Struggling to find an active Letrozole thread. Recently been prescribed Letrozole as I have low progesterone and signs of ovulation not being as effective as it could be, albeit I still ovulate on my own.

Would love to hear success stories or chat to people who are going through TTC with letrozole now x

@worldwidetravel2017 I went private with mine as also had a 6 month wait. Got it done within 2 weeks.

@BreakfastOats I track my BBT so know when I ovulate, did it at 7dpo and was 19nmol. They want over 30. Since progesterone I've had borderline over 30 so progesterone should give it that extra boost x

Those of u with amh - my friend has low amh - we read that daily vit d can help

susie1984234 · 12/09/2024 15:57

@worldwidetravel2017 yes I've been taking high dose vitamin D. My AMH went from an undetectable 0.13 to 0.50. Still terribly low but some improvement ( in this time I'll take any small victory 😅)

My specialist also said I should wait until 6 months on Letrozole before getting my tubes checked - it's a long time! If you are able to go private and get it done quicker then it's worth it for your peace of mind

Sometimes nhs say after 3 letrozole cycles
Letrozole = you only get given so many cycles

Def better 4 me and any1 / every1 to get it done asap

I i should have it done in the first half of Oct

Hi ladies, starting Letrozole for the first time soon. We just signed the paperwork today. This will be baby #1 but I’ve been pregnant before, had mc and ectopic.

but I’ve pcos and very long cycles so going to induce a period first.

just a bit worried because my partner and I are away to Sicily for a week on the 23rd. They don’t want to let us take anything till we’re back because we are being monitored and triggered this cycle.

Ive had overstimulation in the past which resulted in an ectopic so I suppose I shouldn’t risk it by taking the pills while abroad or away. Just wish the timing lined up better

starting on 5mg, they said if follicles don’t seem to be growing they will add FSH injections. I have very high AMH levels so basically play it by ear. I don’t regularly ovulate but when I have in the past it’s been around CD 20-22.

i hope Letrozole brings ovulation forward. I’ve never had CD14 ovulation in my life

worldwidetravel2017 · 12/09/2024 19:27

Letrozole of 2.5 mg
Bought my ovulation forward by a week each time
On letrozole cycles 1 & 2

worldwidetravel2017 · 12/09/2024 19:29

Also - was thinking over things earlier

Another thing i got checked on NHS in past

=
Prolactin

Angelselevenx · 12/09/2024 19:37

@Plumchumm I ovulate cd 20-23 without letrozole and CD16 each time on the last 6 cycles (bar last cycle was CD19 as I was put on metformin but I've stopped that now). Best of luck x

Im expecting them to find evidence of either endo
Or pelvic inflammatory disease with tube flush

I had abnormal ca125 last yr - can be raised in endo or pid

LucyLou0527 · 12/09/2024 20:49

Update!

CD13 PM test, is this close to peak?

@worldwidetravel2017thanks for the vitamin d tip! BTW I also had a hycosy done privately as I didn’t want to wait a year on the NHS! @susie1984234 I take perceive max which contains 35ug D3. Can I ask what dose do you take? :)

@LucyLou0527 The line looks quite dark to me! Have you heard of the Premom app? You can upload pictures of your tests and the app will recognise your peak.

Thank you, I hope it’s like that for me. How’s your cycles on Letrozole been? Are you doing another? My partner and I actually went to go and do IVF but our fertility nurse said let’s try this first x

Hey, I know I’m over the moon!

Premom says it was 0.82 wet and 0.99 dry so I’m really happy with either🩷

@Plumchumm yeah they've given me enough letrozole to last until January when we have our ivf funding appointment. It's been okay, it obviously hasn't worked for us yet but it's increased my progesterone like it needed to and now with the added progesterone I just need to hope it works but tbh I'm not feeling hopeful 🫣. Really hope it works for you though! There's lots of mixed reviews on it for people who ovulate already x

@Angelselevenx Thank you, this is almost 3 times what I take! I’m off to Boots to buy some extra vitamin d today!!! 😅
Good news about your progesterone btw! Being hopeful is really hard while on this journey. I’ve been trying to convince myself to focus on the positives everyday 😅

@LucyLou0527 Happy for you👏

Your doing better than me! It didn't increase my progsterone
Sending all the luck

susie1984234 · 13/09/2024 08:36

@BreakfastOats im taking 5000 I.E Vitamin D every day and have been for about 6 months now. Haven't had my AMH checked lately so not sure if it's improving but it can't do any harm :)
Taking also folic acid, coq10, vitamin E and melatonin as well. I read It Starts With the Egg and this was recommended for miscarriage prevention.

Have you had your feretin tested ?

Low feretin can make implantation impossible

My consultant discussed feretin with me yest

worldwidetravel2017 · 13/09/2024 11:15

B4 IVF its good to do that vaginal micro-sonething test

Via screen me

Costs 300 gbp

And NHS dont offer it..

Many fertility staff have suggested it

My mate who did private IVF did it b4 ivf too

LucyLou0527 · 13/09/2024 15:36

Am I covered?

I have had sex pretty much every day this week including last night (peak) and this morning.

is that enough?

please ignore the cycle days and times, I haven’t uploaded the tests properly

2nd off bottom was this morning and bottom was this afternoon
