd love to hear from you so we are in it together 🩷

Currently going through a CP it's absolutely broken my heart, I know it was early days but I'm much more heartbroken than I could have imagined. Almost feel scared to try again but I also want to try immediately as we want a baby so badly. Sending love and well wishes to everyone x

ToeBeans24 · 06/11/2024 08:28

@Applecrumble9 I’m so sorry to hear that. Please know what you’re feeling is completely normal though. And the loss is absolutely not your fault.

It completely broke me too. I still cry about it now. But you will move forward I promise you in what ever what is right for you.

If you do try again please don’t put pressure on yourself for a positive the next month like I did. They only broke me further and I thought something was wrong.

Believe me when I say it will turn out ok. I know that’s easy for me to say now, but really do hope it gives you some comfort knowing I’ve been where you are x

Thank you xxx I was completely blindsided by the pain of my CP I was absolutely not expecting pain of that level. It's easing some now, but even so I have cramps. I wasn't excited to be this physically painful too, the mental pain is torture.
I'm so glad things worked out for you I hope I can find it to TTC conceive next month again, after that pain I feel a bit traumatised

ToeBeans24 · 06/11/2024 08:45

@Applecrumble9 the trauma (although awful) is expected and everything you’re going through is normal. We all cope with things differently but I found talking about my loss helpful once I felt strong enough too. Opening up about it even allowed close friends come forward and share they too had experienced losses. It always always makes me feel close to the baby we loss. They haven’t been replaced by our new baby at all. They were real and everyone knows about he / she 🤍

What are people's views on conceive plus lubricant. Have any body conceived first try with it .

ToeBeans24 · 06/11/2024 12:07

@Applecrumble9 one day at a time. Don’t be hard on yourself. You will get there x

@AquaQuoter i never tried it so can’t comment, sorry. I’ve read a lot of people who have used it on various Mumsnet threads though. Good luck on your journey
